customer was told in the first place, which according to the statement was incorrect information.
What the customer was told by the store when redeeming the certificate and from 1-800[redacted] was correct. This is also what is stated on the coupon.
The consumer's desired resolution is more than suitable for us in this instance, but again is counter to company policy. We will have to redeem the coupon, do a refund for the value of the perfume as a cash sale, and use that amount as a credit towards the larger size.
In the effort of avoiding conflict we will do this. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience this caused and accept responsibility for the mis-information initially given to the customer.
