Continually billing, and adding interest, for work that was never completedWhen I first went to this mechanic I had five mostly minor problems and one more significant one. Out of the five, they only fixed one, which was a taillight that had gone out. They charged me for working on all five problems, and for the taillight repair, I had to return four times, once because they were supposed to remove the part from another car they had and had not bothered to do so, nor had they bothered to call me and tell me they hadn't done so, so I went 15 miles out of my way for nothing; both the other two times because they presumed the light fixed and didn't so much as put their foot on the brake and look at the tail light to see if it actually was fixed before they returned the car to me. One of the minor things they were supposed to have done was give my car an oil change, which they also charged me for. Shortly after I got the car back my oil light went off. I went to an oil change shop and they told me my car was COMPLETELY OUT OF OIL. I did not have an oil leak. They had emptied my oil and not refilled it. When I called to complain, the owner apologized and said they would "take care of" me the next time I came in. So I went back to them one more time they were the only [redacted] mechanic I knew of in the area, they had a lot of dead [redacted] that they used for spare parts (saving money on parts), and they owed me from the bad oil change. As with the previous occasions, they did not manage to fix the problem on the first attempt, and told me they would remove the part from another vehicle and call me so I could bring the car back in when they had collected the part. They never called me. I didn't bother to call them, I had had enough. Then I start receiving bills! They had never even fixed the problem, and they had said they would "take care of" me next time I came in, yet they kept sending me bills. I called the owner and told him what happened and reminded him that he'd said he would cover my next visit, but he was already mad because I'd given them a bad review on [redacted] which he insisted I remove. He demanded I pay. I told him I would not. I have now been billed six times since they didn't repair my car and didn't call me to come back in, each time adding interest. I refuse to pay this neither the bill for services they did not complete, nor the interest. If this cannot be settled by the I will have to take legal action for harassment, I guess. So far I don't think he has damaged my credit, but if he does this will go to court! I never demanded return of any of the money I paid for the repairs they did not complete prior to the last one, but I WILL NOT PAY their ridiculous bills again. If he doesn't leave me alone, my next complaint will include damages.Desired SettlementI want him to zero out my balance and then LEAVE ME ALONE. If he has reported anything to credit bureaus he must withdraw and correct it.Business Response first of all she never had any minor problems and we explained this to her but she is a very rude person I will be mailing the my response with copies of the 4 actual times she was billed and the last bill that she never payed and she never intended to pay not 6 like she claims and the slander and lies are very upsettingshe is a very rude and mean person she left nasty messages on our answering machine and threatened me if I didn't stop billing her and worst of all gave us a lying review on [redacted] Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I stand by my initial complaint, which is consistent also with my complaint about this business on [redacted] I was never told that I needed a new part and did not refuse to pay for one. I paid this business repeatedly for work that was unsuccessful. When I returned the last time it was ONLY because the owner had told me that he would "take care of me" next time I came in due to the fact that after my suppose it oil changed I had found there was no oil in the engine! I was not impatient last time I went in there, they did not complete the job; I actually asked if they wanted payment and they said we would settle it next time I came in, after they had taken the part from another vehicle and put it in my car. They were supposed to call me when they were ready. They never called. Due to the previous problems I didn't call them either. Then they wanted me to pay for the unfinished job. The fact that the job remained unfinished was THEIR FAULT. Also the owner had said he would "take care of me" next time I came in. So that's two reasons why I don't owe them any money. I would like to get back the money I already paid them previously but it's too much trouble. I certainly will not pay them any more!! This business continues to send me more bills with more interest added. It appears I will have to take them to court myself.I will call your office for advice on how to proceed.
