Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this case should be closed By case resolved, I mean that the business and I have "agreed to part ways" with no further interaction - I don't ask him to remediate and he does not invoice I disagree with the characterization that I could not be made happy, all I ever asked for was what was in the contract No more, no less I was very surprised that no one would come out to look at the site and evaluate my quality concerns first hand, but I guess that is just how they do business Sincerely, [redacted]

I have nothing nice to say about [redacted] and therefor I will not say anything at all about himBut I will say we new early on we were not going to please him even if we paved his driveway with goldWe did not pave his driveway neither did we finalized prep work on the driveway, we asked to part ways with him and wished him good with his projectNever billed him

I am sorry that [redacted] is still dissatisfiedWe have not heard from Mr [redacted] in any way not phone or email since our last conversation to remind him for the payment back in 2015, which he did sent in fullPlease, if he has emailed or called I would like to see proof of that, only because I am trying to be on top of every email or call that comes inAnd it is true the driveway stands and it will stand in his property for years to come the quality of work is perfectWe have send people out to see his job as a references and they loved it We try our best to provide with quality work and leave customers happy with the outcome, however no matter the effort it may not workWe appreciate the his work and wish him the best

Co [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:It looks like they are still are having a communications problemI tried calling them and email them several times and they still did not respond, I believe the Revdex.com also had the same problemSo I just decide to holdup on payment and see what would happenAfter several weeks a woman who I had talked to me before the trouble finally calledShe wanted me to payI explained to her of the complaints I hadShe said they would look into and possible sent a inspector to contacts usThat never happened! The major complaints are:1) They shortened the width from original size, so that now it is difficult drive out of the garage with going on the lawnThe people that the laid the base had the layout base so that it was same as the originalThey even ask me if it was the right size2.) When the paving people came they first thing they was to removed some of base material along the sidesThey then applied asphalt and rolled it with small portable roller, not the large roller that a paving company would use We now have small ruts on places in the driveway where the asphalt was not rolled properlyThe outside edges near the top are breaking upThe sides have not been integrated with the lawn so that is a large step in pavement between grass and the drivewayIn a short period of time the driveway will breaking up and we will have to have redoneThis was all reported when I filled the complaint and put bad review on their site I guess the grade they got from the Revdex.com is weighting on themAny body who like can inspect for themselves and I will point out the problems Sincerely, [redacted]

+1

We apologize to him one thousand times as we did not get to see him in proper timingWe meet with *** early this year and went over his concernsWhen driveway is newly paved the oil levels are in the surface and attract water making hard for it flow off of the pavement fast,
especially on areas where the pitch is very small

I am confused from M*** complaint, on all the conversation we had he never mention anything about his complains. He is right about the communication part and I do apologize to him for thatLast year do to a lot of changes we were going thru in our office and the big amount of work that was
coming at the same time we did luck on our communication part with a few of our customers and we do apologize for that to all who did feel the luck of communication from us*** was quoted to remove and repave existing driveway and that is what we didHowever, while the driveway was in base ( and his was in base for one month) *** *** did not mention anything about the driveway width been smaller than his original driveway which he was quoted for, or even express that he desired or thought the driveway was going to be bigger. If he had mention something we would have went and addressed his concerns at that time, widen the driveway or narrow it at his desire ** *** ***'s driveway we used the same tools and equipment we have used and use on driveways we pave each year, in the last yearsHis driveway does not have a pitch and when no pitch the water flows slower off of the pavement, and in cases like this there is nothing you can do

We apologize to him one thousand times as we did not get to see him in proper timingWe meet with *** early this year and went over his concernsWhen driveway is newly paved the oil levels are in the surface and attract water making hard for it flow off of the pavement fast,

I am rejecting this response because:It looks like they are  still are having a communications problem. I tried calling them and email them several times and they still did not respond, I believe the Revdex.com also had the same problem. So I just decide to holdup on payment and see what would happen. After several weeks a woman who I had talked to me before the trouble finally called. She wanted me to pay. I explained to her of the complaints I had. She said they would look into and possible sent a inspector to contacts us. That never happened! The major complaints are:1) They shortened the width from original size, so that now it is difficult drive out of the garage with going on the lawn. The people that the laid the base had the layout base so that it was same as the original. They even ask me if it was the right size. 2.) When the paving people came they first thing they was to removed some of base material along the sides. They then applied asphalt and rolled it with small portable roller, not the large roller that a paving company would  use.  We now have small ruts on places in the driveway where the asphalt was not rolled properly. The outside edges near the top are breaking up. The sides have not been integrated with the lawn so that is a large step in pavement between grass and the driveway. In a short period of time the driveway will breaking up and we will have to have redone. This was all reported  when I filled the complaint and put bad review on their site I guess the grade they got from the Revdex.com is weighting on them. Any body who like can inspect for themselves and I will point out the problems.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Really, it has been over a year since they messed up the driveway. Why at this time are they responding to complain? The quality of there work is far from perfect. Now I have stated this several times and they keep returning with same response. Nobody came to me from their company to try and resolve the problem, they are long of words but short on action.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: When the paving people came to installed the asphalt, they reduce the width of the paving surface on each side by about one foot. They didn't roll the surface with the proper rolling device. The driveway contains ridges in it because of the improper rolling.Desired Settlement: I am not a rolling expert, but if possible I like the driveway restored to original without causing an overall problem to whole drive

Review: This past summer August 24 - September 3, 2015, Nardi Masonry performed work at my residence in [redacted], Ct. The scope of work included removal of existing driveway and installation of new driveway. After two weeks and the first on set of significant rain I noticed a substantial area before the two drains was collecting water and not flowing into the drain and thus pooling up. I called Ana at Nardi Masonry and she told me to wait a bit and let the oils absorb into the driveway and call back. The next heavy rain was in early October and at this I called and emailed pictures. Ana indicated someone would come out to look at it. We received more rain just before Thanksgiving and I called and sent more pictures on November 20th. Ana did not respond back to messages. I then was able to get in touch with Debbie who was taking messages on December 7th, she indicated that all repairs would be addressed and complete by December 18. It is January 11th and my drive way is not repaired and no-one has contacted me.Desired Settlement: At this juncture I would would prefer restitution of an amount to repair the driveway as I believe that the business can not be trusted to stand by their work and warranty.

Review: Nardi Masonry & Paving has been contacted on numerous occasions to resolve issues with the quality of work performed at my home. Immediately following the paving of my driveway, Nardi was contacted regarding two areas of concern (specificially, severe degradation of the asphalt). To date, Nardi has yet to remedy this issueDesired Settlement: Repair the two areas of concern immediately.

Review: Contract was for paving a parking area at my primary residence. During phase 1 of the work (excavation, base preparation), numerous contract violations were made by Nardi. This included:

Not enough soil removed, level grading rather than pitched grading, insufficient base material, incorrect base material, no compaction performed, insufficient space remaining to install top layer of asphalt.

I repeatedly contacted the owner but he is only interested in getting paid, not in resolving my concerns.Desired Settlement: I require either a quick resolution of all my concerns, which unfortunately would require a complete removal of all material and work to begin anew. All new work must be per the existing contract.

OR

A binding statement from Nardi that no payment will be requested for work performed and that we have no further contact.
