Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] [I do not accept this response for all of the reasons previously stated in my original complaint Am I, as the consumer, not allowed to have any rights? The big insurance companies can do as they please without any regard to my rights No notification or warning was issued The claim from February of this year should have been treated as one They were definitely related Since the pipe was broken underground it caused the boiler to keep refilling with fresh water, which contains too many minerals and it completely corroded the parts inside the boiler, which runs in a closed system and should not be refilling with fresh water So in fact one thing caused the other and therefore were related and should have been treated as one claim This has caused me great damage I cannot get any insurance company to insure my home How can a company be allowed to do this to the consumer Leaving me with no recourse The insurance companies just take and take premiums and when the time comes that you need them this is what happens How are they protecting my home? This is unacceptable, especially the way that this was handled Regards, [redacted]

Dear Sir/Madam: Narragansett Bay Insurance Company is in receipt of *** ***'s complaint. NBIC reserves the right to issue a non-renewal if the risk being insured no longer meets the company's underwriting guidelines and the non-renewal is within the timeframe allowed by the
state. NBIC reviewed the frequency of losses submitted by Mr***. This policyholder filed a total of five claims in the past three years and received a claims payment on four the reported claims. As a result, NBIC made the decision not to renew this policy as the risk no longer meets our company underwriting guidelines. Two claims, February 21, and February 22, for boiler damage were filed as two separate claims for repairs. These two claims are unrelated to each other. Each required separate adjustments and repair estimates. Even if the boiler damage was to be listed as one claim, the insured still would not meet our company's underwriting guidelines standard of three paid losses in the past three years. Our underwriting department has called the insured directly to explain our company's reason for non-renewal. If you require anything further please contact me at *** or (*** *** *** ***

Dear Sir or Madam:NBIC received a cancellation request on 2/12/requesting to cancel this policy effective 11/28/2015; an email was sent to the agency on 2/12/advising we were unable to retroactively cancel the policy without proof of replacement coverageAccording to our records we did not
receive the proof of replacement coverage until 10/18/at which time a manual cancellation of the policy was processed effective 11/27/Two refunds checks were generated; a $pro-rated refund (for the dates between 11/27/2015-11/28/2016) and which the insured confirmed she received, and we mailed a refund on 11/in the amount of $2,246.00. This check was cashed on 11/7/It appears this has been resolved, let me know if you have any questionsSincerely,*** ** ***Legal and Regulatory Compliance

[I do not accept this response for all of the reasons previously stated in my original complaint.   Am I, as the consumer, not allowed to have any rights?  The big insurance companies can do as they please without any regard to my rights.  No notification or warning was issued.  The claim from February of this year should have been treated as one.  They were definitely related.  Since the pipe was broken underground it caused the boiler to keep refilling with fresh water, which contains too many minerals and it completely corroded the parts inside the boiler, which runs in a closed system and should not be refilling with fresh water.  So in fact one thing caused the other and therefore were related and should have been treated as one claim.  This has caused me great damage.  I cannot get any insurance company to insure my home.  How can a company be allowed to do this to the consumer.  Leaving me with no recourse.   The insurance companies just take and take premiums....  and when the time comes that you need them this is what happens.  How are they protecting my home?  This is unacceptable, especially the way that this was handled.
