PowerTig unit came with the foot petal (apparently rare) included - the controls are all useful and it works well - thin AC work is difficult as the current can not go super low in AC modeYou can also use stick with this unit and the polarity is reversibleAC frequency control can be a godsend in certain applicationsOther economy TIG units have tons of knobs and switches - read the reviews, most are useless to the average hobby welder and are just set and forget anywayEverything on this unit is usefulMany of the [redacted] welders have non-linear foot controls (read the longevity reviews and you will see what I mean), and use the same crappy design which electrically can never be linear (I looked into it) - this one is truly linearOnly wish would be for more current control of AC current at the low endPreviously I purchased an Eastwood/Longevity unit - returned it to buy this unit --very happy I didTIG torch is a run of the mill [redacted] unit - regulator is better than the Eastwood/Longevity unit
