As a person who does not consider himself "old" - in the pejorative sense of the word - I resisted my daughter and sister's efforts to find me housing after a bout with cancerHowever, the manager, Phll ***, with deep ties to the Church of Christ, the long time owner-manager of this story hi-rise on Murfreesboro Road, opposite the landmark *** Restaurant, was warm and engaging, and, most important, an apartment was available quickly when I needed itNow, a few months later, after having a half dozen friends over in various modes, cooking, eating out at a 'cookout' watching Television (a big one in a group room, but alone, as most others have a TV), I find myself meeting the diversity of age, injury, race, religion, income, (some drive some ride the group bus to shop,) an interesting experiment in post civil rights era senior living, as my first case as a Tennessee Attorney in dealt with the civil rights act, as applied to housingI look forward to continuing to grow and know others in my building, and also to continue my life post cancer recovery, and this is a good caring place to do it*** ** ***, member ** *** ** Tennessee Bar to :)
