A bad experience
The sad thing is, even if you send them several lyrics they will always come back with one they say they like, and like any BS artist they one they finish they say it turned out great. The one they did for me Mr. Cristaldi sounded like a drunk who could not carry a tune. Everyone I played he song for gave me a look like, you must be kidding with this singer. In fact he sounded more like he was reading the lyrics with his very nasal vocal. The reason I gave them 1 star instead of 0 was because you can't give a 0 and the instrumentals were pretty good, the only redeeming quality. I doubt they even shop most of the songs out but are just happy to take your money.

2 Feet Deep
rachel, said she liked my song 2 feet deep so I sent her a demo so she could see how the chorus went.she said she'd let me know about it,but she didn't get back to me. where's the review you advertise?or is this another scam to get a poor man's money? there's no better feeling than common curtesy to a songwriter.i'm embarassed writing you this for fear that your gonna be one more songwriter who helps themselves preying on musicians like me..
sincerely,

A FEW YEARS BACK...
A few years back I sent in 3 submissions. Although they said all three were excellent, they stated that my song, "Nothing in Between," was a spectacular song. So, I had them produce it. The music was excellent but the lead vocal I did not care for. However, on the bright side, they DID do a karaoke version for me and I recorded my own vocals.

All in all I was quite pleased and would recommend them to anyone. I will be submitting more of my songs for evaluation.

This is my honest review of Nashville Song ServiceLets starts with:
(Song package prices)
When I was looking for a song service to demo my songs I goggled "song demo services." There are several out thereBut what made Nashville Song Service stand out to me was that they offered month payment plans whereas other song demo companies preferred month payment plans at the mostWhen one is on a budget having these payments stretched out over months is easier than having to pay half up frontNashville Song Service song packages are very affordable to my budgetI like to go with the standard song package which has all the major instruments to produce a good song of any genreNashville Song Service will also give you a discount when you purchase several song packages at once
(Quality)
Nashville Song Service songwriters who write the melodies to my lyrics, the producers who arrange the music, the professional singers and talented musicians are very professional and good! When a singer sings a song and puts so much of their heart into that song and makes the listener believe they wrote that song, that is an amazing singerNashville Song Service has very gifted musicians who create the atmosphere to the song and make it stand out and be memorableTheir musicians make my songs sound CD quality, or better yet, studio recording qualityAnd I am blown away with how their music producers and songwriters can take my lyrics and pick up on the melody that was in my head when I wrote the songThere music studio make lyricist look good! That is just how professional they areIt is true, Nashville Tennessee is certainly the capital of country musicBut Nashville Song Service can also produce one's songs into many other genres which I am very impressed with
(Costumer service)
I have had the wonderful pleasure to work with the Writer Relations Coordinator, Rachel CristaldiMrsCristaldi has been professional, kind, flexible, and completely honest with me the entire time I have been doing business with Nashville Song ServiceThere were times when she would contact me to let me know about song promotions going onShe is completely honest when one submits songsShe will let you know where the song is the strongest and give you positive feedback on what she has experienced artist she has worked with would like about the songShe will also share any weak points about your song and anything she has experienced artist or listeners may not like about the songI know from experience because I have written some real stinkers that she shock her head on, so I put those song in the folder called "The ones that did not make it." That let me know Nashville Song Service is not going to just take our money and produce anything that is submittedThey truly care about the songwriter and also their own reputationShe will share some changes that will improve the song and ask you, as the songwriter, what you think about the suggestions and changesShe is very good at sending you pre-production notes so you are aware of what is about to happen to your songAt that point you can let her know if you want to make any changes to the pre-production notesThe pre-production notes have a details of who will be singing your song, such as a male or female vocalistThe pre-production notes also have details of what genre the song will be, such as slow, fast paced, pop, country, etcIt has been my experience that MrsCristaldi is not only there to help assist in our songwriter on a business level, but she will also become your friendSometimes she will contact you if she has not heard from you in a while just to see how things are going in your songwritingOne time I remember I was writing a song and I was stuck in a writers blockMrsCristaldi encouraged me to send her the lyrics and she said she will be glad to help me out with suggestions where I was stuck in the songThat is a very kind thing to doShe has such a gentle, sweet and caring heart
In closing, I would like to say I have written songs and Nashville Song Service have produced 97% of themThey produce song demos that will make any record label or artist want to listen toIt is so nice to work with someone who has excellent customer service communication, flexible rates and are truly your friend
I would highly recommend Nashville Song Services to anyoneJust take a listen at their beautiful sample demo songs

I paid $500.00 to have my lyrics put to music with a vocalist. I wasn't crazy about the results and asked them to change the way the singer sang it. Not close to enough emotion in it. They did do that but still sounds real hokey for the type song it is. But she swore it was very good and the people looking for songs were not listening to the vocalist but there words. I didn't hear anything and contacted them and was told it was being showcased that month. It's been over a year since I heard from them and just sent another email last week. Nothing so far. Seems like since they got my money their interest decreased dramatically. This is a great song about Alzheimer that would help a lot of people going through so much right now that they aren't alone.

I've used NSS for 4 fully finished works. I wrote the lyrics and they did the music. I was impressed with my first song, "A Girl Like That". It was fun and quirky and I thought they hit it head on. So, I went ahead and did more works with them (some at 2 a time). "Tonight" I was mostly pleased with except I didn't feel the singer had enough feistiness behind her voice. I didn't feel she was a good pick to sing my song for the demo. Following that, I had two more songs done. "A Little Jaded" was pretty good music wise but, I disliked the person they chose to sing it. I felt she was not fit for my song at all. She didn't have a bad voice, but just didn't work with my lyrics. The other song I had done, I wasn't impressed with the singing and the way it was done with my lyrics. Also, I've encountered a BIG issue with not getting responses from the company when asking about the songs they are supposed to be pitching. I've spent a great deal of money out. I know I have talent and have caught interest but, doing my own pitching...My work hasn't been picked up but, I continue to try...and to write. I just feel I'll probably leave the company I've used for five years (Nashville Song Service) and try another company for single song contracts for my future songs. Good luck to fellow songwriters.

I had a song produced by NSS and even though, it wasn't the same as the sheet music I wrote out for them. I did like the demo. I am not sure if I would recommend NSS to anyone. They seem to charge an awful lot....with no guarantee that you will get your music published. A cousin warned me about this, saying, "I think they just want your money!!" This is what I come to realize!!
