I would really like  to thank the Revdex.com for trying to mediate and resolve this case .[redacted] was well informed from our repair shop that his battery and his front tire was indeed no good ,reason being is that when his vehicle was towed in to my repair shop the first time with the faulty transmission the vehicle came in with a dead battery & a flat tire..The vehicle needed a boost to start , when we repairs were completed to [redacted]'s transmission , I personally called him to tell him that we must install the new battery & tire or else your vehicle will fail ,it was then [redacted] stated that he did not have the funds at this time and that he would replace them at later time .Keep in mind [redacted]'s vehicle sat at my repair shop for over a month while he was gathering the funds for repairs we preformed . As stated in my previous letter [redacted] purchased this car  less then a year ago in very poor condition I explained to him repeatedly that his car was purchased from a used car dealer in a as is condition with multiple issues .[redacted] is upset with my repair shop for a vehicle he purchased in poor condition .Currently [redacted]'s vehicle is parked at my repair shop with a faulty motor that needs to be repaired .Repairs preformed at our repair shop was strictly focused on the transmission  .

Review: On Saturday 11/**/14, my fiance dropped off my 2006 Hyundai Sonata (Blue) for repair. it was explained to the mechanic [redacted], at [redacted]'s auto that the car would not start. It would start when it wanted to but only if you messed with the wheel. It was out of luck that the car started and was able to be brought to [redacted]s Auto on 11/**/14. Later on that Saturday we received a phone call from [redacted] saying the car was ready to be picked up and all was well, and that the cost would be $125. We went to pick up the car later that day and the car did not start at the mechanics, at which point [redacted] looked a little confused. I wasn't quite sure why he tried to charge $125 for a job that was not complete. No money was exchanged, [redacted] said that he believed that it may be an electrical issue and that tomorrow 11/** on Sunday, he would have a specialist look at the car. We never received a phone call on Sunday, we called at around 5pm and another mechanic picked up, (I didn't get his name) [redacted] wasn't around, this person stated that fixing it was very difficult and it wasn't going to get done that day. At this point, I am very disappointed with the service thus far. I went to speak to a [redacted] on Monday 11/**/14, saw my car and noticed that underneath the steering wheel was taken apart. We spoke with [redacted], told him everything above. [redacted] stated that they don't "work" on Sundays ( so I have already been lied too). When I informed [redacted] that [redacted] was trying to charge me $125, saying my car was fixed, he had nothing to say. At this point [redacted] said he would run a diagnostic test (not sure why that wasn't done in the first place), that would cost $95. I decided to have my car towed and brought to a mechanic that I usually go to ( I was referred to [redacted]'s by a friend who spoke very highly of them). [redacted] had someone connect what ever was taken a part from under the steering wheel and we left. I noticed that my car alarm didn't work (it was working fine when we brought it there Saturday). Now my current mechanic has called me to ask me what happened underneath my steering wheel, as there were a bunch of wires that had been cut, which was not the case before. I am not sure why [redacted]'s would cut any wires when they claim they didn't know what the problem was. I called [redacted] later that morning explaining what my current mechanic told me. His answer was no one cut anything, and that it's not his fault that I had an alarm put on by some street people. I have had my auto start car alarm installed over 4 years ago and it was done professionally. I explained how can I believe that no one cut the wires, when I have already been lied to twice. He wouldn't let me explain, kept talking over me. He offered me no resolution. I asked that I be reimbursed what the cost is to fix the wires that were cut and the repair of the alarm. The other cost of my original problem would be paid my self to my current mechanic. He took absolutely no responsibility for the actions of his staff or himself. I will admit I became very unprofessional in the end, because he kept changing the subject and not discussing the problem at hand, telling me to call back and speak with [redacted]. I stated you are the [redacted], you should be speaking with [redacted]. My car is still at my current mechanic, trying to fix the cut wire problem as well as alarm.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the amount to fix the cut wires as well as the amount to fix the car alarm. I won't have an amount until the mechanic contacts me, or at the very least [redacted]s auto should make a reasonable offer based on what was done to my car as well as the customer service that we experienced.

Review: My 2009 Audi A4 brokedown on the Bruckner Expressway on the morning of November [redacted], 2013. It was subsequently towed to [redacted]'s Auto Care in the Bronx to have work completed. The garage assured us that it was using the exact parts required for the job in line with Audi servicing standards. On January [redacted], the car would not start as the battery was dead. After recharging the battery, the engine "ticked" and made strange sounds so I brought it to the Audi dealer in Connecticut where I purchased the vehicle. The servicing department informed me that [redacted]'s Auto Care used improper equipment to provide a temporary fix to the car and that over the long term, the alternator and battery they used would cause severe damage to the car. This led to $1500 in repairs at the Audi dealership to resolve the problem on top of the $1345.64 already charged by [redacted]'s.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund to my credit card asap. I've contact the merchant several times prior to this in attempt at resolving the matter but Nate is unreasonable and not acknowledging the problems he caused to the vehicle.

Review: I took my 2005 mazda 6 the this shop because of the transmission not working. Three and a half weeks later I picked up my car. I drove it for about an hour and the car shuts off on me and did not want to turn back on. I had to call a tow truck to tow the car back to the shop. I paid $140 for the tow. The shop calls me two days later and tells me that a relay and battery had to be changed. My car had a new battery already that wasn't even a year old. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and told them to change the battery and relay. A week later I go to pick up the car. While I was there I wanted them to change a tire. I waited about 4 hours to get the tire changed. When the [redacted] brought the car, the car turned off. They turn it back on and now my car had engine issues. I can hear the engine knocking and see the engine idling rough. My engine was perfectly fine before I took my car to them. The [redacted] tells me not to worry and that it will go away. He tells me to test drive it. I get into my car and when I put it in drive, the car shuts off on me. I told the [redacted] that the car turned off. He then tells me that he will test drive the car with me. He gets in the driver seat and I in the passenger seat he and turns the car on. He puts it in drive and starts to drive out to the street. As soon as he gets to the street the car turns off. He then turns the car on again and starts to drive but the car is driving really slow. He floors the gas and the car is still driving slow. The car then turns off again. He tries to turn it on a few times. Finally it turns on again and he starts driving to head back to the shop. While he's driving, the car is moving really slow. The car turns off one last time a few blocks away from the shop. He tried turning on the car several times, but he wasn't successful. He states that now the battery has died. I told him but you put in a new battery. He didn't answer me. I then tell him, so you changed my battery for nothing. He didn't answer me once again. He then tells me we're gonna have to push the car into a parking spot, so we did. We walked to the shop and the [redacted] told me to call back on Friday. This was on Wednesday February ** that he told me to call on Friday. I call on Friday and they tell me that they are still looking into it and to call back on Saturday the ** of February. I called on Saturday and I speak to [redacted]. He tells me that the car now needs an oil pump. I was furious when he tells me this. He tells me that the car needs a new engine because it's impossible to change the oil pump. He tells me that if I would get a used engine, he won't know how many miles the engine will have. He then tells me that a rebuild of the engine will be a better option. A [redacted] is suppose to diagnose a car once and tell the customer all that is wrong with the car. I feel that they installed the transmission wrong and now they are trying to charge me to fix the problem they caused.Desired Settlement: A [redacted] is suppose to diagnose a car once and tell the customer all that is wrong with the car. I feel that they did not diagnose the car and just installed the transmission by what I said. They installed the transmission wrong and now they are trying to charge me to fix the problem they caused. I would like my money back for the transmission, battery, relay, and tow truck. I will take my car somewhere else to get it fixed.

Response:

[redacted] was towed in to my repair shop on approximately Jan * 2014..for a faulty transmission .[redacted]"s vehicle was stuck in snow and [redacted] damaged his transmission by trying to force his vehicle out of a snow embankment..His vehicle sat at my repair shop for over a month until he was able to get all the funds needed ,he was never charged for any storage fees for the month his vehicle was at my shop .. when the repairs where completed we road tested [redacted]'s vehicle and his transmission was running fine.[redacted] was informed that his battery & rt. front tire was no good and needed to be replaced ASAP,[redacted] refused additional repairs and stated he had no money at this time . [redacted] then drove off with his vehicle ,approx 3 or four hours later [redacted] called & stated that his vehicle shut off & would not start .I then explained [redacted] that we only worked on his transmission and that we will check out his vehicle at no charge. After we checked his vehicle problem that he is currently having is lifter noise coming form inside the engine ,which has no correlation with the transmission that we repaired ..he was told over & over that his engine failed from lack of maintenance and the best correction for his vehicle is to have his engine replaced .[redacted] is stuck on telling us that his engine failed because of a improper installation of his transmission which is absurd..[redacted]'s vehicle is still at our repair shop waiting for him to decided what he wants to do with is vehicle ..

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

The work that was done is not adequate. The tire and battery on the car were both changed by the [redacted] after I dropped off the car for the second time. They did not tell me about a battery and tire the first day I picked up my car therefor I did not refuse any changes to be done, I am in need of my car. The [redacted] assured me that they would fix the car after it's first diagnostic and yet the car is at the [redacted]s for the third time . One diagnostic informs you of all the defects the car has.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Review: After my vehicle shut-off on the GW bridge, the wrecker I got, insisted and took me to this garage. The garage personel told me that he would have to use his $5,000. 00 computer to determine what was wrong with the vehicle for a charge of $100.00.After paying for the diagnostic test, the serviceman used a basic volt meter and verified that the alternator was not charging; consequently it killed the battery. He told me that I needed those parts replaced. With regards to the battery,I told him that I have a four year warranty from [redacted] so I could go and get the replacement battery. At this point the garage personnel said the nearest [redacted] was some four blocks away and, he had checked and verified that a battery warranty is not more than one year.On completion, with the parts that he got from [redacted] which is actually at the end of his block on [redacted] ; I was billed for $795.82 to remove and replaced an alternator and battery.Desired Settlement: I have copy of his bills and actual cost from [redacted]. Besides there was extra charges for coolant which which was not done or necessary.I would like to fax the bills to your office.

Response:

I just want to thank Revdex.com for giving me a chance to explain to the public what really happened with our mutual customer [redacted]. First of all this is not the first time [redacted] did business with my establishment, she has frequented my business plenty of times with no problem whatsoever.[redacted] drove in to my repair shop on 6/*/14 for a routine oil change, which we preformed on her vehicle plenty of times in the past ,when her vehicle was up on my lift my tech noticed she had a slight oil leak coming from the lower part of the dipstick ,I then immediately tried to explain to her what was going on, but between her texting and talking on her phone she did not give us a chance to explain what was going on . The following day she came back arguing that we never "tightened her oil ", I again explained to her that it has a slight leak from the oil dipstick, and it was I who recommended to her to have the dealership rectify the prob lem under new car warranty .[redacted] was never charged any extra fees and her stating we were looking to get a extra charge is absolutely false . Thank you again in mediating this situation .

Review: I took my vehicle to Nate's Auto Corp. repair shop to fix the radiator, water pump and coolant. I paid over $800 for this work and 3 weeks later my vehicle overheated in the middle of the road in which I had to pay for a toll truck. I then took my vehicle to a local mechanic and they told me the radiator needed to be replaced because the original vehicle's radiator was old and damaged. It made no sense since I had just taken it to Nate's Auto Corp. and paid them for a new radiator and Coolant replacement. Additionally, I paid for the coolant and water pump replacement in Nate's Auto Corp. yet the local mechanic shop advised me that the water pump was also damaged and needed to be replaced. The mechanic told me all these pieces were the original pieces of my vehicle, there was never a new replacement of any kind. Therefore I realized they not only overcharged but they didn't really replace new pieces to my vehicle. So in the end I not only paid over $800.00 but I also had to invest in the toll truck.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund from Nate's Auto Corp. because my vehicle is still damaged and I do not wish to continue receiving any type of service from this Auto Shop due to the bad business practice they provided to me.

Review: On 8/**/2015 Bronx Auto Service replaced the engine in my car (2008 ford Escape) because he said the head gasket was blown and it was cheaper to replace the engine.I said ok. I thought I only needed a new water pump but it turned out to be more. He than gave me a 30 day warranty I paid $2,000.00 for this work done. After that on 9/**/2015 I was driving the car and the car would not go past 10mph I called the shop and they told me to let it rest and see what happens if it works it is good. I did just that called them back and told them the car was able to go on the highway now. They told me good everything was ok the fluids just needed to start circulating. Than on 9/**/2015 my car broke down I towed it back to the shop thinking it was the engine they could not figure out the problem for 4 days on the [redacted] fay he called and said I needed a new transmission and it would cost me $3000.00 I told him I could not afford that and I would have another shop pick it up. I called around and found 2 shops willing to pick my car up both shops willing to change me between $12,000-$1 ,800 with a one year warranty. I than called him for the address of his place when he asked me how much they said . I told him and he said he will match their price and warranty that he wanted my business. He said the car would be ready in 2 days after the [redacted] day when the car was not ready I went to the shop and asked him to give me my car back because they are taking to long with it that I wi take it elsewhere he would not release my car to me and told me the car was not there that he sent it to get fixed. He told me to come the next day it will be ready. He called the next day and told me it still was not ready. He kept the car for 8 days and called and said it was done. I went to the shop he told me the car was $2,000 which I did not agree to pay and that he was not going to be able to give me a warranty anymore. I told him that was not the deal so he said "oh yeah oh so I will charge you $1850 but still without a warranty. I did not agree to this and wanted my car. He told me he will not give me my car and thats the final deal or he keeps the car as payment. He took the credit card I was going to use to pay it and used it anyway telling me now he got his payment. I refused to sign the papers but he told me that I had to or he will still keep my car. Than told me dont worry about the warranty if anything goes wrong he will still fix it. I told him he was wrong for that special because the car was still not done all the way but needed a few more min. I was angry he scammed me with the warranty but they made me take the car since he used my credit card. I dove off and 5 min later the car check engine light came on and a few other lights also the car would not go past 5 mph. I went back to the shop they told me he left come back tomorrow. When I called in the morning he refused to let me bring the car back to the shop and told me he cant help me anymore. I told him I would report him. He told me to do what I got to do. So now I am here reporting him hopefully I will get some help.Desired Settlement: I want a refund he refused to check any part of my car and told me he no longer cared to deal with my car. He also made me pay for a service that he changed the price to and warranty to at the last minute and forced me to pay it.
