There was a complaint on our *** page, to which I replied the
following:
"The bar across the street (*** ** *** *** ** ***)
has a reputation for promoting over consumption of alcohol, as well as a history
of gun violenceIf we see you coming
from there, you will not be allowed in
This is for the safety of our patrons, as well as limiting our liability on
people that may go over there and throw down 3-quick shots, but aren't showing
symptoms of being intoxicated yet."
Every bar runs specials to encourage more business,
however *** ** *** *** ** *** has repeatedly run extreme specials like
Cent beers, and $Drinks, which are both illegal and dangerous. It takes at
least minutes for one serving of alcohol to be fully absorbed into your
system, which means they could drink 3-shots for $5, walk across the street to
our establishment without showing signs of intoxication, then get sick or pass
out from drinks that we did not serve them. We do not trust that they serve
alcohol responsibly, and do not want to be liable for their actions. That
location also had multiple instances of customers shooting at each other in
2012.
I'm not sure what she is referring to about the "previous
owner", I am the sole owner of Nathan's Patio Bar & Grill, and have been
since we opened in September 2009. The bar is named after me. Whatever the
"previous owner" told her husband really has no relevance to
us.
