Extremely unprofessional owner that will not reasonably deal with customers when they have a legitimate complaint.
I called General Window and spoke to Phil Duplesis, Owner of General Window, to report that their sub-contractor smelled of cigarette smoke; therefore my home smelled of cigarette smoke. Phil took my complaint, called the sub-contractor, and told the sub-contractor that I complained he was "smoking in my home". The sub-contractor called me to inform me that [redacted] said I complained he was "smoking in my home". I clearly did not say this. I simply complained that my home smelled of cigarette smoke because the sub-contractor is a heavy smoker and was inside my home. I called [redacted] again, after speaking to the sub-contractor, and asked why he blatantly lied about my complaint. Our conversation became heated and [redacted] hung the phone up on me. I called back to speak with [redacted] and I was directed to his son, [redacted]. [redacted] and I spoke of the incident in a civil manner; however, nothing was resolved. I will NOT use General Window again for any of my window needs. Not only was [redacted] rude and unprofessional, and the sub-contractor smelled of smoke; the windows took an extremely long time to come in, and the sub-contractor did not have all of the windows to replace in my home the first time he serviced my home. This miscalculation of windows led to the sub-contractor coming out a second time to replace the window that he missed. I am self-employed and this inconvenience cost me time away from work therefore costing me money. This incidence also showed me that [redacted], Owner of General Windows, is an unprofessional man that merely owns a business. If he were a true businessman, he would have spoken to me in a civil manner and not hang up the phone when I called to ask why he blatantly lied to his sub-contractor about my complaint.
