Nation-Wide Exterminating Service, Inc. Reviews (5)

[redacted].net8:44 AM (2 hours ago)to me Good Morning,             I spoke with a Kelsey O[redacted] and she recommended I speak with you regarding this matter. I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com on 1/30/15 and the assigned No. is [redacted] . I recently received a response saying that the complaint has been Adequately Resolved/ Administratively Resolved. However it was not and is not. The Contractor responded to our complaint and lied in his response. He would say anything to absolve himself of the "Damages" their Company/Technicians caused but your company took his word and closed the case. I was never contacted except to be told it was resolved. I am providing you a "Loss Report" by the Insurance Company that clearly confirms he is lying about "All" was fixed to My satisfaction. That is simply "Not True". Nation-Wide which is the company we hired to do our Bathroom Remodel has been extremely dishonest and refuses to "Compensate " us to have these "Damages" Repaired or Replaced by another Construction Company. I will attach the "Loss Report" and hope with this new evidence you will review this case again. I will need to forward it to your e-mail instead if you can send Me a reply I can forward the report. Thanks so much.                                                       [redacted]                                                           ###-###-####                                                            ###-###-####                                                [redacted].net

Dear [redacted]:
Our response to this complaint is that the bathroom work has been completed well within industry acceptable quality standards.  The client has contacted our insurance  company and filed a claim which is now being...

investigated.
I have personally visited the home, met with **. and [redacted], and [redacted]t over the few items that  we all agreed needed to be "touched-up," had someone out within a day or two to address these issues, and ALL were fixed to her satisfaction.  There were no complaints at that time of completion other than her dissatisfaction with the length of time the job took to complete.  We agreed it took approximately two days longer than anticipated.
As a matter of good-will and in order to initiate  an acceptable resolution, we offered a credit of $200.00 toward the final balance . The  [redacted] immediately counter-offered with a request for a $500.00 credit.   We accepted their offer and accepted the final payment, less the $500.00 credit.  We had assumed that this was a good-faith settlement,  mutually agreed upon.  It was clearly their offer (via email) and our option to accept, which we did.
She has also contacted [redacted], a manufacturer of much of the installed product.  They have informed me that she claims to have instituted a lawsuit against our company.  We have not received any other information about this
thus far.
We have been informed by counsel not to discuss the matter any further.
Respectfully submitted,
Brad C[redacted]

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: They caused "Damages" to our Bathroom while doing construction on our "Toilet" while "Jackhammering" . They "Substituted Products" and "Installed Damaged Products". Their contract states that they "Guarantee" their work but have "Refused" to finish the work or "Replace" the Tub and Shower Doors that were damaged. This was done while their "Technician" who is "Not A Licensed Contractor" was using "His Jackhammer" to move our Toilet over. They have also made no effort to offer the cost of their "Damages' and on top of all of this they "Abandoned" the project. This needs to be reported so that someone looking to hire "Nation-Wide" is aware of their "Negligence"
Regards,

Review: Technician drilled into the ground and severed an electrical line. The account Rep. promised to supply an electrician to fix the problem they never returned my calls to have the work done. The company still refuses to contact me after numerous tries on my part.Desired Settlement: If Nation-Wide chooses not to repair the damage they have caused, I want to be compensated for the repairs.

Response:

Dear **. [redacted]:

Our practice has always been to comply with the law when disturbing the soil for the purpose of digging to perform a treatment for termites.

We contacted the Pennsylvania "One-Call" system who had the various utility companies visit the property and "mark-out" the location of all the legally installed underground utility lines. The locations are "marked" using various colors of fluorescent marking paint used on the surface of the soil.

Fortunately we had no indication that the line had been severed until the homeowner contacted our company. Apparently the connection has been completely disabled and is now in a safe condition.

There are very specific guidelines (building codes) governing the installation of underground electrical lines. Our technician could have easily been electrocuted. A check with the local township found no permit having been issued, and no inspection or approval of this hidden, improperly installed, and dangerous underground electrical supply line obviously installed by the homeowner in a substandard fashion.

It would be negligent, irresponsible, and absolutely dangerous to reconnect this power line as suggested by the homeowner.

There is simply no way we can comply with the wishes of this client. We are making no recommendation on how to remedy his concern. We're just happy that our technician was not injured.

Please advise.

Sincerely,

General Manager

Review: We have been with Nationwide for almost 20 years with no problems. We have had an ant problem for over a year so I have had more service calls than usual. I had a service guy out in Feb, March, and April. Each time we had a different tech which is fine. In March, the guy that was here sprayed in our powder room which had just been painted. He used something that left brown sticky stains all over our walls, it looks like someone threw a cup of coffee on the walls. I called about it and had to set up for another guy to come out in April for the ants. Someone was supposed to call me about sending someone out (not a tech) to look at the walls. I heard nothing and called about 3 more times, spoke with a [redacted] and then [redacted] who I guess is some kind of manager there. She kept telling me the same thing, someone would call. Then my husband started calling and she guaranteed that he would hear something the same day. We still have not heard a word back from anyone with any authority. That is just horrible customer service.Desired Settlement: We would like to be reimbursed for a gallon of paint for the powder room since the room had just been painted. We also want them to stop contacting us for our quarterly service since their customer service stinks and we have been with them for so long and this is how they take care of their long time clients. Thank you

Response:

We treat approximately 150 homes every day with the same solution which was applied at this house. Our products go through exhaustive and incredibly extensive testing before they are approved by the EPA to be

applied in homes, schools, and food processing areas of restaurants. It is my understanding that it had been explained that there is nothing we use that could be described the was he has described this substance he is seeing on his walls in his newly painted powder room. All of our products are colorless, completely odorless, and water based. They will never stain anything that it not stained by water itself.

As a matter of goodwill, I am sending this client the $20.00 he has asked for.

I hope this resolves this matter.
