I have reviewed the complaint filed with the Revdex.com,
ID#***After interviewing my staff and the notes pertaining to Mr
***’s business in our office, I do believe Mr*** lodged a complaint
with the wrong companyOn 10/7/at 4:13pm eastern one of my employees,
reached out to Mr
*** concerning a debt that had been incurred by him and
being handled by our officeHe claimed he paid this debt with another company
She reviewed the account with him and compared original account numbers and
balancesMr*** stated he wanted to compare the information she gave him
with what he had on file and would get back with her in a day or twoOn 10/9/
at 1:55pm eastern Mr*** called my employee and informed her that the information
she had given him was accurateHe also stated the company he paid prior had
not only inflated the balance he owed but the account numbers were different
than what he had on recordMr*** also stated he contacted the company he
paid prior to inform them their information did not match what he had on
recordHe asked them for a refund which they refusedThis company told him if
he disputed the payment with his credit card company he could face fraud charges
My employee informed Mr*** this would not be the case and if he wanted she
would be more than happy to contact our client for him and provide a chain of
title for said debtMr*** provided a credit card to our company to pay
the debtMr*** received two letters by email (requested by him as
preferred over regular mail) that I personally sent to himThe first was
10/7/with the information he was requesting such as account number,
balance, name of current creditor and original creditor and allowing him to
dispute the validity the debtThe second email sent 10/12/confirmed his
paymentAt no time did anyone in my office threaten any legal or criminal
action against Mr***Nor were any calls made to any of his relativesMy
employees have an average of years in the collection industry and adhere to
all FDCPA rulesI have not tried to contact Mr*** to ask him if he meant
to file the complaint against this other company and filed against NAS group by
mistakeI am asking The Revdex.com to contact Mr*** to clear our good nameI do
realize mistakes can be made especially if one of the players is not playing by
the rules by making threats that are not only unenforceable but downright
illegal. Vance ***

Dear *** ***,Thank you for allowing me to address your concernsMy records indicate we tried to reach you by phone on two occasionsOn October 12th and November 2, Both times a message was left on voice mailYou returned the call on November 2, I did review the tape recording
and the agent, per company policy and to ensure we do not disclose personal information to a third party, did attempt to verify the last four digits of your social security number or date of birthYou refused to acknowledge such informationThe agent informed you that without being able to verify we had the correct party on the line that he would not be able to discuss anything furtherYou terminated the call.Per your request we have closed and returned the file to our client as a cease and desist

Mr. [redacted] in response to your complaint to the Revdex.com, NAS Group is a collection agency. We do contact individuals who have not paid their debts, both within the statutes of limitations and out of the statute. If a debt is out of the statutes of limitations it infers to the fact...

that the creditor can no longer sue you as a means to collect the debt. It does not mean the debt is forgiven or it just goes away. It is still a debt incurred by you that needs to be repaid. We understand there are situations that prevent an individual from repaying their debts and we do strive to work with those individuals to find a solution that works for all parties. You stated you have not answered or returned our calls. So how is it you determined your debt is out of the statutes of limitations? You haven’t given us the opportunity to work with you and explore options that may be available to you to resolve a debt incurred by you. You state you read on the internet we are a scam. National Account Services Group LLC is not a scam. We are registered with the NY State Department of State as an LLC and as stated earlier we do collect debts. It doesn’t surprise me there are websites and forums designed to help people avoid paying their bills. A quick internet search using the phrase “how to avoid paying credit card debt” resulted in 10,300,000 results. Your request for NAS Group to stop calling you, although not mailed to us as a cease communication request, will be honored. However because your debt is not resolved, it does not prevent another agency down the road from trying to contact you to collect. Remember simply avoiding paying your bills doesn’t make them go away.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]
