To whom it may concern; This is in response to Revdex.com complaint #[redacted].[redacted] is an experienced individual in the automotive industry who decided to pursue a career as an automotive sales trainer with National Auto Academy. As a trainer, he received training materials that consisted...

of a PowerPoint curriculum, books for students, and paperwork for himself, our --- dealerships, and his students. [redacted] also received training on how to conduct his classes via online videos and phone consultation. He was given the exact same training that all of our trainers for years have > been given. In fact, we as an organization insist that our trainers hold themselves to certain standards in o the field, so we take time to mentor them so they represent us correctly around the country. . . . . . . . . . . ."[redacted] was trained and stated he was ready to teach classes, Simply put, we Scheduled him for . . . . three consecutive classes, all of which were a complete failure. We repeatedly expressed how to - properly conduct himself and the classes, and he failed to listen. The feedback received was that his education was subpar. As a result, we stopped assigning him classes and insisted that he go back into - training by teaming up with another trainer to watch how our classes should be conducted. He refused. . - As a result, we have refused to assign any further classes until he undergoes the necessary training. National Auto Academy is one of the most respected automotive training companies in the United - "... "States. We set high standards for ourselves, our trainers, and even our students. It only takes one trainer to ruin our relationships with our manufacturers, dealers, and even the general public. We not only take education seriously, we take our training methods, and our reputation seriously as well.[redacted] can absolutely continue training, but only after he goes back into training himself. As for the - refund? Services were rendered. He not only received tangibles, but he was given three classes before . . *-* - ... he was sidelined due to performance. We will not honor a refund, but we do hope that he reconsiders going back into training.Sincerely,

This candidate paid a partial amount for the training. Our office had placement dealership lined up and the candidate denied placements. We will be happy to help this candidate if they reach out to us

hired by the dealership and then worked there for one month. National Auto Academy, doesn't guarantee jobs – however, he was hired and worked and received paychecks from the dealership. We also do not guarantee that he is going to last at a dealership. Getting hired and lasting depends upon the candidate performance. NAA makes all efforts to keep candidates happy and employed but there is only so much that we can do. [redacted] was hired and then let go and now wants his money back for the education he received? We cannot do that. He signed paperwork saying that he is not entitled to a refund. Because of NAAs efforts he was offered two jobs that he accepted and a third interview that he went on but failed to answer our calls and now we receive this c complaint in the mail. We are surprised that we even have a complaint on our desk of a candidate that was gainfully employed, Please see the highlighted parts and the dates – you will notice our efforts.

Review: I applied to a [redacted] ad for a Car Salesman position that the National Auto Academy posted. I went to an interview and the interviewee, [redacted]. [redacted], asked me if I was to finish the course when would I begin to work. I told her I would have to give my current employer 2 weeks, she opened her computer calendar and asked "So the 21'st of April? I said yes. After the interview I returned for a 3 day course to obtain my car salesman certificate. On the first day she told us that we would have to pay $699 for the course. She never mentioned this during the interview, if she did I wouldn't have returned for the "course". She also told us that we would have lifetime job placement assistance at any dealership we wanted. The next day I payed the $699, $400 of my own money and $300 borrowed from my brother, she gave me a receipt and we continued the "course". The next day I received my certificate and I had an interview with the [redacted] Manager at [redacted] and [redacted] where I took the "course". At the end of the interview I was told to keep an eye out for an email from the manager and that I would have to reply with a written example. I waited over a week for the email and didn't receive anything. During that time I called [redacted] and [redacted] at the [redacted] to find out what was the hold up and if there were any updates. There were times when I would leave a message and they would not return my call. If I did get to speak to someone they would tell me that the are waiting for the manager to get back to them, or to wait another day. Finally I told them that I wanted to be placed at [redacted] in [redacted], NJ and they set me up on an interview. Again I heard nothing. Everytime I would call them they would tell me to wait another day. One day I called them both and of course neither of them returned my calls. The next day I received a call from [redacted] and she told me that she could get me an interview at [redacted] in [redacted], NJ. During the interview, the interveiwer told me that he would contact me at the end of the week or the begining of the following week. At the end of the week I called [redacted] and asked her if there were any updates regarding the interview and she told me that they would not contact her, they would contact me. Not once did [redacted] or [redacted] tell me that I had to call back after an interview. For $699 shouldn't they be making the calls and the follow-ups? Shouldn't they set me up on an interview everyday since I got "certified", especially since I am no longer employed because they told me to give in my two weeks notice and my job has already found a replacement, instead of sitting on my as waiting to here from them? It's been 5 weeks since I got "certified" and I have been unemployed for 4 weeks! I've only been on 2 interviews in that time. They had me under the assumption that they could find me a job at any dealership in the country, and yet they haven't been able to place me. I saw a new ad on Craigslist, just like the original one I applied to, at a different location. When I called [redacted], to ask for my money back, I told her and she had no idea about it. I told her about another ad that [redacted] put up themselves, and she was clueless. I told her I wanted my money back and she said I would not get it back because I signed a contract, I started yelling and she hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I want them to pay me back the $699 I payed for the "course"

Review: On early April 2013, I replied to an ad at [redacted] in [redacted], CA for a entry level car sales position. The car sales position required a mandatory class fee that [redacted] didn't cover. The class in how to do be a car salesman was given by an instructor representing National Auto Academy. The instructor told us that the after the end of the class, we were going to be given a certificate, and with this certificate, he could take us anywhere in the country and get hired with this certificate as a car salesman in any car dealership in the country. I believed this statement, and paid for certificate; the classes were only 2 days and we were handed a booklet. However, this statement wasn't true because National Auto Academy only tries to place you for an interview with a car dealership, and there's no warranty you will get hired. If I hadn't been told by the instructor of National Auto Academy that I could get hired with this certificate anywhere in the country he would take me, I wouldn't have paid for the certificate because his statement is false.Desired Settlement: I paid for the certificate 689 dollars. I want this amount be refunded to me.

At this time, I have not been contacted by NATIONAL AUTO ACADEMY regarding complaint ID [redacted]. Also they have another office in [redacted], NV that is listed on your website [redacted]

However, I was contacted by their Pennsylvania office branch, and not the Nevada one. Hope this helps because it's the same company.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

As I argue in the first place, I was misled by the National Auto Academy representative. I was told by him that if I got the certificate in car sales, he could take me anywhere in the country, and I would get hired to be a car salesman . At the time, I have never heard about National Auto Academy, and I decided to trust what he said, and this is the reason I paid for it.

I will be glad to return National Auto Academy the booklet and the certificate I got from them.

Regards,

Review: National Auto Academy guarantees job placement for life. When I wasn't hired at the [redacted] dealer were I applied I contacted [redacted] who then directed me towards their 1 800 number. They told me they would contact me within a week with info for a new interview they told me they would set up. this was back in September. Its now December 2nd and have not heard back from them yet. I called and left voicemails and never received a call back. What also struck me strage is that when I paid [redacted], I used my credit card to pay and he used one of those squre app on his phone to take my payment??

Why wouldn't there be a formal website or system of theirs that takes the payment directly?Desired Settlement: I need my $750 back I paid for this mess. I know they dont guarantee you a job, but they do guarantee job placement for life, I have not even gotten a single phone call back.

To whom this may concern

[redacted] took our training class week of 08/12/13 and was called by a rep named [redacted] the week that he completed the training. On 08/21/13 [redacted] was called at 12.35pm to congratulate him.we didn't get him on the phone so [redacted] left him a detailed voice mail - Since then we haven't received a call from [redacted].

We have clients that are right in the area in [redacted], that are always open to hiring our candidates. Had we known that he was actively looking for a position we would have directed [redacted] to our client.

[redacted] paid for the training manual that was already given to him. Job placement assistances and the training that supports the manual is something NAA offers in addition . Having said that we cannot offer him the reimbursement but we can schedule him on an interview with our client.

The reason he wasn't sent on the interview is because we did not have a current status on file for him. I have now updated the system - our office is closed until January 2nd 2014 for the holiday but when we get back I will personally oversee that the placement reps proactively get him scheduled on interviews.

I also think that part of the problem may also be that [redacted] is calling the wrong number as our 800 number records all phone calls into our system and I do not see a record of him calling our office. For future reference our number is ###-###-#### option 2 and the person that will be helping him is [redacted]. I will assign [redacted] to [redacted] and we will do our best to help him in a timely fashion. It is unfortunate that he has been waiting this long to get us on the phone.

A simple logging on to our website and an email to [email protected] would have helped resolve this situation sooner.

Review: I was called by [redacted] for a job interview, there I met [redacted] of the NAA and was told I would have to take a class for the job. I attended the class the following day to find out there was a 699 fee midway through, I paid. I Was Told After I paid AND Passed the class I would have a sales job with [redacted] and job placement through the NAA had that not fell through. 3 months later and I'm still unemployed and e the two interviews they sent me on the dealership did not know who I was prior to me arriving and they also refused to pay NAA finders fee, leaving me out of my money and a job still. I have the hardest time contacting them and speaking to anybody, I get told I'll be called back and not called back, just terrible experience and I want my refund.Desired Settlement: Refund, I want to cut all ties the National Auto Academy hasn't done anything they promised after I payed my steep $699 fee.

Review: I was told by paying $700 I would receive training to be able to start a job at Ford dealership. After 30 days went by, I then was suppose to receive the money I've paid once I start. Once my $700 was paid, I never heard/seen trainer a day after and all the managers at Ford gave me the run around. Come to find out they never were hiring to began with(only Spanish speaking people).I've then called NAA immediately and they were so rude and told me a whole bunch of new different information. They sold false dreams and used Ford dealership as a gimmick. Not to mention they never once sent me my certification nor gave me a fake contract I so called signed.Desired Settlement: I would like my $700 back since I am still without a job and an extra $800 dollars on Suits/outfits I bought that added up to about $200. I've token a $200 loan I still have to pay back till this day and I've turned down a guarantee job because the job I THOUHT I had was promised. All the stress [redacted] and [redacted] put me thru is unheard of. Almost as if I had token there money.

To whom this may concern:

[redacted] did attend a training seminar that was held at [redacted] Ford in [redacted], NJ. You can feel free to call the Sales Manager [redacted] at [redacted] to inquire about his statements but we have checked with [redacted] ford and they said that they made no statements of wanting only Spanish speaking people.

National Auto Academy was hired by [redacted] Ford. [redacted] paid $699 for a training manual and certification. [redacted] knows that he will be reimbursed the money from the dealership after 90 days not the 30 days as he mentioned in his letter. (however in order to receive his reimbursement [redacted] would need to be working at the dealership)

[redacted] was called multiple times by us and he did not respond back to us and was not willing to work with us. He also declined placements. We are still open and willing to get him a job should he choose to interview with our clients.

National Auto Academy provides placement/recruitment services to all of our candidates. We will be happy to have [redacted] interview with our clients [redacted] Toyota, [redacted] Nissan and [redacted] CJD dealerships that are just opposite to the [redacted] Ford dealership.

Attached is the paperwork that [redacted] signed. As far as National Auto Academy is concerned services were rendered.

Should you have any questions I can be reached at ###-###-####
