When we purchased a couch and loveseat from Dufresne's on Black Friday, the CSR was helpful, pleasant, and very informative about all aspects of the product. She checked prior to us making the purchase that the item was in stock, and when it could be delivered. It was delivered on time, and we were very satisfied with the deliverymen who positioned the items in our living room. They had removed all the packaging in the truck, so no plastic or cardboard even made it into our house. Some people had mentioned damage of product, but prior to the delivery men leaving, they checked the furniture over and took pictures of the couch and loveseat. We did take the extended warranty offer, but have had no need of it so far, so I cannot comment on that at this time. Was informed if there weren't any warranty claims in the 5 year warranty period, that the amount paid could be applied against a future purchase. In fact, we had a credit from a previous warranty that was applied to this purchase.

Over many years, we have purchased items at Dufresne Furniture on Ellice Avenue Overall, we have been pleased with the service of the store sales personnel, the quality of the merchandise, delivery schedule and technical support.
However, the recent experience of a purchase of a table and four chairs at Dufresne has left us with a lasting negative impression of the company. Specifically, our concerns raised to the customer services department, and subsequently directly to the manager of customer service, about a defect in the quality of the chairs was met with absolute rejection and lack of appreciation of and for my issue. The manager made no effort to try to understand the point that I was raising. Her stock response, parroted over and over again, was that Dufresne policy states that the customer has 48 hours to return any defective item. After our phone discussion, I was left clearly with a feeling that she could not care less and caveat emptor (buyer beware).
Co-incidentally, I was in the process of returning some sample fabric to the store the next day to one of the sales consultants, Amri Ward, and I happened to mention my disturbing experience with the customer service manager. Amri, in turn, went immediately to speak with the store sales manager. Upon her return, she informed us that the store would address our concerns completely and fully to our satisfaction. (We were shocked! What a difference in attitude!)
The underlying issue for my aforementioned comment is that I really have grave concerns of dealing with Dufresne Furniture in the future. As previously stated, in our experience, the store personnel and support departments have been terrific. However, the behaviour of the customer service department and manager (not including the technical personnel) was ABYSMAL.
At the end of the day, customer service is vital and critical to the existence of any successful organization. Based on my unforgettable experience with the Customer Service Department and Manager, I could not, with any confidence and in good conscience, recommend anyone risk doing busy with Dufresne Furniture.
