National Auto Liquidation Center Reviews (1)

They did not disclose that the car I was purchasing had a salvage title and they would not produce a [redacted] when asked repeatedly for one.The purchase was in Paris, TN in August of 2012. This company does business in many towns. In 2012 I traded in my vehicle with this company for a 2010 yellow[redacted]. It was not disclosed to me that this was previously a rental vehicle nor that it had been wrecked and now had a salvage title due to frame damage. I requested a [redacted] several times and kept getting put off and was finally told that if I wanted one it would cost ME 50 dollars.I thought they were a reputable company since they appeared to do a good business and I thought we had laws in place to encourage-or even force-car dealers to be honest and upright in their business practices. As of now I am supposed to be right side up in my loan and in a good place to trade for a new car. However when I went to get a new car today, I was told by a REPUTABLE dealer that my car is only worth half of the bluebook value because of the salvage title. Therefore, I will never be right side up on my loan. I'll just have to drive the car into the ground until I pay off the loan and then my present vehicle will be worth nothing as a trade in by then. I think that National Auto Liquidation should be forced to make this right and I WILL be contacting a lawyer for advice and I WILL take this to court if necessary. They can make this right by paying off the existing loan and giving me enough money to put down on a decent car-or maybe even enough to purchase the new car outright (at least 20k). Otherwise, they can count on seeing me in court. And my lawyer will NOT settle for that small of a settlement. Desired SettlementI would like to receive back the money I have already paid on this car and for the balance of the loan to be paid off. Then I would like at least 5-10k to put down on a GOOD vehicle. I won't mind paying payments on a car that's worth what I'm paying for it. If this is unacceptable to the company and I have legal recourse, I will take this to court and it will cost legal fees and time and possibly negative publicity and maybe even a larger settlement than I'm asking for. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] EXEC. MNGRContact Phone:[redacted]Contact Email:[redacted]@rickhillnissan.comMr. & Mrs.[redacted] purchased a 2010 [redacted]rom National Auto Liquidation Center in Aug 2012 and at the time of purchase where informed of the vehicle having previous damage. The vehicle doesn't have a salvage title. NALC doesn't sell salvage title vehicle. I have attached a copy of the form signed by the[redacted]' about the previous damage on the vehicle. NALC is willing to try to trade customer out of the vehicle and put a fair market value into the trade. We are not interested in the proposed settlement asked for from the[redacted]'. NALC never intended to mislead anyone in the buying process. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have consulted several car salesmen and an attorney and they have informed me that-even though we were told the car was damaged-we should have been informed that it was structural damage AND that it had been a rental car. They charged me full price for a defective car that could not be fixed. The salesmen told me they can't even believe the bank loaned that kind of money on a car with that kind of damage and we all wonder if it was even disclosed to the bank. They knowingly sold me a car that was unreliable and possibly dangerous due to the damage. Besides, since the car is only worth half of the blue book value due to the structural damage, I owe 9k and don't have a trade-in either. I would be happy getting back the money I have already invested in this car to go toward a more reliable car. Also, how could they think I would dare trade with them after they have deceived me once? I just want my money back.Final Business Response As previously addressed in prior response, Ms.[redacted] signed a form disclosing the damage and NALC is willing to trade her out of the vehicle by giving her fair market value. This issue came about in Nov 2014 after Ms.[redacted] has been driving the vehicle since Aug 2012 with no complaints. Now the vehicle is unsafe and worth only half of the market value which she was told by a third party(another dealer) which could possibly be false. NALC will stand with our previous offer because we fill that no fraud was ever committed on our behalf.
