We read the reviews (all good) before contacting HCHIMeeting with Rob, we liked and trusted himWe agreed to his payment plan of paying in "draws" as the job progressedThings were going well until the projected completion dateAt that point, about 90% of the job had been finished but I had lost track on the draws and had paid all but a small amount of the total cost I believe that they moved on to the next job Whatever the reason, they stopped showing upThrough persistent badgering, they would come and work about one day every six weeks on averageThree months after our agreed to "No later than complete" date, they "finished" The workmanship during these last few months really dropped off We started finding problems (too many to list here) Rob visited once and sent a worker to do repairs for a day The problems were not fixed and Rob stopped responding to my communications altogether At this point, we are hiring another contractor to redo/fix the poor workmanship Based on other reviews, I think that our experience must be an aberration If you do hire High Country, I recommend that you do not agree to the payment scheme Hold onto at least 50% until the job is finished At that point, make sure you are completely satisfied Once that check clears, Rob might become very difficult to reach Good luck with your project
We couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome of engaging Rob and High Country Home improvementThis project was our first major renovationWe had Rob and team completely redo our master bathroom, guest bathroom, and Jack&Jill bathroomHis estimates (time & $) and referrals to product specialists (to find tile, pick out cabinets, etc) were accurate and reasonableRob's team of Darin and Greg were friendly, polite, and did great workThey were very good at communicating with us and gathering information along the way to ensure a successful projectI intend to use High Country Home Improvement for any future projects
We had a great experience with Rob and his crewThey saved our home remodel from a "handyman" disaster before it was too late! We had been searching for a couple months for a contractor who could take down the wall between the kitchen and living room and install a support beam in the attic according to an engineer's drawingsWe finally found High Country Home Improvement through Home Advisor and were so happy with the professional know how and, no-nonse approach to our projectThey came with a large crew and executed the plan with military precisionAnd were in and out in a day and a halfAfter it was over and we inspected the results with Rob we asked him to look at some other remodel work going on in the houseRob showed us the shoddy nature of the work and explained to us in what way it was not up to code and would never pass inspectionMortified and about 6k out of pocket we asked Rob to give us a proposal to redo the work and finish the rest of the remodelFrom the beginning Rob was very fair and always on top of the projectWe are very happy with the results and would highly recommend Rob and his crewWe look forward to doing work with them again in the future on some bathroom remodels!
Rob and his crew updated my kitchen and master bath The project came in under schedule and exceeded all of my expectationsRob was professional and I was very comfortable having him and his crew in my homeThere was an issue in the master bath as is the nature of older homesAfter trying a couple things Rob came up with an effective solution and worked out the problemMy home is beautiful after these updates and I really appreciate all Rob did I will have High Country come back when I'm ready for my other bathrooms
We contacted High Country Home Improvement through Home Advisor years ago Rob met with us, thoughtfully and thoroughly reviewed the demolition of
our 1970's bathroomMy husband and myself are good judges of character, from the get go we knew this is a man we would want to work with He provided a cost estimate quit a bit under our expectation, and also a start and end date The draw system works exceptionally well in that, discussion and possible changes are occurring along the way Rob was wonderful to work with, he stopped by daily, and he required more of his crew than we did His expectations, and desire for perfection can be un-nerving Speaking of the crew for High Country Home Improvements:::you'll not get a more honest, pleasant, likable, competent, TIMELY, courteous bunch of guys Each in their own right could own and operate their own business Our bathroom is beautiful!!! completed on time with a small overage due to rusted pipes between floor and basement ceiling
Well to say the least we have moved onto the kitchen this year total gut job, OMG it's a work of artOnce again the cost was not nearly what our neighbors have spent (yes we do share with them) and our time frame was 1/of their inconvenienceWe were steered in the right direction by Rob for cabinets, granite, etc The crew would sit in front of the house min to 8am, waiting Due to Rob and his crew our 1970's house is getting a much needed face lift And as Rob knows we have a few other projects on the horizon Wish I could upload

Rob and his crew at High Country Home Improvements were consummate professionals from day His quote was thorough, fair, and well thought out; his crew were friendly, on-time, full of good suggestions and design ideas, and ensured that we were happy with the quality of work being done When minor issues arose, they were remedied promptly and fairlyWe will absolutely be looking to hire Rob and his team again for our future home improvement needs The job recently completed in March was an extensive whole home remodel including restoring original wood floors, an extensive redesign of a master suite, complete kitchen overhaul, two bathrooms, entryway, basement work, etc
