this company has reported a collections account on my credit report that is not mine, or is a billing error. I have never received a bill or been contacted by them. I contacted them in regards to this error on there part, and they are unable to provide proof that I have received services in connection with this bill, the only thing they could come up with is that an insurance company made a payment in 2010,but nothing with my signature saying I received treatment on that date. it is required that they provide this proof, or remove this from my credit file. the reference number is [redacted]. also this account is past the statute of limitations of 6 years.Product_Or_Service: noneOrder_Number: [redacted]Account_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlementremove this account from my credit report.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] Chief of OpContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]Our office has reviewed this complaint. This should be removed within 30 days. Final Business Response NBF has responded to the consumers complaint and has removed the items on his/her credit reports. No further action is required at this time from NBF.

The company does not update the status on accounts in a timely manner despite receiving automatic monthly payments for years. The last two payments to the account were made 26 and 27APR2016. The 27APR2016 payment was made because I'd called to ask how much I still owed--again, because the balance never dropped--and was told that the remaining balance was $46.21. I paid: the monies were taken from my account the same day. The account still shows as "OPEN" and that I still carry a balance of $196 on my credit reports.Desired SettlementThe debt has been paid. I want this closed and taken off my credit report because they are now holding my credit score hostage despite the account having been resolved. I would like to clear up these debts with this company but I guess I need account/ or File numbers to pay each debt I owe. Randomly assessing collections without valid paperwork. Rude Staff and more.I received call Stating I owed money because I stole something from Ntl Business Factors. I don't Steal. Upon calling the store who put collections with their agency I found out this belonged to my 18 yr old son and the paperwork submitted was not even valid. The company stated they would call and have this taken off my record. I called back three months later and am told that they never received a call and that the case is still open. To receive a call to be accused of stealing is deformation of character and they are refusing to close the case even with the requesting company's calls for closure. Second issue: I had valid insurance I was working to get the matter resolved with the Insurance company and Medical Office directly in the amount of 315.00 I received payment and when I called to pay I was told I owed 415.00 I stated that I had valid insurance and this had nothing to do with me. I was told I could have the medical agency call back to wave fees but I would still owe them 49$ to close the account. If the matter should have never gone to collections and the medical office calls to wave fees why should I still owe them money for something that should have never gone to them in the first place. They are quick to sign people up for collections and ruin their credit and keep their credit bad even when companies are stating that information provided to them is inaccurate and retracting the collection debt. This is bad business and harassment.Desired SettlementI am asking that these matters be closed and my credit report be restored. I don't know what I can do about the deformation of character and being told that I owe money because I am stealing that just really got me that they could do that personally I think someone should shut them down. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)They only responded regarding [redacted] I find no reference to the [redacted] in which that office also contacted the Nat Bus Factors office and retracted their request and I was advised by [redacted]. that even though full payment from the insurance company was paid that I would still be held responsible for a 49$ charge even though [redacted] called and retracted all additional charges since I did have valid coverage at the time of service & should not have gone to collections. Nat Bus factors also state to [redacted] that I would still be held responsible for their service charge. If an account is sent to them in error I believe it should be the responsibility of the Office accepting the collections request to investigate fully the situation and if the allegation is inaccurate to not accept the collection account this would prevent them from having to remove additional fees or start making the reporting office for the account responsible for providing accurate information and charging them the fees. If both account have been taken care of Thank you very much. If only [redacted] has been taken off then please review [redacted] account as well. Final Business Response Our office cancelled this account(NBF acct# [redacted]) back to the client on 06-22-16. Our office also on 06-23-16, submitted a universal data form (on line submittal) to the credit bureaus to have this account deleted from their files. If the consumer sees that it has not been removed call our office at 775-267-6000 and we will resubmit.

I found out what NATIONAL BUSINESS FACTORS, INC(AKA "NBF") reporting the collection account.I requested full validation. NBF refuse to do it.On about November of 2013 I found out what NATIONAL BUSINESS FACTORS, INC(AKA "NBF") reporting the collection account # [redacted] on my personal credit report. Also, I found out from the government web sites I can request the validation of the debt pursuant the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. When I found this collection in my credit reports I sent to NBF two letters and one of them was sent VIA US Certified Mail with request to Validate the Debt and provide me the history of the debt. I sent Certified Mail and this letter has been delivered on December 5th 2013 VIA trucking number#[redacted]. I requested following:"I am writing your Company because I found out that NATIONAL BUSINESS FACTORS, INC("NBF"), put negative marks on my credit reports for [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] "Credit Bureaus".This is my Notice and Demand constitutes timely written notice in response to the above purported claim of debt. This is not the refusal to pay a debt (if this is my debt), this notice is request for Validation of the debt within 20 days. Your company should provide me the FULL Medical Report and validate the purported debt pursuant the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as stated in 15 USC 1692g. If your company can not validate these debts and provide me the copy's of my FULL Medical Report or contract with your company with my signature on it and the copy's of my contract with Hospital /Doctors report, then your company should stop Collection Activities and remove marks off from my Credit Reports." This letter was delivered on December 5th 2013. And I still don't have any Validation of Debt from the NBF. Two times I asked for a validation of the purported debt pursuant the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, but the NBF is refused to provide it. In fact, they are using deceptive means to collect a debt in violation of the FDCPA and Mail and Wire Fraud. I found this from the Government - FTC web site following information:1. An assignment and bill of sale does not give anyone the authority to collect anything without the agreement of all parties involved. 2. The account statements do not constitute current creditor records. 3. There is no evidence of any contract between NBF and the alleged debtor. 4. NBF is using misleading and deceptive practices to attempt to collect a debt, in violation of the FDCPA. 5. NBF has failed to show they have any statutory authority to force or coerce an alleged debtor to contract with them to the alleged debtor's detriment. 6. Any attempt to coerce an alleged debtor to contract to their detriment will be considered attempted extortion, and reported to local police against CEO, and owner's of the NBF and workers. Police reports are held as public record. Desired SettlementTHIS COMPANY IS IN VIOLATION OF THE FAIR DEPT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT BY THE USE OF MISLEADING REPRESENTATIONS AND UNFAIR AND DECEPTIVE PRACTICES IN THE ATTEMPTED COLLECTION OF AN ALLEGED DEBT. THIS COMPANY MUST STOP TO HARASS ME VIA REPORTING TO CREDIT REPORTING AGENSIES ([redacted], [redacted] AND [redacted]) AND MUST TO REMOVE THE COLLECTION ACCOUNT AGAINST ME FROM THE REPORTING BUREAUS. IF PFC WILL REFUSE TO DO THIS IN THE NEXT 30 DAYS THEN I WILL FILE OTHER COMPLAINTS WITH GOVERNMENT AUTHORITIES. I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I WILL SEE THE JUSTICE.All communication should be in writing.I hereby authorize the release of any financial information from this company to Revdex.com to assist in this resolution process.Business Response This consumer was sent a validation notice on 9 September 2010. The date of service on this account was 29 March 2010 and the account was assigned to NBF by the provider on 08 September 2010. The account is currently outside the four year statute of limitations for California. As such, no further collection activity will occur. In order to get this issue behind us I have submitted, on 20 May 2014, a Universal Data Form to the three credit bureaus to delete this from this consumer's reports.

I do not want these people to call me again regarding this issue, send me the paperwork. I am in the process of purchasing a house and pulled my credit report. I found this company listed as having reported money in collections. I contacted them to find out what it was from. Based on what they told me it was from summer 2013 for a medical bill. I had not recieved calls from them and they did not have 2 accurate phone numbers. The address that they had was incorrect. I spoke with [redacted] followed by [redacted] after [redacted] displayed a complete lack of professionalism. I primarily called to settle the debt after determining what it was from. I explained this to [redacted]. I asked if I paid the entire debt if they could take care of the interest (approx $15) This is when [redacted] became very rude and argumentitive. I repeatedly told her that I was looking to settle and I asked because it is something that should be asked not because I had expectation. She stated that she was going to terminate the call if I continued to be rude (I was never anything but respectful). At that point I decided that I would not pay my debt to them and that I would contact the business directly. I asked to speak with [redacted]'s supervisor to let her know that due to her employee's attitude I would settle with the business directly and their business would not recieve their portion for collecting. I was on hold for over 10 minutes. When I spoke with [redacted] I found that her lack of professionalism mirrored [redacted]'s. I knew that there was no point in continuing the call so I let her know that I would call the business directly and terminated the call. When I called the business I found out that the amount that [redacted] and [redacted] had was 30% higher not including any interest charges. I paid this to them on Nov 7, 2014.Desired SettlementI would like for them to get this removed from my credit report without delay. CALLED PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT ON DECEMBER 19, 2013 PHONE RANG THEN WENT TO BUSY SIGNAL. CONSUMER CALLED NBF ON NOVEMBER 7, 2014. CONSUMER REFUSED TO PAY ACCOUNT IN FULL. IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR A CONSUMER TO CONSIDER OUR ANALYST TO BE RUDE WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO COLLECT MONEY FROM THEM. NBF WILL CLEAR THE ACCOUNT FROM HER CREDIT WHEN WE RECEIVE PAYMENT OR VERIFICATION OF THE PAYMENT TO THE CLIENT.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I did not refuse to pay. That was the intent of the call. I explained that repeatedly. The number that they had was 130% of what was actually owed (not including interest). It is clear that their record keeping is not accurate. Therefore I do not trust that they will get proper documentation and this is not my battle when they've had inaccurate numbers for a year.

Currently the amount owed including interest is $1505.33.However, since this account is outside the statute of limitations our office will immediately submit a Universal Data form to deleted the acct from the credit bureaus.
