(HDF) flooring materialOur technician and the flooring Manufacturer’s Quality/Technical Department did not find the material to be defectiveThe Manufacturer’s response includes the following: “Our Quality/Technical Department did not find the material to be defectiveThey determined that the claim is for scratch marks on the floorPlease be aware that scratching, denting and chipping are not manufacturing defects, but are instead caused by local conditions or treatment of the floor, and are not covered by warrantyThe claim is deniedIf the consumer would like to further pursue this claim, they may hire an independent third party inspector at his or her expense to evaluate the flooringIf the independent inspector finds a manufacturing defect, the manufacturer will honor the claim and reimburse the consumer for the inspector’s feeTherefore, since there are no manufacturing defects, we cannot honor the request against this claim.” We went to the customer's location twice and inspected the marks on the floor that the customer was complaining aboutWe also felt that the damage to the floor would not be covered under the manufacturer's warrantyTherefore we stand by the manufacturer’s determination/response

In response to your last e-mail I cannot get into my other information. But I have a letter from Homelandlegend stating that floor is Moroccan Walnut HARDWOOD flooring. I was told by the company at time of purchase it was hardwood. I went into the store and told them that I only wanted hardwood. Every time I complained to the store and told them that it did not wear like hardwood they assured me it was. Letter from homeland is dated 4/**/15. Can send copy if necessary. Hope this keeps case open. Sorry I am slow but am trying my best. I just cannot believe that they are say now that its not hardwood when paperwork states it is. Thank you for your help

I RECIVED A PHONE CALL FORM [redacted] ABOUT SCRATCHES BY DINING ROOM AREA I WENT TO GO SEE THE CAUSE OF THE SCRATCHES ONLY TO FIND METAL GLIDES ON THE CHAIR LEGS. I REMOVED THEM AND REPLACED WITH FELT PADS AT NO CHARGE. RECIVED A SECOND CALL WEEKS LATER ONLY TO FIND VERY DEEP SCRATCHES IN FRONT OF THE SOFA PROPLY FROM A METAL HEEL. I REPAIRED THEM AGAIN AT NO CHARGE. RECIVED A THIRD CALL AT WITCH TIME I CALLED FOR INSPECTION FROM THE MANAFACTURE A COPY INCLOSED. THIS FLOORING IS AVINURE PLY PRODUCT NOT SOLID HARDWOOD. I STAND BY THE INSPECTION REPORT.
