Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I want to know why I was instructed to have my chimney cleaned every couple of years? If the chimney has an apron in it, which it does it NEVER needs to be cleaned and the chimney is protected by the apron and would never need to be cleaned again If Rick in fact cleaned my chimney, I am satisfied with that and would never expect anyone to work for free I was under the impression that the apron was cleaned not the chimney I accept that response from him and do not expect a refund I just want to now know why he has recommended that I continue to have the chimney cleaned, when the stove company's are telling me otherwise Sincerely, [redacted]

When this customer called me she said that she was not sure about her chimneyI said the chimney may need to be cleanedUpon arrival I confirmed that the chimney had not beed swept before the propane stove was installedI proceeded to sweep the chimney and submit a safety inspection reportIf I felt anything else may need to be done, gas plumbing or otherwise I would have referred a gas companyI drove miles to get to her addressI do not work for freeThe work was performed in good faithI am sorry she is getting erroneous information from other companies, and yes interfering even in a verbal contract by other companies is against the law.The job was done on 8-10-and this is the first time I have heard anything from herShe should have contacted me if she was upsetI always am open to communication with all my customersThank you, Rick-NCS

I have never recommended to anyone that a gas or propane stove be cleaned every 2 years. It does not benefit me nor do I have any substantial investment in recommending that a propane stove be cleaned every 2 years. I have no motivation  whatsoever in making such a statement.

The work was performed in good faith.
