National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare Reviews (3)

I am in receipt of your letter dated May 6, regarding the solicitation complaint from [redacted] (c/o [redacted] )Ms***'s membership with our organization expired in July and the recent "Past Due" mailing referenced in the complaint was an effort to reactive her membershipHer member record shows that she had made payments ($each) totaling $24.The National Committee is committed to honoring the requests we receive from members as well as non-membersIn every mailing we include details on how Individuals can contact us via our 800; and website to opt out of our membership and fundraising programsWe also offer a money-back guarantee on current-year membership dues as we want to make sure our members have a positive experience. We have updated Ms***'s member record today and coded it so that she will no longer receive future mailings (No Mail—Membership Cancellation)It is very possible she might receive another piece of mail as we pull data for mailings about 3-weeks prior to our mail datesPlease be assured that any data pulled for processing after today will exclude her from future mailings.Sincerely,Deborah J [redacted] Director of MarketingEnclosures: National Committee record (member # [redacted] ) showing No Mail code added 5/11/

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID
***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
However, I would strongly
recommend to the National Committee to Preserve Social Security & Medicare
that they cease using the words “Past Due” on their mailings used to “reactivate
membership”It is more than a bit odd
that *volunteer* membership in their organization would result in the
generation of a mailing that can easily be interpreted as an overdue bill for
services or goods provided.Regards,
