Completed an order at an online store and was taken to the magazine website saying I could chose 3 magazine subscriptions for $2 each. Was charged $81I completed an order at [redacted] on 08/07/13. It's a site that I trust so when I completed my order and was offered 3 year-long magazine subscriptions for $2 each, it seemed real. The page listed the normal prices of the magazines, but said I could have them for $2 each, $6 total. After completing my order (during which I was never taken to a price confirmation page) I received an email with an invoice for $81. $24 for [redacted], $35 for [redacted], and $22 for [redacted]. I immediately sent an email (the only way to contact them) and told them if the magazines were not $2 each as advertised, I did not want them. The next day (08/08/13) I was charged $24 for the [redacted] magazine. I was able to go online and cancel all subscriptions, but I have no idea if I will be getting a refund. Not only did they incorrectly advertise the price, they're charging over DOUBLE what it costs to subscribe directly from the magazine's website. I never would've agreed to pay those prices, I could order [redacted] online for $15/year. I only placed the order because it said $2/subscription.Desired SettlementRefund my $24, and change your shady business practices.

I ordered [redacted] magazine which that stopped publishing. Instead of refunding my money, that started sending me [redacted] magazinI contacted the company three times and the first two times got no way. the first time was on 7-31-12 and the second time was just 10-24-13. I also contacted them today (11-21-13). The first two times, my refund was promised and so far nothing. The third contact suggested that the processing time is aleast 8 weeks. As of today, I am still receiving this magazine (january 2014 issue) and I still do not have a dog. Desired SettlementI would like to get the remaining balance, prior to receiving any [redacted] magazine.

I was presented an offer of 4 mags for $2When I got the confirmation there was 3 additional mags that I did not order but was billed for.I ordered the first four magazines as a "reward" for filling out a survey. I ordered them for a friend who is an inmate at a correctional facility. I was very specific about how the State Identification (SID#) was to be part of the address. It was not included in any part of the address. I declined all other offers. However, they charged me for the offers I declined. Those charges are pending at my bank. I contacted them and warned them that the charges regarding the additional magazines were not valid. Here is my original confirmation from Magazine Customer Service. Elderly woman paid all dues and fees for magazine and decided to not renew.Organization harasses lady by phone and threatens her with "penalties"in 2011, this organization somehow gained lady's contact info from National Geographic and sold a subscription to lady who thought She was dealing with National Geographic. Lady paid all bills on time and every magazine did arrive as contract. When it came time to renew, the 90 year-old woman decided to not renew, that is when the harassing phone calls started from the organization. Today, 4/11/16 woman received 3 harassing phone calls from organization and on the last one, the caller threatened "penalties" on the woman, whatever that means. We owe this organization nothing, we want them to stop harassing this elderly woman.Desired Settlementin 2011, this organization somehow gained lady's contact info from National Geographic and sold a subscription to lady who thought She was dealing with National Geographic. This service charged my credit card for a renewal at full price for 4 magazines I originally purchased for $2.00 total for 1 year: $68.00, $38.00, $38.00 and $33.00. The renewal was not authorized. The name of the merchant billing me was very cryptic - even my bank could not tell me who it was, although they did get me a phone number. When I called, there is NO option to speak to someone until one gets about 20 minutes into an automated trail. Then I was told they would issue partial refunds, blah, blah, blah. I did obtain full refunds after insisting on speaking to a supervisor, but this is not the way to do business - or wait a minute! It IS a VERY PROFITABLE but UNETHICAL way to do business! DO NOT ACCEPT ANY "GIFT SUBSCRIPTION" FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!! The hassle is not worth the trees that were destroyed to make the paper the magazines are printed on!!!!","neg-1

Had been receiving magazine subscription for several years without incident. Prepaid multiple year subscription and subscription failed to be delivered without explanation.
