I am in total shock about this complaint Lets examine the facts.....customer from years ago came to me to buy engagement
rings....we looked and discussed different rings and decided on rings to be worn togetherper customer request I filed down ONE ring to a narrower width I took a ring and altered it per customer request This is an alteration that cannot be reversed....I also sized a ring per customer request I sent the rings home with the customer on approval no money changed hands I am speaking from memory but I think we altered and sized rings again per customer request Customer went further to consumate the deal by giving me one of their rings theyA had to trade...How much more does this transaction reflect that there is a deal in play....Customer came back and said rings did not fit properly and I suggested making them narrower or sizing Instead they chose a different ring that would require altering by removing an existing stone and resetting an oval diamond I brought in oval diamonds The lady customer did not even come in to inspect the ring after I brought in diamonds per their request When both customers did come in together they said "WE HAVE TO CANCEL ALL THIS BECAUSE THEIR KIDS WE UPSET THEY WERE GETTING MARRIED"SO THE REAL REASON THEY DON'T WANT THE RINGS IS NOT MY SERVICE OR LACK OF RESPONSE TO THEIR REQUEST BUT A PERSONAL FAMILY MATTER......THIS WASN'T JUST TAKING A ITEM OR ITEMS FROM STOCK....I ALTERED RINGS, I BROUGHT IN DIAMONDS ON APPROVAL PER THEIR REQUEST ETC I INCURED AT LEAST DOLLARS IN EXPENSES AND ALTERED SOME OF MY INVENTORY PAST THE POINT OF NO CHANGING BACK TO ORIGINAL STATE.IALSO THE RING I FILED NARROWER WAS NOT MINE BUT WAS ON CONSIGNMENT FROM ANOTHER DEALER WHICH I PAID WHEN THEY PAID ME.I WAS IN SHOCK WHEN THEY THEY SAID ANY DEAL IS OFF DUE THEIR KIDS ( FROM DIFFERENT MARRIAGES) DUE TO THEIR KIDS REQUEST.iN MY MIND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS VERY IMPORTANT AND I RELUCTANTLY AGREED TO A REFUND 1000.DOLLARS NOW AND BALANCE AT END OF SEPT THAT OFFER IS NOW OFF THE TABLE DUE TO THIS COMPLAINT THE CUSTOMER HAS A CREDIT IN MY STORE

We brought the rings back because they were to wide for [redacted]s finger.  We NEVER asked Mr. G[redacted] to get more diamonds or alter any other rings.  The only ring that he altered in the beginning was the one that he sized after I gave him a check for $5400. He told us he would make any adjustments that were necessary and not to worry about it.  The rings were just too wide for her finger and they were never going to fit.  We did not want him to make any more changes or order anything else.   We never took anything home on approval.  We picked up the rings on July 29 and returned them first thing Monday morning, July 31. Mr. G[redacted] refused to listen when we told him we did not want a big diamond.  If he ordered 4 more diamonds we were never even told that and I would have no idea why he would do that when we were not even looking for a large diamond. He called me several times that week and I told him exactly that, we did not want a large diamond. When we asked for the refund, I told him to deduct whatever he needed to for the sizing and he said it was minimal and no big deal.  He then wrote out the receipt and gave us a check for $1000.  You have a copy of the receipt.There is nothing in his store to say that there are no refunds and he promised us when he wrote that receipt that he would refund the money by Sept. 30.  We do not want to go back in to his store.  We are not interested in a store credit.  We want him to honor his word and refund my money.  My fiancee called him the end of August to plead for the money back and he told her we would receive a check by Sept. 30 and hung  up on her.  Now he is so angry that we filed this complaint that he is refusing to return the money at all.  He has no right to do that.  If he had done the right thing in the first place there would never had been a complaint filed.

I took in a watch from Mr. [redacted]  for watch battery. Due to the type of watch I was unable to do the work.  So I told Mr, [redacted] I had to send it to my watchmaker.  He approved that.  From there it turned into a perfect storm of delay service.  My watchmaker went on a short...

trip and got sick and was out for almost two weeks.  When he finally got Mr. [redacted]s watch done it was over 3 weeks  plus.  There is no question I dropped the ball on this due to circumstances out of my control   WE of course did not charge Mr. [redacted] any Money   .  Things happen in any business.  I tried to explain to Mr. [redacted] the situation.  Obviously he is upset.  I have sent him an email offering him a 50 dollar gift certificate with no expiration  date to make up for his dissatisfaction.
