National Council of Architectural Registration Boards

Review: My architect exam was originally scheduled on Friday, Dec. 27th, but wanted to reschedule for a later date, in advance. I attempted to reschedule online through my National Council of Architectural Registration Boards(NCARB), but an error kept popping up, not allowing me to reschedule. I then called the test center [redacted],and went through their automated services. I had accidentally pressed the wrong option on the phone, which CANCELLED my exam. I could not speak to an actual person until Monday morning, so I emailed NCARB immediately after the mistake notifying them about my intention to RESCHEDULE my exam, NOT CANCEL it. On Monday morning, I spoke to [redacted] regarding how to resolve the issue. After much time on hold, I finally received instructions to call NCARB and ask that they reinstate my exam before they reschedule it. I then called and emailed NCARB regarding my conversation with [redacted]. NCARB informed me that there is nothing that they can do because I cancelled it and it's company policy. I am aware of their policy, and agree - I do not want a refund, nor to transfer my $210 fee to another exam, I just wanted to reschedule it and pay my $80 rescheduling fee. NCARB still said, there's nothing they can do and that I will have to pay another $210 to schedule the same exam, rather than $80. I have evidence of communicating with NCARB and [redacted] regarding this issue, meeting their policy requirement. This is UNFAIR because I wanted to avoid an issue like this by rescheduling EARLY, but I accidentally selected the wrong option on the phone and spent time and effort trying to correct it immediately after, again following NCARB's policy. I just want to reschedule my exam and pay the rescheduling fee, not the full exam fee becuase THAT IS FAIR. Please help me resolve this issue.Desired Settlement: My desired settlement is to reschedule my Architect exam paying the required $80 rescheduling fee, not the entire exam fee of $210. Please help me resolve this issue out of fairness.
