Very bad business marketing practices and extremely rude and unprofessional staff. "Important Second Notice" to resolve your creditor issue - makes them sound as if I have a creditor issue when I do not. Staff, when the consumer calls their number, is both rude and unprofessional. Please notify the public that this is not company that does business in any real or professional manner. Deceiving the consumer with their threating marketing letter should not be allowed.

Review: National Debt Group (NDG) sent me a notice by mail "alerting" me of "High Utilization Ratios And/Or High Interest Rate Accounts," dated June **, 2013, in which it purported to have information about my consumer debt. The notice looked like an official notice requiring payment of monthly fees. The notice as written, however, is very alarming, because it mentions a high debt to limit ratio, high interest rates and a specific balance of debt. The notice, however, is a sham. It is misleading and disingenuous because in fact it is an advertisement for debt reduction services. Pretending to have information about individuals' finances to scare them into calling so that NDG can offer its services is unethical at best and constitutes an unfair trade practice. Moreover, when I called, the recorded message said all representatives were busy and asked me to leave a message, which I did not. Less than a minute after I hung up, however, someone called me from another phone number in response to my call claiming that NDG helps families pay down debt and soliciting me to sign up for their program and pay the monthly fee. I explained that in fact I have no consumer debt and I asked where they got the purported information about my finances. I am responsible and take my credit score seriously so I want to make sure there is no misinformation out there. The NDG representative had no real response and just said that sometimes their information is a little above or a little below actual amounts. I told them their information was wrong and asked to be taken off their mail and call lists immediately.Desired Settlement: NDG should be prohibited from soliciting business in this fashion. These notices are misleading and inaccurate and they do not accurately advertise NDG's services. They are a scare tactic, drawn up to look like something other than what they actually are - advertisements. Other less knowledgeable recipients may be duped into paying these bogus fees and joining the program on false pretenses. NDG is praying on people in a weakened financial state in an unscrupulous manner. This should not be tolerated and must be ended immediately.

National Debt Group of NY, LLC ("NDG") denies all of the allegations [redacted] makes. More specifically, NDG denies [redacted]'s allegation that NDG is "[preying] on people." Consumers have no contractual obligation to NDG and NDG has no contractual obligation to consumers.

As a show of good faith and with no admission of any wrong doing, NDG will notify any and all affiliated third party service providers, marketing firms, vendors and the like to cease any contact with [redacted].
