National Duct & Chimney Cleaning

Review: My dryer was not drying properly and I was referred to National Duct to clean my dryer duct. After the first duct cleaning I was still having issues with the dryer so I thought it was the dryer and purchased a new one. Upon installation and testing the dryer, the appliance store installer said the duct must still be blocked so National Duct came back again and cleaned the duct. When the dryer still didn't work, National Duct recommended I replace the entire exhaust. The duct has since been cleaned by someone else and now the new dryer works well. I paid National Duct $199x2= $398.00 + purchased a new dryer @ $784.00. What a waste of time and $, and more $ if I replaced the exhaust like they suggested. I sent 2 letters requesting a refund and I haven't received a response from National Duct.Desired Settlement: Please request National Duct send me a refund for services not completed. Thank you!

Review: We have Oil heating system .We started noticing excessive smoke from our chimney while heater is on. We decided to call National Duct and chimney cleaning services to perform cleaning of our chimney. In spite of work what we ask them to do, they started complaining about other issues which are not direct concern for their perform chimney cleaning. They are rudely talked to my wife and me. It created a mental agony for me as I was away from home. My wife was frightened with their actions. Anyhow they spent 20 min and gave us a bill for $159.After they left, wife started heater. All of sudden black dark smoke fire exposed out from all vends and spread all over our house. She immediately stopped heater and open all the windows and doors for the smoke to go out. She then called the company asked about the issue. Their reply was .Do not use heater until we buy all the parts they asked us to buy and we will come and fix it after 10 days. I can’t imagine what would have happen if these smoke contains carbon monoxide and my kid was at home during that time For three days my wife and my 5 year old kid was slept without heat on. I repeatedly call their number they take the phone and as soon as they know we are calling, they disconnect the line. Finally when I came back home on Friday, I called another agency and they cleaned all dirt and smoke generated including what National duct company created. They also said, what National company was asked us to buy is not requiredDesired Settlement: We need explanation of their actions and we want their company to be black listed
