Please find the different Invoices that were received from National which clearly indicated that I could buy my own parts. Also I have included the receipts for the main parts purchased for the head gasket repair, emails, documents showing the additional road side assistance breakdowns from the hoses that were supposed to be checked and replaced when the truck initially went in for losing antifreeze as well as the emails from the vendor in which I located the plug(s) that were broken while the truck was being repaired by NationalThe truck also started leaking oil once the repairs were done by National and the truck power system shuts the entire truck down once you turn the key off National indicated that they did not know how to fix it back the way it was when it was put back together after their repairs. (i.e. Unable to run the invertor, microwave, tv, etc because the wiring or programming was messed up by National

Semi was losing antifreeze with no visible leaks underneathTook it to National Fleet Management and they indicated it was a blown head gasket($5000.00+) that would take hours/(days) to repairThey constantly gave me the run around for weeksThey broke a plug that took 4-days to locate Went to pick up truck and noticed that now the battery light was onThey took it upon themselves to replace the alternatorThree days later the truck was losing antifreeze again (the same reason it was initially taken to the shop)Owners son said that he would send their mobile unit in Charlotte, NC to check on the truck and that they would "take care of the charges." The mobile unit found a warn out hose that they had missed in the initial repair along with the A/C expansion block missing bolts, a leak at the front valve cover that was just repaired and several coolant hoses that needed replacing that should have been discovered in the initial repairTook truck back to shop the followi

money to put into the truck and just getting started in business. This is not regular practice for us and the local Direct of Operations agreed to help the customer save some money. After disassembled there were additional items found that needed repair or replaced. This is common for a truck with close to a million miles on it. The customer continued insisting  to supply there own parts causing delays in repair time. The machine shop did find a broken internal nozzle that took us several days to track down. We exhausted all resources to find the part including all local OEM's and finally contacted the manufacturer in Michigan to get the correct part number. All local resources told us a new head was going to have to the solution. This was going to cost several thousand dollars and we went above and beyond to pursue all options. Customer was kept up to date with each challenge and what we were doing. Although the answers she received may not have been what we all want they were factual and truthful. When job was completed the customer refused to pay one dollar over the estimate to include clamps and small hoses. The charges for this repair would normally be about $7,500.00 and the customer paid NFM less than $3,000.00. We have responded to all concerns including a road call to repair a hose which is where the disputed invoice came from. This repair had nothing to do the job performed and the customer made it perfectly clear she did not want any other repairs made over and above the original estimate. While the problems and issues experienced during this process were unfortunate we believe NFM went over and above what we were obligated to the customer through a tough situation. We feel the additional road call is a repair that should be paid and is only fair that the customer pay this invoice. The threat of a Revdex.com complaint wasn't brought up until we refused to further discount this bill. We wish the customer great success moving forward.

I am rejecting this response because:  When the truck had the same failure that we initially took it to the repair shop for (losing transmission fluid and shutting down) and it was diagnosed as a blown head gasket and we spent over $5000.00 for repairs for it to have the same problem that was still under warranty (3 days after getting it out of the shop), I called and spoke to the manager who indicated that they would call their other shop in the area to look at it.  Once I advised that "I will not be paying for that because the vehicle was not repaired properly," I was advised that I did not have to worry about any charges and that they would "take care of it."  Also advised that they would provide a rental truck or whatever was necessary for them to get the problem fixed right.  There are no signatures authorizing the work that was done or the charges.
