From: [redacted] m] Sent: Thursday, July 07, 2:PMTo: [email protected]: Complaint #[redacted] ***We are responding to the complaint addressed by Nancy [redacted] We as a company feel as if we had offered commendable serviceThe consumer was advised that the product would be as close as possible in color, however due to variance in the finish amongst a newer product and the wear and tear from the older existing floor, there would be a slight difference between the two.In regards to the beveled edges, our professional installation crew had laid out all the planks, and brought to her attention that there was a slight difference between the edgesShe acknowledged that, and allowed our crew to proceedIt was then after the installation was complete, she began to voice her concerns. As a gesture of good will to the customer, we had then offered to sand and refinish both the existing floor and the new floor which we had just installedWe also offered to stain it to a color of her choice, at our expense, with no charge to the customerThis would have removed the beveled edges Unfortunately, the customer had declined, and that was the last communication we had with herWe as a company feel as though we went above and beyond to resolve her concerns, however our customer had declined.Best Regards,Galaxy Discount Carpet

From: *** *** Sent: Thursday, February 16, 1:PM To: *** Subject: Complaint *** response (Galaxy Carpet Store) In response to complaint *** This customer had purchased an area rug back in early MayShe
had signed our invoice that clearly states that the customer has business days to return an area rug for a full refundThere is no way of knowing if the damage occurred before the purchase, (which is very unlikely) so we gave her benefit of the doubt. Therefore we felt that store credit was more than fair, especially after a month had passed. We have thousands of area rugs in the store as well as countless area rugs in various catalogs that we would be more than happy to show her to find something that suits her needsShe has already used a good portion of her store credit, leaving her with a remaining credit of $272.50. This credit doesn't expire and we feel that we went above and beyond the store's return policy by giving her this credit in the first place. Please let us know if you may need further explanation

I am rejecting this response because:1. The installer did not inform me that the floor had beveled edges . 2.  I was never offered to sand the floors to match colors. I am more upset with the floor being beveled and certain planks not of the quality it should  be in matching. Even the salesman had agreed they needed to be replaced. As I mentioned in my complaint  the salesman had admitted to the fact that he wasn't aware at the time of the sale the floor was from a different company and their color and cut was different than what he thought he was selling me. Why should I  settle for a product I did not purchase
Sincerely,

laminate flooring from us. They actually only  purchased vinyl, for the entire upstairs.  The customer had made a claim the floor was damaged. We then inspected the damage, which the customer acknowledged that the rip was in fact, caused by the customer. The customer admitted that they had made a mistake in buying vynal for their entire upstairs and asked if they could switch to laminate. The consumer was advised that the laminate was a special ordered product and would take some time for shipping. At great expense to Galaxy Discount Carpet,  we had ordered the laminate flooring for the entire upstairs. The job was done in a professional manner with no issues whatsoever. The consumer stated that the vynal flooring in the kitchen and dining room was very bumpy. After the inspection, that simply is not true. They stated that the job went on for 4 months.  We have an original contract dated 9-5-15 with the initial deposit dated 9-6-15, and the final payment dated 10-26-15 which is 6 weeks and with a two week order time, and the time to re-order the new flooring which represents represents no more than 10 business days to complete the entire job, not 4 moths as the customer has stated. The consumer has  not called the store numerous times to complain, as the store is open 7 days a week, 9-8 Monday through Saturday, and 10-6 on Sundays, and there is an answering machine when we are closed.  As of this date, the Revdex.com letter is first time we have been aware of "problems" at this particular job. Given 7 months have passed since completion, we are somewhat puzzeled as to why we are recieving this letter from the Revdex.com, as we have no complaints on reccord currently pending for this customer.Galaxy Discount Carpet

told them to bring it in with the receipt if that was the case. > > All of our area rugs are approximate sizes.  There are signs all over > the store stating "Please ask a sales associate to measure for exact measurements"  as well as on the price tag itself stating, "approximately 7x10 " which they had purchased. That rug was purchased over a month prior, well after our return policy had expired, (which is only 3 Days). the rug had glitter all over the rug, as well as other marks. The price for the next size up was  a $150 more for an approximate 8x11. (Exact size is 7'10x 10'6)   > > The man who had brought back the used and stained rug was outraged > that he would have to pay the difference for the next size up. > We had then had upper management call > back the wife the next day and we had agreed to allow them to exchange > the used rug for the next size up for only $50. Which is 100 less than what we sell it for.  Since then, the customer had brought back the used rug and paid for the 50 difference for the next size up. > > Please let me know if you have any questions or need further explanation. > > > [redacted]
