I am rejecting this response because: National Home Buyers Alliance is suppose to help you achieve the American dream. They should have got it right the first time, this was the worst experience I ever had. I finally got approved to look for a home; I was so excited and they let me down. Weeks would go by then months, I was doing all of thee calling to them. I paid $4,000 I want my money back, I did not get a home. They ruined my credit they stopped cummunicating so much so that I had to start looking for homes on my own. I did not hear any thing more about them attempting to try to help me until after the Revdex.com contacted them. I want my money back because I did not get the service I paid for.

In her statement Ms. [redacted] says that NHBA promises to help
people obtain homeownership that have poor credit and also by helping with the
closing costs. She says that the application fee is $100 and you also have to
pay thousands more for the program. She...

wonders what the point of the program
is if you have to pay. She is asking for a refund of the $100 application fee
and an additional $3,000.
 
Ms. [redacted] visited our Chicago area office on April 17, 2015
to learn more about the NHBA program. At that time she met with a NHBA representative
who outlined the program benefits and explained the fees for her to purchase a
home through NHBA. She suggests in her letter that the fee wasn’t explained
upfront which is incorrect. In fact when a client first calls NHBA (###-###-####)
they hear a two minute recorded message that gives a brief overview of the
program and advises that the program fee is based upon the client’s income. So,
prior to paying the application fee Ms. [redacted] was advised at least twice that
there was a fee for the program.
 
Her second point is purely academic. The point of paying for
something is that you either can’t or don’t want to do it yourself.  You can make your own sandwich or you can go
to [redacted]. You can purchase a home on your own or you can see the assistance of
professionals.
 
NHBA allows a customer to cancel their application and
receive a refund up until the point that we have ordered (i.e. purchased) their
credit report. There is no record of Ms. [redacted] calling NHBA to cancel her application
only this complaint through the Revdex.com. A refund in this situation is not
appropriate nor is her request for the additional sum.
