National Interstate hired a qualified independent appraiser to evaluate Mr***'s Recreational VehicleThe causation report submitted by the independent appraiser indicated that Mr***'s damage was caused by long term water damage from
screws that rusted out, causing moisture to build up over time and penetrate the walls of the front cap causing separationMr***'s Policy excludes damages caused by gradual leakage of water due to improper maintenance and gradual deteriorationDue to specific exclusions in Mr***'s policy, coverage does not exist for this damage

National Interstate worked with Mr*** diligently to resolve his claim. The process involved appraising the RV appraised, and obtaining the necessary documentation and pay off from the lienholder. This was completed and a check issued (overnight) to the lienholder on September 9,
2016. The remaining claim involved locating an acceptable replacement RV for Mr***. The first replacement RV was located September 30, however was sold October 4, before Mr*** was able to see it. A second RV was then located the same day, at the same location which resulted in an RV model years newer than the policy RV. Mr*** did in fact purchase that RV. The final required documentation on the new RV purchase was received by National Interstate on October 19, and the power of attorney needed to complete the total loss of the policy RV was received on October 31, 2016. National Interstate advised Mr*** that we were issuing the check, and the final settlement checks were issued and overnighted to Mr*** on November 1,
