Review: I purchased a diamond ring from National Jewelers in National City, CA., about 8 months ago. The ring was very expensive, it was a ring that I always wanted. From the beginning I had a suspicious nature about the quality of the ring. It just did not stay sparkling most of the time. From the time I purchased the ring, I probably have been in the store to have my ring clean, probably a couple dozen times. When it was clean it did sparkle but not for long. But what happen to me today Friday May 22, 2014 at about 5:00 pm, made me really upset with the owner of the business.I noticed today that a small diamond was missing from my ring. It was missing from what it's called the bridge on the ring. I went to National Jewelers in National City, CA. As I arrived the owner greeted me. I told him the reason I was here was because I noticed that a small diamond was missing from my ring. He looked at with one of those magnifying tool that jewelers use to check the ring. This is what he told me "Oh no sweet heart, you are not missing a diamond that is the way it is". I told him no that I knew that there was a diamond. He proceed to walk to the back said just that my ring needed to be clean. It took a bit for him to return with my ring. My mom and I left the store. As I was walking to my car I looked at my ring and noticed that now I had to diamonds missing. It was the one on the other side of the ring from where the first one was. I was so upset because I new that when I took the ring it was only missing one diamond. I went to other Jewelry store which I have been there many times to get batteries for my watches. I ask the lady there if she could please look at my ring and tell if I was missing the two diamonds. Her reply was YES. I went back to National Jewelers and I was greeted by the lady manager. I told her my situation and she agreed that I was missing two diamonds. I told her that the owner had lied to me about the ring.The owner was very rood when I told him what I had done. Is my ring fake??Desired Settlement: I am going to take my ring to get appraised by a honorable jeweler to find out if my ring is worth what I paid and better yet is it real or fake. If it turns out that the owner was not truthful regarding the nature of the ring when he sold me,I will demand a full refund for the total cost for what I paid for the ring. Also if I find out that the ring is not the quality which he said it was, I will take this matter to court.PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT, NATIONAL JEWELERS

Mrs [redacted] was very happy with her ring and with all personal in the store. She brought ring every two weeks, she brought the ring here for free cleaning and we did it- until 2 weeks ago, she came to the store and talked-very unpolite, I asked her what happened. She said one diamond is missing and we said don't worry you are 100% guaranteed for fixing free of charge. Then I took the ring, I clean it then I notice the space diamond was missing on both sides, that mean the space is not touchable and noticeable. Still I told her le me send your ring to the company to see what they say and we can fix it free of charge. Then she told us, I have to go to wedding and I bring it after the wedding, nobody was talking bad with her. WE always respect the customers and she never paid $7500 fort hat ring. We are waiting for her to take care of her for free of charge.

Review: I went into this jeweler to have a battery put in my watch around the 2nd week of January 2014, the battery lasted all of about 6 hrs. I went to set time and noticed that the face of my watch was moving as I went to change the time. Before the battery was changed this did not happen. Went back into National Jewlers (plaza bonita mall in National City CA)and asked if 1)asked why the battery was not working it should have been new 2)why was the face of my watch was moving around. Long story short I was given all type of excuses as what he(the owner)thought happened to my watch. He stated that I may have dropped or it got it wet. He also blammed it on another jeweler say they messed it up! When I went to ask for my watch back he refused to give it to me. He proceeded to the back an slammed my watch on the counter!! I then demanded to my watch back!! The owner was VERY ROOD! Come to find out that there was a missing piece in the watch that National Jewlers did not put back in my watch, which is why the face was moving around!! Will never do business with jeweler again!! I highly suggest that no one else do business with them either. These kind of people don't need to be in business. They need a lesson in customer service and how to be honest and how to treat people...They suck!!!Desired Settlement: I want to make sure that NO ONE else is treated the way I was by this jeweler. Customer Service is the number one thing when doing business with the public. This person was out to rip people off and not take blame for his actions!!

This is all lies, they never paid a penny. She is my neighbor, I did it as a favor. When she came back to me after 3 weeks. I asked her let me send it to my watch maker to fix it for you with no charge. She was very rude and left. After a week her mom shows up and I was nice to them. I changed the battery again and nothing was moving, she was very happy and she said "I am sorry and I am happy." That was all a true story, but how people can be like this. To say I charge them $20.00. They never paid money. I did it as a favor.

What this person is saying is wrong! He was very rude to my daughter when she told him happened to my watch the first time and was rude to me as well until I explained why I was there to complain to him about what he did to my watch and that this watch was given me by my father before he passed away a few years ago. He did offer to send the watch out but, I didn't trust that! He never charged me for the battery, the amount I stated was the amount of what it would have cost to replace it. He did replace the battery and I did watch him do it. The face of the watch still moves a little and will take elsewhere to get fixed. This is just not what I would expect out of a jeweler! Very poor customer service and business owner! Will never do business or refer anyone them.
