I spoke with [redacted] and he was upset that we did not already know the details of
his mortgage loan and that is was paid in full. I reminded him that we are only
a third party and we can not obtain any details on anyone's account. It is each
clients responsibility to notify us immediately...
of any changes to their
mortgage. We state this on the contract when they sign up with us as well as any
letter that goes out to them. I let him know that we would close the account and
refund him back what we had debited for his bi-weekly payments. He thought I
should have already known the changes with his account, which I explained to him
again that we had no way of knowing unless he notified us. The lender will not
notify us of any changes as we have no rights to the account we are just a third
party. He told me I was wrong and we had to have known about the changes and the
account being paid in full. He tried to argue with me about how we should run
our company, and that we should have already known it was paid in full so we
wouldn't have debited his account for the bi-weekly amount he has in contract
with us, he then used some very choice words and called me "One stupid [redacted]" and then hung up on me. We refunded him back the positive balance he had
in his account with us and closed his account with us. I mailed him out a letter
confirming he had been refunded and his account was closed.
