In response to the complaint ID *** of customer *** ***, against National Marketing Associates IncI submit the original training registration contract signed and dated by *** *** on 1/15/the date of signing at *** *** on Airport WayAt this time Ms*** signed up
for a training class to be conducted on 2/27/from 9am to 1pm at the *** building board room on ** *** *** Lake Oswego OregonMs*** received study materials to be reviewed before class and also used during the classThis consisted of a page manual and a dvd with techniques to be used in class not a page binder she claimedThe registration fee for the class was not free as she claimed, and she agreed to make this payment on 2/10/before class startedI have clearly stated in the registration contract the cancellation policy which is hrsFrom the date of signing the contract, which was signed by her on 1/15/She also acknowledged receipt of materials with her signatureOn 2/10/at 4:27pm, I wrote to *** asking her if she had sent in her check for that she agreed to pay on 2/10/At this time she wrote back and said she was going to take another class on that day and will have to take my class on another daySee enclosed documentationOn 2/11/at 5:48am I said she could take the class later.(my reschedule policy is clearly stated in the registration contract) I wrote back, You still need to send in your payment as agreed promptlyIf you have any questions, please review your registration form7:00am she wrote back and asked when the next class was scheduled? 8:55am *** wrote back and said I will have to pay you in march for April class since I canceled the one coming in February( this is a violation of my cancellation policy, clearly stated in the registration contract she signed and agreed to) I said that's really nice you are getting more educationPlease make sure you payment goes out today to avoid that late fee(Written into the registration form she signed and agreed to.) 2/11/9:06am I said to ***, if you are thinking about payment in March, that's called breach of contractIf you look over your registration form you would notice the student needs to pay as agreed even if they cancel or don't show at the class they registered forYou have the option of rescheduling to another later class by payment of the rescheduling feeI would think twice about trying not to pay as agreed until March but it's your decision! Let me know please( all this is listed under section of the registration contract signed and agreed to by *** *** on 1/15/After failing to make payment as agreed on 2/10/of and after making several attempts to get her to pay as agreed, I was forced to send her to collections for breach of contract with their added cost of collectionsShe still has possession of those training materials and has not made payment for them as agreedI wonder how such a smart business woman as she claims can be so ignorant of business contracts she enters intoHow did she get a realtors license without that basic skill to honor your contracts? As you can see, contracts don't seem to mean anything to her, had I known about her integrity when I first met her I wouldn't have agreed to sell her anythingShe needs to pay her bill with the collection agency promptlyRespectfully, Thomas ** C*** President National Marketing Associates Inc

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:This business needs further investigation regarding business practices usedI have to take a note that my job was mentioned in the reply letterThis man has no authority to question my ability to conduct my business? I passed an exam before I become a real estate agent, I have a valid license for practicing my jobWhat kind of license this man has to teach, I would like to know what are his qualifications to teach classes? The only questionable thing about myself would be my trust in individuals like him. He interviewed me in a restaurant found out my weak points (his class is about removing obstacles in life) and ask me to sign an attendance form at the end of the meetingHe reassured me the meeting is free I only have to pay for the upcoming classLook, I am a single mom of an autistic child, I also have to care for my old mother that lives with me, I consider that I have to take away food from the table to pay for this scamThis man prays on people life weaknesses, and manipulates them in signing contracts for taking a hours class that can't be canceled or rescheduled? His class charge is $and the collection agency wants $ When I asked why overcharging the answer was: "because you keep reschedule and not show up to the class"In reality, I was not even given a chance to rescheduleThe collection process started a month before the next class was scheduled. His demand for money is unfounded. He needs to retract his demands for payment immediatelySincerely,*** ***

In response to complaint ID *** *** *** verses National Marketing Associates IncFor her information, I have been in business for over years with plenty of happy customersHaving taught thousands of classes in sales and personal changes I am well qualified to help people who want to succeed*** never signed an attendance form at the meetingShe signed a training registration contract, received materials for a class she wanted to takeCancellation policy is clearly printed on this training registration contract which she could have used if she had felt pressure or manipulation from meShe did not howeverWhen she informed me she wasn't going to come to class on the day she agreed and wanted to reschedule, the instructions to do so are clearly printed on the Training Registration Contract and would have included a fee sent to our officeShe did not rescheduleExtra charges for collection of the amount owed by her, were added when she breached her contract and are clearly printed on the same contract mentioned aboveI would suggest the pay the collection agency promptly
Respectfully, Thomas C*** President National Marketing Associates Inc
