National Moving Group

We recently moved from Rochester to Chicago, and having National Moving Group on our side was one of our biggest saviors along the wayMy husband had spent about two weeks dealing with another moving company who was rude, unhelpful and only concerned about getting paidFortunately our real estate agent hooked us up with he and his team, and the rest was smooth sailingWe knew with his personal attention to detail for our move we would have one less thing to worry about in our transition! Courteous, professional and friendly the guys handled our move perfectly, I would recommend them for any job big or small!

When I called National Moving Group I was led to believe that they are an actual mover when in fact they are moving brokersI called back the next week to confirm the pick up date and the customer service repthat I was dealing with was suddenly gone, and the new guy I spoke with had never heard of himI was also told my move would take 7-business days from pick up to delivery...it was in fact weeks before I received my itemsSome were broken, some were lost, some had water damage, and some boxes had roaches on themThe carrier that they had move my things, Most Valuable Movers, arrived hours late for pick up, demanded a tip and told me lie upon lie about my delivery date during the weeksDO NOT use them!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYThey brokered my move out to Mile Moving and Storage company which has nothing but terrible reviews on Google and an F rating with the Revdex.comHad I known National was brokering my move with Mile Moving Company, I would've taken my business somewhere else When my belongings arrived in Austin, several of my brand new boxes were crushed and broken openEven boxes labeled "fragile" were crushedMy vanity didn't arrive and has not arrived to this day (almost four months later) While I liked the employees personally, I felt they weren't very professionalMy washer was less than years old and it arrived broken on the insideMile would only give me per pound which was around $It took almost $to replace it After I unpacked all my belongings, I realized an entire box that contained my intimate items (bras, underwear and socks) were missing I have been going round and round with Mile Moving Company and National Moving Coto resolve this issue My vanity has still yet to arrive four months later I would never trust National again to broker my move againIt's been a terrible experience and I would've been better off moving my things myself

When I was looking for A mover from ct I went online first, I received so many phone calls I remember speaking to Anthony from National Moving he was very nice and explained everything about how the move would goThe guys showed up on time and moved my stuff it took hours but I understood moving stinksI am happy it is over withNational moving is a good company dont be hesitant because of a few bad reviews, they did a good job for me

My things arrived at the beginning of the window and were expertly unpacked They even put my glasses and plates up on shelves to make things more manageable I can't recommend National Moving Group highly enough, and would suggest their good pricing on a flat rate move There was absolutely nothing stressful or surprising about my experience - Everything was better than expected, fair, clean, easy Their service is impeccable, and they even called me after to ensure I was satisfied

I have moved multiple times inthe last years Far and aay, using this group was the worst experience ever I have pages of notes of everything that went wrong, including timeliness, movers sleeping in my house, didn't have moving tools (no dolly - had to borrow mine, knife cutter to open boxes, etc), lots of damaged goods, inability to get a weight verification on my load (know I was overcharged), lack of follow through over and over, and on and on They sound very nice when they get on the phone Once they have their payments, they are history They hooked me up with a mover in NJ (Most Valuable Movers) who were equally to blame for this disasterous service I amd still finding damages as I unpack They are untrustworthy gorillas Do not go through this broker!!!!!

The main issue that I had with this moving coordinator/shipping agent/broker is the estimate to the final price I called for an estimate and was given an estimate around the same price as other moving companies I went with this broker because of the assurances and confidence that I received from the customer service rep [redacted] gave over the first couple of phone calls I learned later that only half of what he said was the honest truth Here are some examples of what he said vs what really happened 1) [redacted] was going to be my main contact throughout the move and I would be dealing with him throughout 1a) I called [redacted] several times after gave my binding estimate fee Almost every time I called with a concern about the move or the actual movers, he transferred me to someone else due to his lack of expertise or someone else was in charge of that part of the move on two occasions I called to here from one of his co workers that he was sick or his car broke down both times it was just weird how the excuse was ready and given to me 2) Called [redacted] with an updated list of my items and my estimate went upUnderstandable, especially since this 90% accurate inventory update I say because I tried to sell items in the last week or so Also he said, I over estimated on top of the items you gave me 2a) When the movers arrived they quoted me $more the then estimate This was based on a visual estimate I declined and asked to go through weighted scale as the NMG suggested I do because the estimate was so much different from [redacted] 's estimate I have yet to see a weight scale receipt but did not want to have my items held hostage I called NMG to seek resolution on the difference of the estimates and weight scale Their response is that they did nothing wrong, their system uses average weights and I just had added $worth of weight that was unaccounted for I did add weight but the issue is that I was prepared to pay an extra XXX-XXX extra not $ The department that handles the moves said they would pass my issue to a manager but that they would not do anything anyway I was asked what I wanted just to please me Its my perception that the estimate they gave me over the phone was not as accurate as possible from their am I to assume that this company adds $to all of their estimates? and if its not the agent fault for that far of an inaccurate estimate, then the system they are using should be modified to consider increased weight of items

Whenever I need to move again, I will always first choose National Moving Group (NMG) because of their timeliness, reasonable prices and unparalleled customer serviceMy job required me to move from South Carolina to Georgia in a matter of two weeks and the only way I was only to make that successful transition happen was because of the representatives at NMGI researched other moving companies in the area for quotes, but they took days to follwith me, weren't polite, and had extremely high pricesWhen I reached out to NMG via their website, a representative called back in less than minutes to follwith my requestI spoke with Erick S from NMG, and after I told him where I was moving and my inventory list, he quoted me at half the price that other companies hadDuring that same call, Erick provided me with extensive details about the next steps in order to move forward: the three payments, who would be in charge of the different steps of my move and what I could expect on moving dayHe also was consistently available to answer all of the questions that I had throughout the processFour days before my move, Alyssa, another NMG rep called me to confirm my inventory list, give me my pidate and time information and answer my lingering questionsTwo days before my move, I spoke with the driver in charge of my move, Jeff from Source He called to confirm the time he would be coming for pick-upOn the day of move-in, Jeff called me an hour before he arrived at my apartmentHis team of five movers came on time and had everything moved out of my place in less than an hourEven though it was after their 7pm "business hours", they drove that same night to get my items to my new (3rd floor) apartment safely, with no scratches, no dents and no breaksThe gentlemen were polite, efficient and timelyAfter my move was complete, the next day, the rep from NMG called back to follon how the process wentKnowing that there was someone to walk me through this entire transition helped to relieve some of the stressors that I anticipated and for that I am truly grateful

It was a really smooth process, the costumer service and staff was polite and professionalThe guys who came to pack and load the container were really efficient and had a good attitudeDefinitely worth the cost!

National moving did such a great job with my move from Georgia to Florida I just had to write this reviewThe person who I spoke to was Brandon we set up my move in literally minutesBefore I knew it a week had gone by and my pick up date was approachingWhat a good choice I made the driver Jeff from source one was the best mover I have ever seen
