we at national muffler installed the rack & pinion on the consumers vehicle the customer did come in and we told them we would abide by the warranty. our warranty clearly reflects that the part is under warranty but the labor warranty expired more than 4 months ago however we said we would do it...

at a discounted price . I am sorry that we could not do more please note we buy our parts from parts stores. thank you

mr [redacted]    brought his vehicle to us on Thursday the 19th to get his catalytic converter put in his car at his request. national muffler did not check his car he said he already had it checked we gave him a price and we did the work when we finished the repair. we called...

him to come pick up the car he came and started complaining about it not running right I explained to him that we only did what he asked for nothing less nothing more, but as a courtesy I told him I will check it at our other shop. he left the car and we got it checked and told him what he needed . he said you should fix it for free because it was fine before its impossible with the issues we found. he did call and say fix it I told him he had to come and pay first since I did not want to argue to get paid after work was complete. he hung up and came to the shop couple hours later and said he wanted his car I told him I will pick it up and bring it back within 30 minutes he said we stole his car and called the police . I brought back the car put $10.00 worth of gas told him he could move he could take his car. first he brought the car and asked for the repairs we did not check it because it would cost him money second his receipt reflects that  third as a courtesy checked it for free, he was busy talking to listen to any thing that made sense. I provide a service for my customers unfortunately we get some that think since we touched it last we must fix everything on their car. we have a very good customer base and we are grate full to all our customers for their loyalty and support. we cant fix everyone's thinking. I will always do what my customers wants that's why I am here . if he diagnosed his car and asked me to do the specific job which I did there is nothing else that I can do for him except give him proper advice get it diagnosed right...

Review: I took my car to this location in hopes to get it repaired. I informed the person that I was not sure what was wrong with the car as it is losing acceleration and smells like rubber burning. The employee told me he think's that it was a carburetor and I would have to pay up front for it a total of $487.00 So after looking up reviews I thought that this was a reliable Auto Shop. Before I paid the money I specifically asked him to look over my car to make sure that this was in fact the issue as to why I am losing acceleration and to call if there was a different problem as I may change my mind about getting that fixed if it was a more serious problem. He marked my receipt and said on the receipt "call customer if any additional" . Now I did take my boyfriend with me as well because I know about the stereotyping for women being taking advantage while buying a vehicle or getting repairs. They said my car would be ready in just a few days, which turned into over a week. I was okay with that as long as my car was fixed. One of the employees then called me to tell me I would need an additional $200 because they can not find a new piece, so they would have to rebuild it. So at this point we are $687.00 invested. He did inform me that I had a leak which I have known about, he then went into telling me everything would be running fine as there are NO other problems wrong with it. Then today comes I go to pick up the car and long behold there was an employee doing donuts in the small compact parking lot of the business. When asked what's going on he replied, " I was making sure it was good". ok. I pay the $200 balance, grab the keys, talk to them about what needed to be done and proceed to leave. When I leave is where the real problem began. As soon as I turn onto the main street " National" and try to hit the gas to go the problem is still there. So I pull over call the shop and ask to speak to [redacted] as he was mostly handling my car. He informed me that my car may be stuck in overdrive and to shift it all the way down then back up and it should be fine. I tried it still nothing different. I call back again and he informs me that it is infact my transmition going out and that I would need $850.00 to rebuild. Where my complaint and frustration comes from is that I specifically asked to make sure that this was in fact the problem before fixing it, and the problem was never fixed and now I am out of almost $700 and still no running car! I called back and spoke to [redacted] and explained that I do have 4 children and cant afford to fix phantom problems on a car, well he was rude, had no empathy and only wanted more money explaining that I need to rebuild my transmission now. When I asked exactly what was done to the car, he replied "my carburetor was full of gunk and they cleaned it out, replaced some springs, some they could not as they are too rusted". I asked him could I get some of my money back since the problem was not fixed, and he said no, I asked could I at least get a discount on the transmission repairs and he said no. This was my first time taking any of my vehicles to this shop. Any shop that I have used in the past has ALWAYS checked to make sure that was the problem before they went into repairing it. I would like some of my money back at this point and I won't be doing business there anymore. As a mother of 4, and a college student I can not afford to be taken advantage of at all!Desired Settlement: A refund so that I can go get the CORRECT problem fixed

Review: they put a defective part on the front end of my carDesired Settlement: repair

Review: I brought my vehicle in on a Thursday (3-19-15) to get the Cadillac converter replaced. They told me it would be done the same day, it wasn't! The next four days every time I called they said it would be done either in a couple hours or by the end of the day. They finally called me Monday saying that it was done and that I could come pick it up. When I got there they asked for payment right way. I requested that someone take me out to the car to show me that it was complete and that the problem was fixed. They refused saying that they had to take payment before they would show it to me. I then paid them $700 ($200 initially and the $500 remaining balance) and went to go start the car. Still on their lot, when I tried to start the vehicle it would not stay running. I immediately went back into the shop and told them. When they came out the guy told me that it could have been like that before I brought it there. I told him that there were no other problems with the car prior to me bringing it there. He then said that the guys he had working on it could have possibly smashed a wire or something while doing the repair. He said he would keep it and look it over to see what happen. What I didnt tell them was that prior to bringing them the car in the first place I had [redacted] do a full diagnostic on it already, the only problem found was the Cadillac converter. [redacted] from national muffler called me this morning (3-24-15) and said that the car needed another $250 worth of repair that he claimed preexisted. When I explained to him that not only was the car not shutting off but I drove the vehicle with no problem straight from getting a full diagnostic right to his shop and had the paperwork to prove nothing else was wrong he refused to listen and hung up on me. When I called back they told me if I wanted them to do the work I had to come in and pay for it first. I then told them that I was coming to get the car. When I arrived, the car was gone and they refused to tell me where it was. I then called the police and explained what happened. The police called them. Afterwards the police told me that if the car wasnt back in 30minutes that they would face charges. 28minutes later they pulled up with the vehicle. When I got in it this time it stayed running but very rough, sputtering and missing. The brakes were also a lot stiffer then they were before. I took the car to another shop.Desired Settlement: I would like for National muffer to pay for whatever the cost of repair will be to get my vehicle back in proper running condition.
