Review: We ordered an engine from National Power Supply on 3-11-14. We were told by [redacted] that engine would be built and shipped in 10 days. After the 10 days was up we could not get a straight answer as to where the engine was. The first excuse provided by [redacted] was that the payment was lost. After being confronted with proof of the wire transfer, [redacted] gave various other excuses as to why the engine had not even been built yet. After two more weeks of no answers we requested a refund. Only then did [redacted] say then engine was ready to ship out. By this point we were already done and had been requsting the refund for weeks. [redacted] refunded us everything except 15% which he claims is a restocking fee. After numerous unanswered emails and voicemails we finnally got ahold of [redacted] and he agreed to refund the remainder by wire transfer within a couple days. When that day came and went we contacted [redacted] again. We were told he had been having issues with employee theft and did not have the money to send us our refund. That was over a week ago and now [redacted] and his employees will not even take our calls or return emails.Desired Settlement: All we want is the remainder of our money refunded. The total owed to us is $2220.

Response:

This customers engine, was unavoidably delayed due to build complications. The customer was notified of the issue and the NPS plan of action to follow through on the supply and shipment of the requested engine. When the customer initiated a cancellation, they were provided a refund less 15% vs. the 25% restocking fee per the terms of our invoice. The customer was made aware of all terms prior to the purchase.

I experience with this company was horrible from a business and customer service standpoint. The Sales Rep and Sales Manager were never honest with the progress of the product and the shipment and delivery was damaged on both attempts. They did not satisfy any deadlines and provided the worse customer service I have ever encountered. The most horrible experience was their lack of honesty throughout the entire project. I will never use this company or refer any referrals to this company ever.

Review: On the February 27, 2014 [redacted] purchased a re manufactured Caterpillar C9 engine from National Power Supply. National Power Supply failed to meet the it's obligation as of today, the product was not delivered on the date of delivery would have been on or about March 15, 2014. National Power Supply required payment in full before building the engine, an invoice ([redacted]) was emailed with terms of sale and [redacted]. in return on February 26, 2014 [redacted] payment of $22,380.00 (check # [redacted]). On the 27th National Power Supply cashed the check which cleared on the 28th. When the delivery date came and went I made several unanswered calls to National Power Supply. I was placed on hold by the automated answer service or receptionist with no one picking up and then when calling back no one would answer. On the 24th of March an e-mailed was sent by myself to [redacted] of National Power Supply requesting a delivery date without a reply. On the 26th [redacted] with National Power Supply called back and said they were having issue's the engine which was on the test stand and would ship that Friday. When the engine did not arrive the next week I began calling again with no success. On the 9th of April we made voice contact with National Power Supply and requested the owner call us back, this went on for a few day's. I spoke with a [redacted] who said provide a refund or engine. He discussed problems within his company and promised a refund later that day with [redacted] (Chief Accountant). After not receiving a refund from National Power Supply on the 23rd of April 2014, [redacted], Operations Manger [redacted] sent a registered letter via post office and [redacted] requesting resolution through refund of monies paid. As of this date no response, engine or funds have been provided too [redacted] from National Power Supply.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund of $22,380.00 in a cashiers check or money order ASAP.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[To assist us in bringing this [redacted]er to a close, we would like to know your view on the [redacted]er.]

Regards,

[redacted],

Thanks for still hanging in there on this, I will attach what I had sent to the Washington State Attorney General on the 9th of July 2014. The AG has given a file number of [redacted]. I went to the AG after receiving an E-mail from your office on the 8th of July stating you were unable to help. [redacted] position on this [redacted]er is a full refund of monies paid in the amount $22,380.00.

The following is the AG compliant, which will clarify [redacted] Position.

Explanation of complaint:

On February 27, 2014, [redacted] purchased a re-manufactured Caterpillar C9 engine from National Power Supply. National Power Supply failed to meet the it's obligation as of today, the product was not delivered on the date promised which was March 15, 2014 as indicated on the invoice.

National Power Supply required payment in full before building the engine, an invoice ([redacted]) was emailed with terms of sale; [redacted]. in return on February 26, 2014 [redacted] payment of $22,380.00 (check # [redacted]). On the 27th of February 2014, National Power Supply cashed the check which cleared on the 28th.

When the delivery date came and went I made several unanswered calls to National Power Supply. Once getting an answer would be placed on hold by the automated answer service or receptionist with no one picking up and no one returning messages.

On the 24th of March an e-mailed was sent by myself to [redacted] of National Power Supply requesting a delivery date.

On the 26th [redacted] with National Power Supply called back and said they were having issue's with the engine and it was on the test stand and would ship thatFriday. When the engine did not arrive the next week I began calling again with no success of reaching some one at National Power Supply.

On the 9th of April we made voice contact with National Power Supply using a cell phone requested the owner call us back, this went on for a few day's. I spoke with a [redacted] who said he would provide a refund or engine. He discussed problems within his company and promised a refund later that day with [redacted] (Chief Accountant) whom made a follow up call that day.

After not receiving a refund from National Power Supply by the 23rd of April 2014, [redacted], Operations Manger [redacted] sent a registered letter via United States Post Office and with [redacted], requesting resolution through refund of monies paid. As of this date no response to the that letter, delivery of an engine or funds have been sent to [redacted]. from National Power Supply.

On the 28th of May 2014 [redacted] filed a compliant (ID # [redacted]) with the Spokane Chapter of the Revdex.com. It has been over 30 day's for the Revdex.com with no response from the company. In speaking with the Revdex.com this week I learned they now have several similar case's pending with National Power Supply and have only been unable to contact the company once, the receptionist.

My quest for a replacement engine lead me to National Power Supply through the internet, I had some reservations at first and went to the Revdex.com web site and seen they had a A-rating also being accredited with two complaints unresolved since 2010 back in February, I took the complaints in stride seeing that this was a time period of 4 years and they must have sold a lot of engines. I was in destitute to bring trucks up that had been down for years, finding no relief locally went to them. Today the Revdex.com rates them at C- and non accredited.

National Power Supply still operates on the web and is located in your state. Any assistance or advice you can give to refund monies to [redacted]. will be greatly appreciated. We started in good faith with National Power Supply and ended with a bad taste for out of state business commerce.

Regards,

These people are frauds. Took my money knowing they couldn't make the engine I needed. I have an email from the engine builder to prove it. 7 weeks later I get the wrong engine. I own a charter fishing business and have already lost 25k and this isn't even over yet. Never EVER consider buying anything from these rotten people.

Review: I purchased an engine from National Power supply on March 25th, 2014. I was told the engine was on the floor and ready to ship. I payed by money transfer to speed up tthe proccess as I have a customer waiting for his tractor. I payed $7640.00 US funds whick included $640.00 freight to have the engine shipped ASAP. After 1 week I phoned back and the person I originally dealt with was no longer with the company { [redacted] }. I was directed to another person { [redacted] } and was told that the engine was not ready they were waiting for the timing gear on the crankshaft and expected it within 3-5 days. A week later I called to check on progress and was told parts were there and my engine was next in line to be completed and shipped out. A week after that I phoned again and was told that [redacted] was no longer there and was handwed over to [redacted]. [redacted] told me that the particular engine was not available and that the previous 2 people should not have sold me the engine. I was completely shocked that I was lied to and money taken from me for a product that does not exist on their floor. He offered to sell me another engine, but different model at the same price. I refused his offer and asked to be refunded. He told me no problem and a refund would be issued within 48 hrs. This was on May 5th. Today is May 15th and I now can not get ahold of [redacted]. Was told that the President [redacted] would be dealing directly with my issue and now told that [redacted] would deal with my concerns I have not heard from anybody and Iam extremely frustrated. My customer is not happy as we are into spring work here and he is without a tractor.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund and I will purchase an engine from somewhere else I have located an engine and need to be refunded so I can purchase another one.

Business

Response:

This is to inform you that we will be issuing a refund check to [redacted] within the next 3 weeks.

Review: Purchased a CAT C15 475HP engine on 2/6/14 and product was never delivered to Anchorage on 4/6/14 as promised after numerous inquiries by us. Wired NPS $24,754.00 on 2/6/14 per quotaion guidelines. After at least a dozen phone calls to [redacted], and unreturned phone calls, we formally cancelled the order on 04/25/14. Called (8) days in a row left messages with [redacted] and [redacted] and ZERO phone calls were returned. We want a full refund of our funds wired immediately.Desired Settlement: Full refund wired to our account that was provided to NPS immediately.

Business

Response:

This customer cancelled their order. The refund process has been initiated. Thank you.

Review: April 02, 2014 - I paid 24,658.81 can. $ for re manufactured Detroit diesel engine series 60, 12.7l to national power supply. The invoice # under they registered me is [redacted]. It was straight sell by phone. Money wire by bank.

May22, 2014- engine arrived to YRC transportation terminal in Edmonton but it was damaged during transport so it was returned

May 30th, 2014- damaged engine arrived to the builder where it supposed to be repaired. Since then I hear only excuses. I communicate by email on daily basis and for last two weeks I hear only that engine is ready and will be shipped next day. I asked for tracking number or full refund but they don't want to give me no one.

July 15th, 2014- I sent registered mail " default notice" that they have 5 days after receiving the notice to deliver the goods I paid for. No respond yetDesired Settlement: My truck is not working for close to 4 months. I'm not going to ask for lost income or apology. I want the goods I ordered to be delivered in one week or full refund. It's not possible to blame shipping company not be able do a pick up in 3 weeks. I don't know what happened with the damaged engine but they lying to me and they don't have the engine ready as they are declared in emails.

Business

Response:

[redacted],

This is to inform you that that [redacted]'s engine is in the process of shipping. He should be getting it on the 23rd of July. I understand his frustrations. But you need to know that this was a claim that was filed and not resolved until the 11th of July. I have stayed in contact with [redacted] and passed on the information that was passed on to me.

Please let me know if you have anymore questions, or if I can be of further assistance.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: On 9/25/2013, we paid National Power Supply for a completely remanufactured Detroit 60 engine. They sent us a junkyard engine that had NOT been remanufactured and claimed that their warehouse staff mixed up our engine with another order and sent us the wrong engine by mistake. The business relationships between us and our buyer, and our buyer and the end user have all been destroyed, and the long standing reputations of several companies and business professionals have been ruined because of National Power Supply's inaction in resolving this matter. The issue was discovered and presented to National Power Supply on 12/17/2013. On 1/18/2014, they finally agreed to send us what we ordered at no additional charge. Since then, there have been unexplained delays, bogus tracking numbers, and countless unreturned phone calls and emails, but still no engine. National Power Supply clearly is only out to scam customers out of their money.Desired Settlement: Since National Power Supply has been unable/unwilling to provide the product that was offered to and paid for by us, we are requesting an immediate full refund and will purchase elsewhere.

Business

Response:

This issue was resolved in March 2014. The issue was in the process of being resolved when the complain was filed. The customer purchased a Detroit

series 60 engine. Our builder partner originally

made a shipping error. National Power Supply acknowledges that mistake

having been made. In order to satisfy the customer, we informed the customer that

they could keep the used engine valued at $6,000, but that they would also

receive a remanufactured engine additionally at no extra charge. The customer

agreed to keep the used and accept the remanufactured engine. With some parts

delayed, the remanufactured engine was ultimately expedited to the customer.

The customer’s Revdex.com complaint was entered prior to delivery. We have a

confirmation that the engine was delivered & accepted satisfactorily by the customer on March 14th, 2014 ,[redacted]#: [redacted] by [redacted].

Regards,

Review: we ordered a engine giving them the complete arrangement # so they would have all the the information to send the correct engine they said no problem we have a good running take out with less than 3000 hours on it so I sent the check for around $10,000. They promised 10 days on delivery it took 34 days to arrive also was completely set up wrong. I called went round and round they wouldn't return it but they said if we had a mechanic come take parts off our old engine and swap everything to make it work they would pay for his service and parts we needed witch they haven't done yet and im not holding my breath just the gasket kit was 2000 then he came took it apart and the insides were junk this engine is completely worn out metal chunks from broken bearings inside. so we told him to put it back together to send back for refund now they wont return calls we have about $14000 tied up in this anchor now plus a truck that has been down now for 5 months costing us every day. This company needs to be shut down immediately! now after digging into it there are many ripoff reports on this company.Desired Settlement: we just want to send this junk engine back and get what we paid for it back

Business

Response:

First I am sorry it has taken time to respond! I am sorry but I am not familiar with this file. If he would like to contact me directly I would certainly look into it and see what is going on so that we can resolve this. I will be going on vcation but will have access to my computer. If he would like to email me today so that I can pull the file and see what I can do to help that would be awesome. If he can provide me with our invoice that would also be a big help.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks,

Review: Ordered Long block diesel engine 03/14/14; also paid for Core Deposit ($800.00) and round trip freight ($450.00. Have contacted company multiple times since 04/03/14 to get shipping instructions in order to return core. Have sent emails, faxes, and called offices in order to get return instructions in order to return the Core on 05/02 contacted credit card company to initiate dispute. Horrendous customer service. Bad business practice. Extremely frustrating.Desired Settlement: Would like $800.00 core charge + $225.00 (1/2 of total shipping) refunded to credit card immediately. Or, would like shipping ticket and information so that we can return the core and receive our $800.00 back

Business

Response:

Please be advised that the CORE was picked up on the 26th of June and estimated to be delivered on the 1st of July. It will take approximately 2-3 weeks for a core inspection report to be completed and any refund issued.

Review: Internet scam. They sell industrial diesel engines that they know they will not ever be shipping. [redacted] and [redacted] are the names given. In my case it was about $8,000 stolen, but I have since learned that others were victimized for more.Desired Settlement: Refund of the $7,967.64 they stole .

Review: National power supply has refused to credit our charge card for $25,000.00. We sent a wire transfer of the proceeds because they were supposedly having trouble with their credit card processing. Meanwhile they kept our transfer and also charged our card. Now they refuse to refund the card and have not returned three phone calls over the last week. I have been lied to by every person involved including [redacted] and the owner [redacted].Desired Settlement: Refund of the credit card charges and full core charge re-reimbursement.

Business

Response:

We are sorry for all of the problems that have come about with [redacted] transaction. We are currently working on refunding him his money.

As far as his CORE refund goes, I have spoke with [redacted] regarding this. We have a process with Core refunds and I explained that to him. I have begun to cc him on emails that go to the builder requesting status.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[redacted] from National Power has sent one email after several of my requests. That email went on 7/18/14. There has been zero response to the email and zero follow up by [redacted]. It has now been over five weeks since these cores have been in Nationals possession.

I am also still waiting to be refunded for the double payment that was made on these engines. My next avenue will be with the State Attorney General.

Regards,

Business

Response:

I understand [redacted]'s frustration. We are not in possession of the CORES. They go back to the builder. The builder then has to do an inspection and forward the report to us. Core refunds can not be given until I have that report. I have explained this to [redacted]. He is wanting me to supply him an email everytime I send one. Unfortunely most of those emails have information that concerns other consumers. Which I am sure they would not appreciate it being seen by disinterested parties. I will be happy to make single requests on his behalf at all times.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance!

Review: had 3306[redacted] engine rebuilt 7/12.worked it in my dump truck 3 months.it blew lots of smoke, knocked and oil was suty shortly after oil changes.took it to [redacted] dealer for dyno test and it was with in specs.5 months of working it a valve pushed thru a piston head.[redacted] took head off and found wrong type of lifters in it,but the real kicker of it all is that [redacted] top [redacted] engine mechanic of 35 years found the pistons were installed 180 degrees off [backwards]!!!nationalpowersupply was emailed the pictures of the top of the piston heads with wore marks from valves contacting them. to nationals defense,[redacted] said I should have known something was wrong, and in response to [redacted] found facts,[redacted] said that's the way them dealers are and he talked to all his builders and they all told him[ya cant put pistons in backwards on a 3306 it wont turn over.so now [redacted] says he cant help me.Desired Settlement: compensated for the 12000 dollars paid for rebuild

Business

Response:

Dear [redacted],

Thank you for the opportunity to address complaint [redacted], filed with the Revdex.com by [redacted] and received in our office 11/18/2013.

On 07/20/2012, an invoice was provided to Mr. [redacted] stating the warranty for the requested Complete Remand 3306B engine offered on his purchase is a 6 month part warranty. As per our policy, when Mr. [redacted] contacted us to report difficulties, we requested the engine be evaluated by a licensed mechanic to provide a list of any faulty parts. We advised Mr. [redacted] that we would be happy to provide replacement parts to the mechanic to resolve his concerns. Mr. [redacted] provided us with the contact information for [redacted] CAT on 10/30/2012. On 10/30/2012, we contacted [redacted] at [redacted] CAT. [redacted] advised he would look into it and contact us back. On 10/31/2012, we again contacted [redacted] and spoke with [redacted] who also stated they would look into it and contact us back. We did not receive a response from either mechanic. We made several additional requests to Mr. [redacted] to have the mechanic contact us in order to proceed in resolving his concern. Mr. [redacted] did email a picture of the tops of the damaged pistons and we requested contact with the mechanic to gain additional information, as we were unable to determine cause or exact damage via the pictures provided. On 12/13/2012, we were able to make contact with [redacted] at [redacted] CAT who advised that the engine had been dyno tested and was approximately 4lbs lower than recommended on power. [redacted] stated that it had not been determined why this was the case. We requested a list of parts to send in order to correct the problem, [redacted] stated that they did not know what would correct the problem. Mr. [redacted] did not advise us that the wrong lifters had been installed until his most recent email to the Revdex.com dated 10/25/2013. Mr. [redacted]’s complaint that pistons had been installed backwards were never substantiated and it is the understanding of our own mechanics and builders that had this occurred, the engine could not have run for 5 months. Mr. [redacted] and the mechanics at [redacted] CAT did not provide any information needed to determine cause and necessary resolution for their claim. Unfortunately, all requests for parts numbers, requested replacement parts, or detailed information of the malfunction, were not answered. Without receiving the requested information, we were regrettably unable to send the replacement parts covered by the expressed warranty.

National Power Supply appreciates the opportunity to address this concern. Should you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at ###-###-####. We look forward to receiving confirmation that complaint [redacted] has been resolved and closed.

Kind Regards,

Regards,

this is not about me or [redacted].no one from anywhere said they were going to call you back about parts. I had found a rebuild in 1 day after I was told the condition of the engine in question. again this was due to someones carelessness,or incompetence! to install the wrong lifters and pistons in backwards is inexcuseable. not to admit fault ,is just as bad! I am not here to bash nationalpowersupply, but if you cant reimburse me the 12000 dollars ,then I want potential custumers to know this is your history with sum customers. whats it worth to ya?compensate me/or lose a potential customer, or two or dozen? there probably are smarter, less trusting, truckers, individuals, business men out there smarter than I , who mite look up your credit rating or complaint history.
