Thank you for your letter dated April 20th related to the use of one of our RAM Mount ProductsThe customer has stated that our part number RAM-B-174-UN7U has caused damage to his cell phone and is asking National Products to cover the cost
of his repairs
He further explains that our advertising suggests that this particular part is advertised as suitable for use on motorcycles
In fact we do suggest that the part is suitable for many different applications including motorcycles
We do however include a copy of the RAM X-Grip User Guide with each part we ship. I have included a copy of the User Guide for your reviewThe user guide suggest that in high vibration applications, tethering your device is recommendedProper placement of the device in the mount is also pointed out in picturesAnd finally we state that RAM does not cover the cost of a device if it is lost while using the X-Grip
We also include a copy of a RAM Mount brochure with each product we shipI have included a copy for your reviewYou will notice our RAM Products Disclaimer also covers the issue of lost or damaged mounting systems
I am hopeful this will satisfy the customer's concerns

Re: Complaint ID *** Thank you for your letter dated July 27th related to a customer purchase and dissatisfaction with one of our Aqua Box ProductsThe customer is correct that we state the product to be Weatherproof on our website, but understand we do not state the product to be Water Proof
If the part is assembled correctly there would be no reason the product would leak enough to cause damage to the electronics being held inside one of our Aqua BoxesIn addition, our warranty policy is provided with each product we ship and does not include the device being help by one of our mountsOur customer service department generally offers a replacement mount which we are certainly willing to offer, but we cannot offer any compensation for damaged devices being help by one of our productsThere are just too many variables involved as it relates to the proper assembly, mounting and general use of our mountsLet me know if I can provide any further answersSincerely,

I filed a complaint and received a response on 8-5. I was given 10 days to respond. On the 9th day 8/14, the complaint was closed. How in the world am I supposed to respond if you close it? Tomorrow is the 10th day and I should have been able to respond today.
 
The Ram Mount response did not explain their false and mis-leading advertising. See attached. It is the insert that comes with the product. As stated by Ram, the unit is intended to protect my device from harsh weather, including rain. I submerged the unit later to find the leak and it's leaking at the latch, which was designed and installed by Ram. I used it for one day in the rain. They lied, the unit leaked and my device was ruined.
