[redacted] filed a complaint with the Revdex.com alleging a contractdispute with the' National Registry of EMTsFollowing is a table of each of Ms [redacted] 'sallegations and the NREMT's responses: MS [redacted] ’s Allegations:I took an advanced EMT course in The NREMT’s Responses: NREMT records indicate that Ms [redacted] took an AEMT (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician) course at [redacted] Community College that she completed in December of 2011, making the course valid to December 31, NREMT policy provides that all course work is valid for two yearsMS [redacted] ’s Allegations: I had two years to complete the written exam which I did complete and pass in December The NREMT’s Responses: NREMT policy requires that both the cognitive (computer) and psychomotor (practical) exams be passed within months of each other, and all within the two-year window of course validityPassing either the cognitive or psychomotor exam starts a one-year countdown during which time the other exam must also be successfully completedMs [redacted] waited twenty months after completing her course in December before she applied and/or tested as follows:Applied 8/12/but failed to show up for the test.Applied to test 9/23/but failed the exam.Applied to test 11/20/but failed the exam.Applied to test 12/26/and was successful.Course expired five days later on 12/31/MS [redacted] ’s Allegations: I passed th [sic] psychomotor exam shortly after the course completion in MayThe NREMT’s Responses: NREMT records indicate passed her psychomotor (practical) exam on May 6, This was May and was based on her SECOND course completion of an AEMT course taken at [redacted] Community CollegeThis is a wholly separate course from her original AEMT course taken at [redacted] Community College, completed December 2011, expired December 31, (See Attachment A)MS [redacted] ’s Allegations: Once I had passed the written exam I was informed that I needed to re-take the psychomotor exam because it expires after one yearThe NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT agrees that Ms [redacted] passed our computer-based exam on December 26, 2013, just five days before her course work at [redacted] Community College, valid for two years, would expire (on December 31, 2013)Ms [redacted] never passed a practical (psychomotor) exam based on her first December course despite having been given a two-month extension by the NREMT in which to do soMS [redacted] ’s Allegations: I received an extension to find an exam near by but the closest exam was hours away from where I lived and $ I receive benefits from the GI Bill so I didn’t have $or hours to be able to take the exam The NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT granted Ms [redacted] a two-month extension to February to pass her psychomotor exam on her first course that expired December 31, Psychomotor exams are scheduled by the Program Directors of the schools the applicants attend in the States in which applicants live(Psychomotor exams can also be scheduled by hospitals or EMS agencies but these are more likely to be restricted to only their employees.) Thus, the Program Director of [redacted] Community College in the State of [redacted] was in charge of scheduling a psychomotor exam for that courseOur records indicate that Ms [redacted] 's Program Director at [redacted] Community College did schedule TWO practical exams, one on February 24, in [redacted] and one on March 31, in [redacted] but Ms [redacted] failed to schedule herself for either of those practical examinationsIn fact, Ms [redacted] waited from December to August (months after completing the course and months before the course work expired) to take her first computer exam, which she failedFurther, with the two-month extension the NREMT granted her, she still did not complete the required practicalThe NREMT has no oversight of the individual, autonomous schools' scheduling of psychomotor exams via their Program DirectorsWe did, however, allow Ms [redacted] a two-month extension to locate and complete a test and believe that action was a distinct advantage for Ms [redacted] since we typically do not allow applicants such extensionFurther, the NREMT is not responsible for the cost of the exam as that also is handled by the Program Director sponsoring the examMS [redacted] ’s Allegations: The second option was to re-take the entire AEMT course over againI ended up taking and paying for the entire AEMT course over even though I had already passed it with a the year beforeThe NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT agrees that taking the AEMT course again was a viable option for Ms [redacted] given that she was unable to complete both the cognitive (computer) and psychomotor (practical) exams on unexpired courses within the required timeframe, even with a two-month extensionWe disagree, however, with Ms [redacted] 's statement that she completed the course the year beforeIn fact, Ms [redacted] completed her first AEMT course in December She completed her second AEMT course in May 2014, nearly three and a half years apart.MS [redacted] ’s Allegations: I took the psychomotor exam in May of The NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT agrees that Ms [redacted] took and passed the psychomotor exam on May 6, This is a result of Ms [redacted] taking a new AEMT course at [redacted] Community College that she completed in May 2014, making it valid to May of (two years per policy)MS [redacted] ’s Allegations: They told me I could combine my passing psychomotor exam and my passing written exam to the be [sic] certified if also submitted a $money orderI did that with a written letter requesting that the two passing and current tests be combinedThe NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT disagrees with Ms [redacted] 's statementWe would not allow a test from one course to be combined with a test from another course if one or both of those tests were based on an expired course which was the case with Ms [redacted] 's December courseFurther, that $money order was returned, uncashed to Ms [redacted] by the NREMTMS [redacted] ’s Allegations: NREMT attempted to contact me twice while I was a wok [sic] and when I would call back I'd be put on hold for over an hour before I eventually hung upThe NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT did attempt to call Ms [redacted] twice, once on July 10, and again on July 24, We have no record of a response from MsDaily to either voice mail message that we leftMs [redacted] indicates that she called our office on an unknown date and was placed on hold for over an hourOur Call Center calls are monitored and recordedAny call that was on hold for that length of time would have been noted as such in our call logWe would ask that Ms [redacted] provide us with the exact date and time of her call so that we can review our call log for a specific date to determine if there was any malfunction in our call systemWe had no complaints from Ms [redacted] or from any other caller that indicated that calls were being placed on hold for inordinate amounts of timeMS [redacted] ’s Allegations: On June 1st, 2015, I received a letter from the NREMT informing me that my request has been deniedNearly a year after I had sent itThe NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT left two voice mail messages in July asking Ms [redacted] to return our calls in order to notify her of the denial of her request, based on NREMT policy and guidelines, Ms [redacted] allowed nearly a year to pass without contacting the NREMTOur written policy clearly posted on our web site indicates that all aspects of certification rest solely with the applicantOne would expect that if certification was critical to Ms [redacted] , she would have been extremely persistent in contacting the NREMTHer own statement indicates that she did nothing for "nearly a year"MS [redacted] ’s Allegations: Furthermore, I don't understand how I have taken, paid for, and passed two AEMT courses, two AEMT psychomotor exams, and one Written AEMT exam and still not get a certification when I was told over the phone by a NREMT representative that I could combine the two if I mailed in $and a written requestThe NREMT’s Responses: Per NREMT policy, both exams (computer and practical) must be passed with twelve months of each other based on unexpired course workMs [redacted] 's first AEMT course was 12/Ms [redacted] passed the computer exam 12/26/Ms [redacted] 's coursework expired five days later on 12/31/ MsDaily completed a second course 5/MsDaily passed the practical exam 5/6/14; however, her successful computer exam of 12/26/was no longer valid as the course work on which it was based expired 12/31/This practical exam was valid for months and recently expired on 5/6/ MsDaily must now complete both exams again, within months of each other and before her second course work expires on 5/20/Ms [redacted] remains a fully certified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) with the NREMT, due to expire or be recertified on or before 3/31/Ms [redacted] is eligible for AEMT certification if she successfully completes both exams within twelve months of each other and before her current course work expires on 5/20/We have handled Ms [redacted] 's account in a way identical to all similarly situated applicants seeking AEMT level certification, with the exception of having given Ms [redacted] an additional two month extension to complete her practical exam on her first AEMT course workMs [redacted] failed to complete the practical exam within that extended time frameHe course work expired December 31, and as a result, the computer exam that she passed on 12/26/was invalid as the course work underlying it had expiredShe finally completed her practical exam May 6, 2014, a full months after her first course work expired and months after the extension we gave her to February 28, also expiredAs noted previously, the NREMT does not determine the cost nor the frequency of practical examinations being offered as those are the responsibility of each individual Program DirectorIt is important for the Revdex.com to note that the NREMT's role is to certify skill competency of all emergency medical services professionalsOur certification assures both the Revdex.com and the general public that all EMS personnel have demonstrated full proficiency in the required skills that are no older than months and are based on valid course work, thus the requirement that both the computer exam and the practical exam be successfully completed within months of each other based on a valid courseTo deviate from this requirement would jeopardize the value of our certification and, more importantly, would put the public at risk of treatment by EMS professionals whose skills are not up-to-dateFor these reasons, the NREMT respectfully requests that the Revdex.com agree with the NREMT that Ms [redacted] has not met the testing requirements and is not entitled to AEMT certification until such time as she fully meets all testing requirements within the mandated twelve-month period and on a course that is valid (less than two years old)Sincerely, [redacted] ***###-###-#### | [redacted]

Mr* *** was contacted personally by our CCO, Jeremy M*** last weekDuring the conversation, MrM*** apologized for the lack of communication and response from our recertification team and explained that was the first year of implementing several new procedures and processes and that unfortunately, Mr* ***’s application was lost as it was processed through our systemThese new procedures were implemented for the security of our registrants to ensure all monies received were being handled and processed by our bank and not NREMT personnelHe also informed Mr* *** that with the issues experienced this year with the new processes in place NREMT plans to take this information and improve in preparation for next recertification season to ensure these types of things don’t continue to happenAlong with the apology, MrM*** has authorized a full refund of the fees paid by Mr* *** as well as offering to send him a few items from our store catalog as a sign of good gesture and MrM*** gave out his direct cell phone number should Mr* *** experience any issues in the futureBy the end of the conversation, Mr* *** seemed acceptable to the resolution and we have deemed the issue now closed and corrected on our end

This firm represents the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians("NREMT") with respect to the above-referenced ComplaintIn response thereto, attached isNREMT's Criminal Conviction Policy which was followed with respect to this applicantPleasecontact me if you have any questions or
need additional irlformation.Very truly yours,Carlile P*** * *** LLPAlan KV***

MrM*** stated to me that by the end of the day Friday May 5th, he would email me a full explanation as to what happened, along with finding out why my emails to recertification were ignored and providing me with an explanation behind that also. He did say my fees were going to be refunded but there was never any mention of "items from the store catalog" being sent. It is now May 15th and I have not received any emails with any explanations, nor have I received a refund of my fees. NREMT continues it's new tradition of lying

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me

I have still not been contacted by the business nor has the problem been rectified. in regards to this matter, yet their response to the Revdex.com states that the problem has been rectified and that I have been apologized to.  The registry still shows my certification as expired, I have not been contacted, nor have I received anything.  Furthermore, the business' response does not answer why my emails were ignored, what the reason for the mishandling of my application was when they had no issue immediately cashing the payment, and what is being done to rectify it.  None of my emails or phone calls were responded to.  Had they responded to at least one of them properly, then maybe they would've caught this "mistake" a very long time ago and it would have been fixed by now.  My employment has been jeopardized by the business' actions and when the Revdex.com is able to receive a response from them, it is nothing but lies.

[redacted] filed a complaint with the Revdex.com alleging a contractdispute with the' National Registry of EMTs. Following is a table of each of Ms. [redacted]'sallegations and the NREMT's responses: MS. [redacted]’s Allegations:I took an advanced EMT course in 2012 The NREMT’s...

Responses: NREMT records indicate that Ms. [redacted] took an AEMT (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician) course at [redacted] Community College that she completed in December of 2011, making the course valid to December 31, 2013. NREMT policy provides that all course work is valid for two years. MS. [redacted]’s Allegations: I had two years to complete the written exam which I did complete and pass in December 2013. The NREMT’s Responses: NREMT policy requires that both the cognitive (computer) and psychomotor (practical) exams be passed within 12 months of each other, and all within the two-year window of course validity. Passing either the cognitive or psychomotor exam starts a one-year countdown during which time the other exam must also be successfully completed. Ms. [redacted] waited twenty months after completing her course in December 2011 before she applied and/or tested as follows:Applied 8/12/2013 but failed to show up for the test.Applied to test 9/23/2013 but failed the exam.Applied to test 11/20/2013 but failed the exam.Applied to test 12/26/2013 and was successful.Course expired five days later on 12/31/13. MS. [redacted]’s Allegations:  I passed th [sic] psychomotor exam shortly after the course completion in May. The NREMT’s Responses: NREMT records indicate passed her psychomotor (practical) exam on May 6, 2014.  This was May 2014 and was based on her SECOND course completion of an AEMT course taken at [redacted] Community College. This is a wholly separate course from her original AEMT course taken at [redacted] Community College, completed December 2011, expired December 31, 2013. (See Attachment A)MS. [redacted]’s Allegations: Once I had passed the written exam I was informed that I needed to re-take the psychomotor exam because it expires after one year. The NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT agrees that Ms. [redacted] passed our computer-based exam on December 26, 2013, just five days before her course work at [redacted] Community College, valid for two years, would expire (on December 31, 2013). Ms. [redacted] never passed a practical (psychomotor) exam based on her first December 2011 course despite having been given a two-month extension by the NREMT in which to do so. MS. [redacted]’s Allegations: I received an extension to find an exam near by but the closest exam was 12 hours away from where I lived and $300.  I receive benefits from the GI Bill so I didn’t have $300 or 12 hours to be able to take the exam The NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT granted Ms. [redacted] a two-month extension to February 2014 to pass her psychomotor exam on her first course that expired December 31, 2013. Psychomotor exams are scheduled by the Program Directors of the schools the applicants attend in the States in which applicants live. (Psychomotor exams can also be scheduled by hospitals or EMS agencies but these are more likely to be restricted to only their employees.) Thus, the Program Director of [redacted] Community College in the State of [redacted] was in charge of scheduling a psychomotor exam for that course. Our records indicate that Ms. [redacted]'s Program Director at [redacted] Community College did schedule TWO practical exams, one on February 24, 2012 in [redacted] and one on March 31, 2012 in [redacted] but Ms. [redacted] failed to schedule herself for either of those practical examinations. In fact, Ms. [redacted] waited from December 2011 to August 2013 (20 months after completing the course and 4 months before the course work expired) to take her first computer exam, which she failed. Further, with the two-month extension the NREMT granted her, she still did not complete the required practical. The NREMT has no oversight of the individual, autonomous schools' scheduling of psychomotor exams via their Program Directors. We did, however, allow Ms. [redacted] a two-month extension to locate and complete a test and believe that action was a distinct advantage for Ms. [redacted] since we typically do not allow applicants such extension. Further, the NREMT is not responsible for the cost of the exam as that also is handled by the Program Director sponsoring the exam. MS. [redacted]’s Allegations: The second option was to re-take the entire AEMT course over again. I ended up taking and paying for the entire AEMT course over even though I had already passed it with a 3.0 the year before. The NREMT’s Responses: The NREMT agrees that taking the AEMT course again was a viable option for Ms. [redacted] given that she was unable to complete both the cognitive (computer) and psychomotor (practical) exams on unexpired courses within the required timeframe, even with a two-month extension. We disagree, however, with Ms. [redacted]'s statement that she completed the course the year before. In fact, Ms. [redacted] completed her first AEMT course in December 2011. She completed her second AEMT course in May 2014, nearly three and a half years apart.MS. [redacted]’s Allegations: I took the psychomotor exam in May of 2014. The NREMT’s Responses:  The NREMT agrees that Ms. [redacted] took and passed the psychomotor exam on May 6, 2014. This is a result of Ms. [redacted] taking a new AEMT course at [redacted] Community College that she completed in May 2014, making it valid to May of 2016 (two years per policy). MS. [redacted]’s Allegations: They told me I could combine my passing psychomotor exam and my passing written exam to the be [sic] certified if also submitted a $30 money order. I did that with a written letter requesting that the two passing and current tests be combined. The NREMT’s Responses:  The NREMT disagrees with Ms. [redacted]'s statement. We would not allow a test from one course to be combined with a test from another course if one or both of those tests were based on an expired course which was the case with Ms. [redacted]'s December 2011 course. Further, that $30 money order was returned, uncashed to Ms. [redacted] by the NREMT. MS. [redacted]’s Allegations: NREMT attempted to contact me twice while I was a wok [sic] and when I would call back I'd be put on hold for over an hour before I eventually hung up. The NREMT’s Responses:   The NREMT did attempt to call Ms. [redacted] twice, once on July 10, 2014 and again on July 24, 2014. We have no record of a response from Ms. Daily to either voice mail message that we left.
