I am being billed again for a wrist splint that I already paid for. The company will not respond to multiple phone calls over the course of months.
On 5/16/18, I received a wrist splint at my doctor's office. I received an invoice for this splint for $35.35 from National Respiratory Care. I paid this bill via check on 11/14/18. Several months later, I began to receive additional bills from National Respiratory Care for the same wrist splint, with additional late charges. I have called the business numerous times and left messages, but they will not return any of my phone calls to clarify why I am being billed again for the same splint.
I would like the outstanding charges to be removed from my account. Or for the business to provide an explanation as to why I am being billed twice.
Good Afternoon, After review of the file it appears that the customer did receive only one splint that was billed to insurance on 6/13/18 and customer did pay coinsurance. The paperwork was resubmitted to NRC by unknown reason on 12/18/18 and subsequently billed again as it was not identified as a duplicate and I have adjusted the account accordingly so no balance is due. I apologize that you did not get a call back timely and have since met with the billing representative responsible for those calls and set goals and expectations for response to future inquiries.
Thank You and I hope I have resolved this issue for you please call me directly at XXX-XXX-XXXX should you need further assistance.
I recently received a bill for a date over a year in the past despite never going to the business for services
I received a bill from this business for services on 06/23/2017 which I received in December of 2018, there is no description of services, I was not at that location on that date, and I have never even been to the business's location for services.
The business should remove the bill from my account and should delete any data that they've collected on me.
6/23/17 patient was seen at Northwest Hospital ER department, at the time of discharge he was given a heelbo pad and signed that he received it. The item was billed to his Cigna plan and applied to his deductible so he was billed. We recently re-billed old claims that had not previously been paid is why the customer got another invoice. Mr. paid this claim on 1/2/19 and his account is now paid in full. Thank you for allowing us to respond to this issue and I'm sorry that the customer did not understand why he was getting a bill that was over a year old.
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
