I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***
It is clear from this reply that my interests and satisfaction are of no concern to Mr***A reply to me personally prior to this escalation would have sufficedIt’s been months since I’ve requested action be taken to fix my hot water heater as it is clearly damaged, even if that damage is only cosmeticI purchased this tank brand new at a premium price, not as a minimum requirement to meet codeAfter the initial install, I contacted Mr*** a week later with concerns regarding the install: piping that was not secured to the wall, missing radiator cover caps, thermostat placement causing heat to cycle erratically, and the damaged water heater coverOnce Mr*** came back, he tacked up some of the insecure piping, and gave me some clips to secure any more areas I felt were not complete Mr*** agreed to move the thermostat so the heat didn’t cycle continuously, though I still have not been able to use my newly installed basement zone due to this, and will likely need to move the thermostat myself so that I can use my heat this winterHe agreed to change the covering on the tank, stating that it wasn’t sufficiently damaged to warrant a replacement, yet my tank still has a broken casing and a dent and potential crack in the insulating Styrofoam structureThe tank functions correctly, though it’s unknown if it is running optimally due to the breach of integrity to the outer shellNo amount of testing (thermal imagery, thermal readings etc) was done to determine this issue is inconsequential, just a brief visual inspection of the outside.Even if in fact there is no chance of malfunction, the six-inch cracked opening where the covering is split is a constant reminder of the broken tank I paid full price for and the lack of service I am to expect from my installerI have a lifetime warranty on the tank, which is great in theory, but if the installer won’t show up for months, what do I do? If this is the case, and I am stuck with a faulty/defective/or otherwise not in new condition product, I should not be paying full price for itI'd like the covering fixed and the thermostat moved to resolve this issue
Regards,
