I would highly recommend NSA to anyone that is thinking about hurricane impact windows. Sid [redacted] supervised the job - he was professional and skilled. I hired NSA after I had a horrendous experience with another contractor. NSA went out of their way to clean up. The work was exact and makes the whole house look much better. Rick [redacted] runs a top notch company. You can't go wrong with their expertise.
I signed a contract in April 2015 for impact windows and shutters to cover our sliding doors. The date promised for installation came and went and finally in August, the job was complete or so I thought until an insurance inspector came and told me that the windows were not impact. The owner of NSA on the phone told me that they were but offered to come by and look. One tap on the window and it was obvious that they were not impact. Weeks later, the new windows arrived and were installed. I was not present for this installation but my adult son was present.
In comparing what I originally contracted for and what I received the second go around were not one in the same. I called the window manufacturer directly and he was able to look at both orders from NSA. The first clearly not impact, the second impact but not what I paid for. I discussed at length the actually framing for the windows I ordered, and they too were different. So now round three. I called the owner and shared with him that the windows were not correct and that they needed replaced, yet again. I mentioned the casing and he said both window grades are the same and that all they needed to do was replace the glass. I uploaded photos of what I ordered along with the specs from the manufacturer. They were not the same and I had to battle to get everything right, yet again. This was a futile exercise that wasted many months of my time, missed days at work for installation, and research; when ordered correctly without deceit, NSA would surely have not incurred the replacement and installation costs three times.
