I have had a terrible experience with National Signing Source most of this year Earlier in the year (say, January through March) NSS was having weekly ads on Craigslist under Legal / Paralegal advertising their services to coordinate real estate closings and signings As it turns out, Georgia is really an attorney state for these services so I am surprised that the Georgia State Bar did not take action to have them cease and desist their ads and activities I paid for various training sessions, a background check, equipment, insurance and supplies and then got no signing business out of it all so it all seemed like a fraud and a big waste of money The principals of the business are very unresponsive and generally do not return phone calls or e-mails What a completely negative experience

On September 14, 2016, I was enrolled as a paid participant ( $charged to my credit card) with National Signing Source I was to attend their live webinar and then an online module Upon completion of the course, I was to pass a certification exam which would place me on a list of over lenders as a Certified National Signing Specialist (also certified in TRID upon passing additional questions) I completed the course within required time limits, however, I was never provided access to the certification exam I called the office repeatedly, speaking to Belinda Belinda repeatedly told me she was emailing instructors each time I called I also emailed both instructors several times each, Robert and Daniel I emailed their helpdesk and their orders addresses There has been no response and no access to the certification exam Last, I emailed them that I would be seeking legal remedies I want my $back for defrauding me

Well... I am already a Notary and saw the notification that they were looking for notaries in my area. Interesting that I have not heard anything, nor could Smart Recruiters give any information.

On September 14, 2016, I was enrolled as a paid participant ( $179.00 charged to my credit card) with National Signing Source. I was to attend their live webinar and then an online module. Upon completion of the course, I was to pass a certification exam which would place me on a list of over 100 lenders as a Certified National Signing Specialist (also certified in TRID upon passing 20 additional questions).

I completed the course within required time limits, however, I was never provided access to the certification exam. I called the office repeatedly, speaking to Belinda. Belinda repeatedly told me she was emailing instructors each time I called. I also emailed both instructors several times each, Robert and Daniel. I emailed their helpdesk and their orders addresses. There has been no response and no access to the certification exam. Last, I emailed them that I would be seeking legal remedies. I want my $179.00 back for defrauding me.

Review: I am in the process of relocating from NY to Washington State and was looking for a part-time job to help me while I search for full-time work. I found National Signing Source and spoke to one of their representatives, [redacted], on or about May 21, 2015 to find out more information. [redacted] told me that in order to become a signing agent, I would need to take a training class, pass a test, and have a background check run. Once approved, the company would put me on the list of the biggest signing companies in my area and I would begin to receive signing jobs. She also told me that signing agents can either print their own documents or have someone else print them, but if don't print the documents to be signed, I would only receive $85 per signing (on average) rather than $125 (on average). Either way, if I was looking to do 2 or 3 signings a day, even at $85 each, I would have so many opportunities I would need to turn down work. Since I wouldn't immediately have access to a printer, I considered the non-printing option.I thought about the prospect over the weekend and called her on Monday May 25th to confirm the information she told me and to sign up for the training class Tuesday night, the 26th. At that point, she charged my American Express card $252.25. The online training started late due to technical issues, but we were never notified what the problem was. Once it started, the trainer made it very clear that I could not become a signing agent unless I had a printer. Since that was in direct opposition to what I was told and because it would be difficult to obtain one under my circumstances, I was told to send him an e-mail requesting a refund. I did that night. Now I'm told that they already ran the background check and they would need to listen to tapes of my conversations with [redacted] to see if I was mislead. I spoke with their general counsel on June 8th and was told she'd get back to me the next day. Despite numerous calls and e-mails, there's no response and no refund.Desired Settlement: Due to their misleading and deceptive business practices, I want a complete refund of the $252.25. If they had cancelled the background check when I requested it, it never would have been run. I do not accept that as an excuse.

Review: I signed up for their services on 9/2, paid with American Express card. Charges were $488.33. 15 minutes after completing the process, they contacted me and said transaction was entered erroneously, and asked permission to charge my AmEx again. I agreed. Got my AmEx statement in late Sept, saw 2 charges from NSS (the second was for $437.53) and nothing had been refunded. Since then, I have emailed [redacted] several times, spoken with a supervisor named [redacted], spoke with customer service multiple times (useless), and spoken to a [redacted] (who said she was a VP of something) who hung up on me.Desired Settlement: At this point my relationship with NSS is completely fractured, I cannot envision any sort of business relationship moving forward. They have continually blamed the problem on their credit card service, Authorize.net. In addition, no one has contacted me at any point along the way in my efforts to become a Notary. I have completed a background check, taken, completed, and passed their in-house training program, returned a 'code of conduct' agreement, and completed Rhode Island state paperwork. No response from NSS after any of this. I would like to be refunded for BOTH AmEx charges ($437.53 and $488.33).
