National Student Loans US Reviews (10)

thank you all for the reviews I almost gave into this scam. They were very convincing and sounded legit. I quickly gave them my card information and was ready to pay and start monthly payments. Before signing the papers online through email I researched and came upon these reviews. I really wanted to believe them. I quickly reported my card stolen before they had the chance to charge me.

Review: I contacted the National Student Loan company to help me pay off my student loans. They wrote up a contract for me to start payment through their loan program. They charged me $347.50 for their services on November 25th and said they had started the process. At the beginning of December I received a letter from my employer saying my paycheck had been garnished for student loans. I immediately called [redacted], my contact person for this company, and told him what had happened and that I could not afford to pay the garnishments on my paycheck and their fees. He told me that since I had been garnished that I could not pay back loans under the original agreement and I would have to be on a different program and my fees would be recalculated and that he would call me back. This was December 8th. On December 16th I tried to contact him via phone and left a message. I also sent him an email telling him I hadn't heard from him on the matter and asked was there anything else he needed. Still no response. On December 25 the second amount of $347.50 was taken out even though there had been no new contract for a new agreement as he said there would have to be due to my wage garnishment. I sent an email stating I wanted to cancel my account and I would like at least a partial refund. Again no response. I called back today, January 5th and got [redacted] and he said they had cancelled my account but I could not receive a refund because the 5 day grace period had passed for my original contract. My problem is that the original contract was null and void due to my garnishment and the fact that they never contacted my student loan companies to consolidate anything. I know this because I have called all 3 and they told me no one else had contacted them on my behalf and therefore they made the agreements with me. I am now paying my student loans back on my loan and am asking your help in receiving a full or partial refund in this matter from Nationalstudentloans.us.Desired Settlement: I would like a full or partial refund for services not rendered.

Review: I paid for the Lower my student loan payment services, a total of $589.00. National Student Loans was not able to get my student loan payment lowered to the payment they quoted me. Nor were they able to finish the paperwork process. Every time I called in for a status update, they said they were still working on the application. After 3 months I asked for refund because nothing was being worked on. [redacted] ~ Head of Accounting agreed to the full refund, and drug that process out for months so that I would have an issue getting a charge back from my bank. Every time I called about the refund, [redacted] said the check was in the mail, wait 7 to 10 business days (repeatedly). Finally I demanded Head of Compliance, [redacted], who gave me his sworn word I would receive a refund asap!!! This never happened. I have never seen a more unprofessional company that is this desperate for a buck, that they would send a client thru all of this. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION. AFTER A WHILE THEY STOP TAKING MY CALLS, THAT IS HOW UNPROFESSIONAL & SMALL THEY ARE. THE SAME 3 OR 4 PEOPLE ANSWER ALL THE CALLS, PROBABLY OUT SOME APARTMENT SOMEWHERE. MY EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I would like the $589 paid for services that did not take place. I was promised a full refund, and not given one.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Hello,The complaint listed above has not been resolved. I have never received a refund check from this company. I had received excuse after excuse that they sent it to the wrong address & that they would do ach deposit. However, nothing ever arrived. So this complaint has not been resolved as they stated. I would not be taking the time to pursue this matter if I had been refunded. Who ever they sent the check to was not me, nor cashed by me, nor has a refund been returned electronically. All they have to do is reverse the charges electronically and be done with this. Please help me get my refund back. Nationalstudentloans.us would not take the time to resolve this matter with me by phone. Instead I was given rude treatment for trying to resolve this problem.Thank you,[redacted]

Review: This company promised to contact my current student loan handlers and put my loans in forbearnce while they process my consolidation and cutting down my monthly payments. My current student loans are with Nelnet and Great Lakes... They have no record of being contacted by this company to put my loans in forbearance. they are still contacting me to pay. This company is also requiring me to pay them roughly $692 in the meantime. how can I pay them and pay my loans at the same time... I contacted them because I need help... They did agree to break up the payments but in the meantime I would not need to pay my loans with Great lakes or Nelnet just pay them... When I found out my loans forbearance was not handled I reached out to the person over at this company to put a hold on my payments until they did what they said they did not they took my money anyways...this has caused me an hardship I need my money back and now noone can seem to help me!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I want my money back and I want to cancel the agreement with them because they did not do what they said they would do!

Review: My complaint is started services with national student loans in regards to consolidating my student loan. The process has been started by [redacted], I paid my first payment of $231and it was processed by [redacted]. I received a email from [redacted] Loans my lender that was weird so I contacted [redacted] loans and the rep told me that I actually didn't need the services of the National student loans due to the fact that I was already on the income base program. So I called national student loans to cancel my services on June 18 and they were supposed to process a refund and Mail my refund back to me. I waited a few days and didn't receive anything in the mail I called and did a few follow-ups and was having a hard time getting contact with the account manager [redacted] I called on June 23 and spoke to [redacted] around 515 and I explained to him that I wanted to cancel services and he tried to talk me out of it and then when I said I don't want to continue with the services, he got upset and laughed and then when I asked for a manager he put me on hold and never returned on the phone. So on June 24 I was able to get a hold of him and he was supposed to have process a refund that this time was supposed to be refunded back to my debit card I continue to wait and check my account every day and nothing has been refunded so I contacted them again on June 29 and on June 30 and was told that my refund was actually process on the 18th and then was told that my refund was not process at all and that they will process it on the day of June 30. I'm really frustrated due to the fact that if I'm not using their services and there's 100% guarantee your money back. I don't understand why it is taking so long for me to get my refund and I don't understand what the holdup is and every time I've called I always get the runaround and rudeness. I'm concerned that I won't get a refund and that I will end up having to go thru small claims court and I just want others to know that it's not ok how they are doing businessDesired Settlement: All I want is my refund and a straightforward answer to when I will receive it.

Review: I signed up with this company on December 28th after being told that they would be able to enroll me in a student loan forgiveness program. I was told that I would need to complete forbearance paperwork (of which I did while I was on the phone with them). I was told that my payment for the current company would not be deducted (as I stressed that it is an automatic payment and I cannot afford to pay two payments). National Student Loans deducted their fee of $297.50 from my account on December 29th and my current company (American Education Services) deducted their fee of $300 on January 4th. I contacted National Student loans via email on January 5th and received an email back from [redacted] informing me I needed to speak with [redacted]. I received a call from [redacted] later that day. While speaking with [redacted], I informed her that I would like a refund of the fee they charged as they lied about me not being billed by my current company as the loan should have been in forbearance. She informed me that I would need to speak with [redacted] (the person who I initially spoke with) in order to cancel and get a refund. I spoke with him and he told me that they have cancelled my "account" and that they will refund me my money. I then asked when would I receive my refund and he put me on hold for about 5 minutes and then tells me that I will not be receiving a refund after all (of which contradicts what is written in their contract as they were not able to deliver the services promised). I would like to file a complaint as I believe that this is a fraudulent company and more over I would like for the to refund me the money owed to me.Desired Settlement: I would like for the fee that I paid to this company to be refunded back to me as they lied to get my money.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I did not reach out to this company on December 28th. They contacted me (of which my phone records can prove this). I was told and reassured that my loans would be put into default so that I would not be making a payment. I then paid National Student Loans their fee and was charged my monthly amount by the original loan holder. I emailed [redacted] as well as [redacted] (both representatives of National Student Loans) January 5th requesting that the contract be cancelled and my money refunded to me. I then received a call from [redacted] (I can provide phone records) as well as spoke with [redacted] (as [redacted] transferred me to him). [redacted] informed me that I would receive a refund and then retracted his statement. It was not until I reached out to you all as well as sending two follow-up emails (of which no response was provided and I am willing to provide), did I receive my refund. I would still like to move forward with this company as I do believe that they are fraudulent.

Review: I used this company to consolidate my student. I was told that my taxes weren't going to be intercepted if I used them. They were in fact intercepted and it payed off all of my loan.. I called the company to find out what was going. To happen because I no longer had a loan or needed there services if I didn't have a loan to pay into.. Two of there agents told me they would check into the matter and get back to me none of that happened.. One of them said they would refund my fees that didn't happen as well.. Now they will not answer my calls or emails.. I just want this matter resolved..Desired Settlement: I just want my refund for them not completing their services..

I heard National Student Loans program on the radio and I thought this would be a great way to start my new year off by settling my student loan debts. I was told they could help me lower my student loan payment and I could even have my loans forgiven because I work in public service. I was told in order to get started they would put my loans in forbearance and my loan servicers would be contacted regarding the requested consolidation. I was also told that if I joined I would need to submit a payment of $348.00. I told the representative, that I would truly consider, but wasn't able to make payment until February. He assured me that he would collect my payment information, but wouldn't charge my account until the date I requested. Funds were taken out of my account shortly after our phone conversation on 1-22-16, which put my account in the negative. I tried to truly buy into the program, but to my dismay, another incident cause me to doubt the services especially, since the 2nd payment of $347.50 was drafted from my account on 3-3-16.

I called to get a receipt of payments made on 3-6-16. I was put on hold several time and finally the representative came on the line and told me that National Student Loan US services couldn't provide me with a receipt. I was told, "I could use my bank statement, as my receipt." I really started to worry especially, since I had already made a $695.50 payment thus far and no services were provided.

I called back on 3-20-16 to asked the NSL representative about the forbearance because I was still receiving calls by my loan servicers. The representative mentioned, that according to my files with NSL, my loans were in forbearance. She said that I would continue to received calls because the loan consolidation wasn't complete. She mentioned my paperwork was still being processed. I told the representative at that time I wanted to be refunded and I wanted to cancel my services with National Student Loans US. She placed me on hold and came back to the line requesting my login information from Federal Student Aid at which time, I told her I would follow-up in writing. I truly feel deceived by NSL.

As of this date, I feel that I am a victim of fraud and deception. My trust has been broken and I feel I am a victim of identity theft. I requested a cancellation with NSL because it was open fraudulently. I asked the amount of $695.50 to be refunded because services were never rendered.

I would like to request a fraud alert on this organization so that incidents of deception may be prevented in the near future.

Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter,

Review: This company raised red flags for me initailly, and the process has continually gotten worse. For example the first person had me sign first and then said someone would discuss what I was signing. Then when I called for this individual, I was told he was no longer an employee, then the following week I was told he had stepped out of the office. Next, they said the misplaced my paperwork. Another time, they had records of the competly wrong information. I am perfectly fine with paying for services received, but not for something Im not getting in return. . I attempted to cancel services and terminate the agreement, however no one responded. I left several voicemails (which I can verify with phone records), and sent two emails, which I can also verify. Eventually, I had [redacted] stop payment. I am not seeking to get previously deducted money, I simply do not want further debits or anymore dealings with this organization.Desired Settlement: From this point, I would no longer like to be involved with this company. It saddens me that they prey on indiviudalys who are alrady deep in debt. I would like for the Revdex.com to mediate matters and ensure termination of any affiliation between myself and National Student Loans.

I consulted with National student loans about five months ago, Ive been charged then over charged for services that they never provided. The manager refused to answer any of my email and respond to any of my calls and voice messages. I feel robbed by this company, Do not use their "services".
