National Telecommunications Reviews (9)

Review: This company sent a fax that says it is just to verify the information for a government directory and they are just confirming that they have the correct information and if there are any updates to update it on the form. Once the get your form back you get a bill for the directory but never is there a directory. They refuse to cancel the services and they refuse to allow you to see the so called directory. They continue to harass and send invoices that are for fraudulent services.Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of all money they have collected from us. Totaling $300.00

Review: National Telecommunications sent us multiple faxes during the month of November 2012. The fax is set up to look like it is asking to confirm the Government rate of the hotel. It seems that someone here on property must have filled out the form and returned it thinking they were confirming a rate with a Government business. Not long after I started receiving invoices for a rate listing in a directory, I contacted them back and told them nobody here on property could authorize any new charges and that we were not interested in being advertised in a directory. The company National Telecommunications countered by sending a copy of the form they received, I again told them that I did not fill it out and that even if I had I did not have the ability to authorize new charges to the Hotel. Only the corporate office is able to authorize new charges. They continued to send invoices that I continued to dispute. On one occasion an employee named [redacted] called the hotel and said if we did not pay the invoice they would go online and post that we have bedbugs on all the Hotel Comment pages like TripAdvisor. [redacted] also has called and used foul language with employees at the front desk when they have answered the phone when she called. We did not and could not authorize charges for a rate directory, we have not received any business from this directory so no benefits have been received by the hotel. We just ask that the invoices are waived and that employees of the company National Telecommunications stop calling the hotel to use profane language with the employees that answer the phones.Desired Settlement: Waive all charges and stop communications with our business.

Review: We received a invoice form this company claiming that I had authorized us to be included in the 2013 Federal Discount Lodging Directory. A man by the name of [redacted] has called and made threats and like the other complaints that I have read about this company his tone and language is offensive. The form that he sent back to us has three noticeable different handwriting. I as the ** for this hotel is not authorized to make those decisions. There for I would never sign should a agreement. [redacted], continues to send invoices that we will NOT pay. I did not agree to this and from what I have read about this company on the Revdex.com site, its all to familiar.Desired Settlement: I would like for this company and [redacted] to stop contacting us and erase any and all charges. I would like also a letter reflecting that The [redacted] does not owe NATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATIONS for anything.

Review: National Telecommunications (NT) sent a form to the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel (the Hotel) asking the Hotel to confirm the Hotel's rates for 2012. The Hotel did so. The letter stated:

“If the rates are correct, you can see to it that your hotel is included in the 2012 annual directory by checking box 1 and filling in your name, title, and signature on the application/verification form. If your rates have changed, you can have your updated rates included in the directory by checking box 2 and entering the new rates charged.”

Nowhere did the letter state that the Hotel would be charged, or would have to pay to be included in the directory. Now NT is demanding that the Hotel pay $660, calculated as $50 per month for a year, plus a $60 late fee, for the alleged listing. This appears to be a variation on the classic "directory scam" whereby a business asks for confirmation of contact information or pricing or some other business detail, and then tries to claim that the confirmation forms a contract to publish a listing and charge the victim business.Desired Settlement: Stop contacting me or anyone at the Hotel, stop perpetrating this scam.

Review: Company is trying to collect for advertising which was solicited in a deceptive nature and not approved by an authorized manager. Company will not respond with proof of actual directory...only sent a faxed page. Communication from this business has been in a harassing nature.Desired Settlement: I want all contact via mail, phone, and fax to stop.

Review: National Telecommunications has sent multiple invoices requesting payment for a Discount Hotel Directory. This was never authorized by our company. When I call there is never anyone there but it goes directly to a voicemail to a man named [redacted]. I left a message asking him to call me back and he left me a rude and harassing voicemail. I looked this company up online and there have been various complaints about it. This is a scam. They send a fax asking for the government rates of the company to get a signature from an employee so they know who to send this fake bill too. The bill is most likely paid by companies who overlook it, as the bill looks legitimate at first. Luckily, I have done the bills for long enough here that I immediately recognized it was unfamiliar. The voicemail was threatening stating that unless I was "demoted" then I am the manager who agreed to pay this bill and I better send payment. I hope that this organization is closed down for fraudulency so that companies are not paying out money to this fake advertisement.Desired Settlement: I want them to no longer call or send invoices to this hotel.

Review: This is a clear scam, they start by faxing the hotel a form saying they are trying to verify the government/military rates for the property. At first glance everything looks like they are just trying to verify the rates but if you look further into it the wording is misleading. After returning the fax they begin sending you bills for a directory which they claim to have added the hotel to. This is what happened with my hotel, when I received the first invoice I called the company to inform them that I had not approved any charges to be made to the hotel. The person I spoke with was very rude. I continued to receive invoices even after contacting them multiple times letting them know I was not going to pay them. They responded by calling the hotel and harassing the front desk agents. One time they called and told the desk agent the hotel had bad management that did not pay its bills. This person used bad language and told the desk agent if we did not pay they would go online and say the hotel had Bed Bugs. This continued throughout the year as the invoices continued to be sent, finally they totaled 660.00 for 50.00 a month and a late fee of 60.00. Toward the end of the year they started to threaten legal action would be taken if I did not pay. I was not to worried after a little research it was obvious they were not operating with ethical business practices. They followed up the threat by sending me a collections notice from what looked like a legal firm. When I called the number a women answered saying another company name and when I sounded unsure about who I contacted she asked who I was looking for. She transferred me when I told her but all I received was a voice mail. I sent a traditional dispute letter asking them the prove the validity of the debt and never heard back from them after. This is an obvious scam, they will yell, swear and threaten you to try to collect but in the end they are not operating ethically so there is nothing they can actually do.Desired Settlement: I would like National Telecommunications to stop contacting the hotel right away and to send a form to the hotel address stating we do not owe them for any service provided (which no service was ever provided).

Review: This is a "bait and switch" scam.... [redacted] misrepresents this company as if it is an extension of the US Government Housing Service for Federal Housing which is ordinarily a free service... I missed the fine print and he indeed hook us.... once we found out it was a scam I cancelled the service and did the honorable thing and paid for the period of time from entering the agreement to the time I cancelled.... This should have been over fair and square at that point... Lesson learned on my part... But he continued to bill me long after the service was cancelled... At this point I consider it harassment and will now not only begin to lodge complaints, but will enter litigation if National Communications & Mr. [redacted] does not cease and desist contacting me or my company in any shape or form.Desired Settlement: This situation is over, I got ripped off, I paid for the time I was responsible for and this is over.... National Communications & Mr. [redacted] must cease and desist contacting me or my company in any shape or form to end this.

Review: National Telecommunications faxed over a piece of paper that is hard to read and basically asks you to verify information regarding your company as if you already have a listing with them, which we do not, and ask you to verify your Government Rate. Our Directory of Sales did that and faxed the information back. She does not have the authority to purchase advertising, nor did she know that is what they were trying to get her to do, she thought she was verifying information. We have never been in this directory, we never received a proof or a copy of the directory and do not believe that we were ever in said directory. I have seen the complaints online and this company needs to be stopped.Desired Settlement: Do not contact this hotel unless you are sending us a zero balance receipt.
