trying to sound arrogant but it can be proven).In response to your individual complaints:1)I setup 2 appointments for estimates with you because I ran the original bid roughly 1 1/2 months prior to you calling me back and letting me know that you accepted. At that point I had forgotten about your job (I run close to 10 estimates a week, times that by 1 1/2 months) and wanted to look at it again to refresh my memory.2)I wrote down every area we discussed on my notebook and entered them onto the estimate sheet. The areas you spoke about were never mentioned and were not on the estimate.3)I told you we were booked out 5 weeks at the estimate (we are always 4-6 weeks out). You did tell me which days were best for you. When we got around to scheduling your job I asked if Monday and Tuesday would work, if not we could have changed it the days you requested. You told it was not a big deal.4)I don't recall this part but will not deny it except for the "messy and destructive". We lay plastic down in all work areas and sweep/vacuum upon completion. We also wipe down baseboard or anything else that our mud may get on. By default this is a messy trade, but we go above and beyond to keep things clean.5) ...or 1)?... We did not drag mud into your house. If you wanted us to use the garage instead we would have. You mentioned it in the form of a question and I was confident not to make your house dirty by coming in the front door.6) ... or 2)?... Again we use plastic on all of our jobs. Sometimes mud does get onto baseboard and carpet but we ALWAYS clean it up afterwards. My helper [redacted] did admit to bumping the wood trim with the ladder, however there was no damage.8) ...or 4)?... When we mix up mud we do it outside in the grass because that is the most logical place to do so. Sometimes there will be some clumps of mud that get over looked or left behind. Drywall mud is water based and will go away by the next rain or lawn cut. The area that we mix up our mud in is roughly 4' x 4' so if anything was dirty it would be roughly that size. The areas that you pointed our were not discussed and I told you it was too late in the day to start on a new area and we would have to set that portion up as another job. This is the point that you became angry and irrational. I had [redacted] clean up and we left because you were cussing at me and that is not acceptable. I told you at that we would not complete the job because you were cussing at me and being irate. I called your husband at this point and filled him in on your behavior. He left me with the impression that he understood and would pay me 50% of the job because we did 50% of the work.I am on the phone a lot because we are busy but I still get the work done (not rushed) and finish jobs. When someone cusses at me or one of my employees I will pack up and leave every time. We charge hourly rates so whether I'm at your house working or someone else's house I get paid the same. Because of this it doesn't make much sense for me to leave your job for another.I do not know what to say about the police department phone call.With all of this being said, I hope the best for your project.
