Nations Renovations Reviews (3)

My house was damaged in the hail storm of April 2016, Nations Renovations did complete the roof portion of the work to be done, but did not complete fence work, siding work, gutter work and have been paid for it by the insurance company They got tired of my situation after multiple questions of when the work was going to be completed They backed out of the deal without returning the money so I can complete the work that needs to be done Do not use these scrupulous contractors, I'm an year old woman, widowed and feel I have been completely taken advantage of Hopefully this post will help somebody else to avoid such a situation I will be contacting a lawyer to resolve this situation

This company came out and replaced our roof after the April hailstormThey hired a subcontractor to do the workThat sub hired another sub who got his crew off Craig's ListTheir work was awful so my husband, a former roofer, told them to get off our property and called the guy at Nations Renovations that was in charge of our repairs and complainedThey left the trailer with the old shingles sitting in our yard and we got caught up in a dispute between the 1st and 2nd subs over wages Next day, the first sub came out to do the workIt was the same as the day beforeThird day, Nations Renovations sent one of their 'crews' out to do itThe entire crew consisted of two Mexicans who didn't speak EnglishI don't speak Spanish so I found myself playing charades in the front yard trying to talk to themThey put a non-removable cover over our dryer vent so it can't be cleaned out properly, didn't use the proper ice and water shield and nailed through our A/C freon line which cost us $I was very clear that I wanted a check for that and not have it taken off the billThey refused and said they took it off the billThey also owed us $1,in referral fees that should have been taken off the billWhen I got the bill, all it said was $7,No explanation or anythingI called and spoke to their President and asked what that was forHe said that's what the insurance said they'd payI asked for an itemized bill and was told that was proprietary information and they weren't going to give it to mei replied that, what he paid for it was proprietary but what he's charging me is noton the 5th call, he said they had turned it over to their attorney to handleSo I asked for the attorney's contact information and, surprise, that was proprietary information tooTurns out, there was no attorneyI got a notice from the county that they put a lien on my property for $8,I consulted a reputable general contractor and was told the reason they wouldn't give me a statement is because they didn't keep records of what they used so they can'tNow my attorney says we'll have to sue them to get the lien lifted

I worked with Justin at Nations Renovations and he was so helpfulMy father needed a new roof after all the storms here in Plano and everything went so smoothlyThe crew did it in a couple days and Justin helped every step of the wayWe will recommend them from now on and I am currently trying to get my company to work with them too
