Nations Residential Service Reviews (%countItem)

Replace my GE oven. Bottom Line. Fair Market Value of what it is worth. We pay this homeowners companies all this $ for nothing.
I had a technician that came out to our house. My husband and our have National home warranty. The address of the business is 2649 Tarna drive, Dallas, Tx. 75229. This is our third time dealing with this company, but I am finish to switch because they don't like replacing or fixing anything. Our first time, we had problems with our plumbing, second it was our refrigerator, and last it was our built in oven that is by GE. This is the complaint that I am taking about. The technician came out to our house by National Home Warranty Company and did a three minute check, trying to find our model number. He informed my husband that if the oven was not fixable to repair that they would replace it for the value. Well, that is how much real professional companies would operate. If they can not fix it, they would replace it for the fair market value. This oven is old, so quite natural, you probably would not see the model number, so they should just replace it with another GE brand. I am reporting this company because they are unprofessional. The supervisor hung up in my face because she did not like the fact that I told her that it should not have been denied especially when their technician did not do a good check, nor did he pull out the oven to try and see the model number. They also don't want to replace it because it is a built in the wall oven and they know that they would have to spend some money and that is what this company don't want to do. I am advising that no one goes with this home warranty called NATION HOME WARRANTY. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR DEDUCTIBLES EVERY TIME, BUT DENIED CLAIMS ALL DAY BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO FIX THE PROBLEM. ***, what the *** are we paying all that money, and deductibles every time someone come out, and then it get denied because they don't want to have to pay. That is not right.

Desired Outcome

I am asking for this company to be fair and stop trying to quote us a bogus page in what you call a contract when your technician guy did not do a better job at trying to get to the resolution. My husband and I should not be trying to look up model numbers and called GE company trying to find our 70 year old stove, when this company should just replace it if they no longer make parts for that model. Really, this company should be doing the research with GE, not us. This is why we are paying this company all of this money, for nothing. Next, I am going to try and reach out to a higher supervisor, because the other was unprofessional that called me back on 06/23/2020 around 2:21pm. I wish the CEO of this company would reach out to me. I WILL BE LEAVING THIS COMPANY AND ADVISING ANYONE THAT JUST PURCHASE A HOUSE, NOT TO GO WITH NATION HOME WARRANTY @ALL!!!!!

Mrs.,

We apologize for any confusion. In relation to your complaints, I will address each case individually. Your plumbing claim was quoted for repair because we do not cover leaks outside the main foundation of the home. (Listed on page 3 of your contract- "NOT INCLUDED: leaks or breaks in lines outside of the foundation.") We do offer an optional coverage for plumbing external main line protection, which is listed in your contract as an additional cost, but was declined upon enrollment. Your refrigerator was not covered because it was infested with roaches and per our contract, we do not cover "a malfunction that was caused by misuse, abuse, or damage by people, pests, rodents, pets, or insects." In relation to your oven claim, per page ¬6 of your contract, "If any system or appliance is missing the manufacturer's ID tag, or if the ID tag Is unreadable it will not be covered." We have this explicitly listed in your contract because without the ID tag, we cannot ensure adequate part replacement. In response to your call being disconnected, we reserve the right to disconnect a call if you or any homeowner are being verbally abusive or using foul language with our employees, which you were. Additionally, we do not "deny claims all day", we have less than a 2% denial rate. While you may think our contract is bogus, you can find all the information needed to successfully use our service to your benefit, understand what we provide, and the general limitations and exclusions that apply. Our contract is the foundation of our service and will always be adhered to. Please let us know if you have any additional questions, or need a copy of your contract. In the future, I hope you can see the value we provide as we pride ourselves on customer service.

They cover little to nothing, despite being a home warranty
Their warranty came as part of our closing deal on our home. The problem I have with themis the fact that this SCAM puts money in their and the contractors pockets and does little to protect the home owner. How is it that I can replace the item myself for a fraction of what they "require" me to spend using their "required" contractors, then they reimburse a fraction of the cost?!
Look at the complaints on their social media page. I couldn't find a single good review. Not one. What's that tell you?

Desired Outcome

Refund me the cost of the *** home warranty and let me move on. It's a total waste!

Ms., on 6/3/20 we advised Mr. that we would gladly reimburse for the part that failed only, which is what our contract with you states, should you step outside the warranty to have your water heater replaced. The documents required per our contract include the following: an invoice from a licensed plumber showing the install was made and a green tag from the city showing that it passed inspection after the install. We offered the cost of the water itself at $538 as the eligible reimbursement amount. Our vendor offered to install the next day and you declined requesting to replace the water heater yourself. In order for your items to be covered under the warranty, the repairs have to be made by a licensed plumber. $142.63 is the prorated amount of coverage left on your policy. In order to cancel your policy, per our contract, we will deduct a $50 admin fee and any fees we've incurred during the duration of your warranty. Those fees include $105 towards your oven repair. $142.63 is not enough to deduct the $155 in order to do cancel your policy. Your coverage expires on 8/19/20. We can terminate your policy today with NO eligible refund amount or you can keep it open until the last day.
