Review: On June 5, 2013, Nationwide Carpet Cleaning cleaned my carpet in a home in [redacted], VA that we were in the process of selling. I told the owner [redacted] that we were seriously considering replacing out carpet and he assured me his method of carpet cleaning was high quality and if I wasn't satisfied, he would refund my money. He measured the rooms and quoted the highest price square footage price of $199.00. Earlier, we had agreed that he would honor the $149.00 price. Our home was under 950 square feet with largely laminate floors. Upon completion, the majority of the carpet (both levels) along the baseboards were very dirty, discolored and dingy. He assured me earlier that the only issue in cleaning our carpets would be the wear of the carpet on the stairs. Additionally, [redacted] gave me a card stating that Nationwide is rated A+ (at that particular time), and when we checked the internet the next day, we found it to be NOT TRUE. On 6/23/13, his status had changed. Upon completion, I told him that we were not satisfied; and charged me $268.50. Later that same evening, I called his cell phone and someone who said that he was [redacted]'s father (sounded just like him, ironically), would not honor the refund. I told him that I felt we were deceived. The soot and dirt along the baseboards was extremely unsightedly and I would never have agreed to have him clean my carpets if the end product looked as poorly as he left it. Again, I asked him for, at least, a partial refund (50%) since we were so dissatisifed, but he would not abide by my request to make this right!Desired Settlement: We have since moved to Florida and this is the reason why this request has taken so long. I did contact [redacted] Credit Card Services on June 25, 2013,to dispute the charges, but after providing all requested documentation, [redacted] told me that since this business would not guarantee their work and therefore, I was not entitled to a refund. The owner, [redacted] told me face to face that he guaranteed his work, but, unfortunately, does not live up to his word. I hope and pray that no one else be subjected by this unethical company and their lies and promises about their work. On his work invoice, I refused to sign the statement...."I hereby acknowledge the satisfactory completion of the above described work". I truly hope this company will be exposed for their shoddy work and ultimate lies to their customers.

I am rejecting this response because: Nationwide Carpet Cleaning (NCC) misrepresented their rates, does not guarantee their service (which I did not know at the time) and promised me a refund if I was unsatisfied. When we discussed the issues of my dissatisfaction, he refused any refund. When I asked for a compromise on half of the refund, he again refused. When I disputed the credit card bill, it was denied simply because this company does not guarantee their work. I did employ another 3rd party opinion (whom the credit card company required as part of the dispute process). They agreed that the work from NCC was shoddy. I NEVER did submit pictures of NCC's work to the credit card company as the owner of the carpet cleaning company insists.We hired this company based on his word and we were on a short time table. NCC gave me a company card that stated that he had a 3-room special of $99 (up to 650 sq. ft; our house was 750 sq. ft with kitchen and bathroom having either tile or laminate) and he charged me $268.50. He also stated that he was rated A+ by the Revdex.com (at the time of the work which was on June 5, 2013) so we took his word on it. We were notifed of a quick move out of state and didn't think our carpets would clean up enough to make the house marketable for a quick sale. The owner came out the next day and claimed that the carpets would be like new or my money back. AFter several aggravating phone calls, I decided to just dispute the charges. At that point we checked online and realized that NCC was not backed by the good name of the Revdex.com.I have further documentation on the 3rd party carpet cleaning inspection, in addition to all the documentated dispute on my credit card bill in my possession and would be happy to submit for further evaluation.
