Nationwide Collision Service & Sales Reviews (5)

I was sold a salvage car under the impression that it had a clean title. Because of it I can't get the proper title and the seller is avoiding me.I found an ad for a 2005 Nissan Maxima on Craigslist located in Memphis, TN. I called the number and the guy told me to come up to memphis to buy it. He told me the title was clean and it also stated that on the craiglist ad so I had no reason to question it. I went to Memphis the next morning on 10/15/15 to look at the car. I test drove it and decided to buy it for $3,500 because it was a good deal. The whole time I am at this shop, which is Nationwide Collision Service and Sales, he is telling me there is nothing wrong with the car and that it runs fine and the title is clean and everything. When I give him the money he shows me the title and everything looks normal from my observation. He even shows me where to sign it on the back. There was a sticker covering up the part of the title that said "Salvage" so that I could not see it. Because of that sticker all I could see was the word "Certificate" which looked legit to me. The sticker looked like it was a part of the title and was supposed to be on there so I didn't think to question it. He seemed like a fair and honest guy. After I bought the car I left and went back to Tupelo, MS which is where I had came from. I took the title to the courthouse in Tupelo to get it signed over to me that same day and the lady at the desk told me she could not get a tag for the car or sign it over to me because it was a salvage car and it had to have the proper documents such as invoices of receipts from part used to reconstruct the car and photos of the damage. This was my first moment realizing that he has sold me a salvage car. I could not tell by the looks of the car that it had been damaged since it was obviously already repaired. I called the guy I bought it from back, whose name was Lemonte G[redacted]. I didn't know his full name at that time though because on the receipt he just signed it as L. G[redacted]. When I called him I told him I needed all of the other documents since the car was salvaged. He said didn't fix anything no it but the back bumper and taillight. He said he didn't think they would put me through all of that trouble of getting those documents, but said he would still send them anyway. He insisted that he would just mail me the documents instead of having me travel all the way back to Memphis to pick them up. I believed him so I waited for him to do that the same day. He never did it. I called and texted him back a few times that day and he said he would send it off when he got home since he was out driving. By the end of the night I had not heard back from him so I texted him again and he said he would send it the next day. He never sent it and from then on stopped replying to my messages and stopped answering my calls. I had no other way of contacting him. At this point I felt like he scammed me. He knew what he was doing and knew I couldn't get car registered in my name with just the salvage certificate he gave me. I called all of the DMV offices as well as revenue offices in MS and TN to see how I could get around having the documents to get my title for the car. It has taken all of 2 months to get the stuff I need because the car still has to be inspected and everything. I also found out at the courthouse that he did not sign the title in the right place for me to be able to get it signed over to me. It is not even his name that is on the title. He has avoided me since then and I can't find him at the shop when I went back to ask him in person. He lied to me about everything with this car. I can't do anything with the car now because of what he did. He knew he was selling me a salvage car that I could not get a tag for and kept that information from me. Desired SettlementI deserve either a refund of my money for the purchase or to be able to get the title signed over to me. If he is not able to get the title fixed for me I deserve to get my money back for all of the stress and heartache this has put me through. He should not be in business anymore. He shouldn't be able to rip other people off like this.

Complaint1.Name and address of business:"Nationwide Auto and Collision." Located on 710 N. Parkway 38105 Memphis,TN. & newly relocated to the corner of Summer Ave/Eva St 38112 Memphis, TN.2.Explain the problem & include date.Hello, I am having a serious issue with this company. I purchased a 2007 Mercury Milan from this business on June 1, 2015. The business promised that they had to file some paperwork on the car because it had a salvaged title. I have delt with the guys who owned this business once before but I was unaware of the scheme they were intentionally implementing. When I purchased the vehicle, I did not immediately recieve the title due to the promises the individuals "Andrew C[redacted] and Lamonte G[redacted]" gave me regarding necessary paperwork. I accepted this unknowing that the title was a salvaged title and after fully paying for the vehicle, I patiently waited for updates on the title. 1 month and a half rolls by and they continuously dodged my calls and my questions when I approached them at their facility. Then on July 31, 2015 when I inquired about the title for about the 30th time, Andrew and Lamonte called the authorities on me and lied telling the authorities that I assaulted them. I had a witness present at this current time. I ended up charged with a felony charge "aggravated assault" due to their lies and deceiving nature towards the authorities. I have had to pay a lawyer to get the charge reduced and now I am on diversion papers. That's not even it, They promised me a 6 month warranty on the vehicle when I purchased it and included it in their documentation, yet one October evening perhaps Oct 19, 2015 the car unexpectedly spun around out of control on the interstate and crashed into the medium. This was due to a failing axle and they didn't even acknowledge the warranty. I contacted multiple lawyers and they all informed me that this was a civil issue but I am not familiar with the legal process in relations to issues like this. After getting in touch with a friend who is the mother of one of their employees, I saw a glimpse a hope. What is unfortunate is that after 5 months they handed that lady the title to the vehicle but the necessary salvage paperwork was still never completed. I took the title to Shelby county office and it got rejected because of this. I wrote a letter informing them of circumstances and got it notarized and it still was unacceptable to the department. They told me the second time that the company is not registered with the state of tennessee and that I should contact the Revdex.com. Now one more thing, a guy ended up ramming the side of vehicle , driver side rear, back on October 21, 2015, two days after the car spun around on the interstate, and the vehicle was deemed a total loss by the rammer's insurance company and I was hospitalized. Today, December 31, 2015, I still am unable to recieve the claim money because of the title issue. I have never in my entire life witnessed such cruel, treachery and greed. My whole life has went in a totally different direction because of this man and I want something to be done about this at long last!3. Resolution. At this point these are my 4 options for resolving this absolutely dirty scheme.A. I want a full refund for the vehicle I purchased, and I also will still need the title so I can recieve my entitled claim money from when another driver hit me.B. I want the completed title to the vehicle within the next month January 2016.C. I would like to sue this man "Andrew C[redacted]" and his company that he keeps alternating for everything he has put me through!!!!D. "Andrew C[redacted]"need to not ever be allowed to ever run a business. He has a history of theft and fraud after researching. I am not the only one who is suffering from dealing with this snake in the city of Memphis, TN.4. Name address and phonenumber.[redacted] Dr Memphis, TN XXXXXCONTACT: XXXXXXXXXX or XXXXXXXXXXI have documentation. *Proof of purchase. *The title I can't use.*Identifications.*Witnesses throughout the ordeal.

We were lied to and cheated by representatives of this company. We would not have bought a vehicle knowing it is salvaged. August 18, 2015I purchase a [redacted] for sale at Nationwide Collision, (vin #[redacted]) with the bill of sale stating the Nationwide Collision as the seller yesterday, August 17, 2015. I was told that the vehicle was in good running condition, good transmission, and that the title was clean, neither were true. I took the vehicle to the dealer to get an oil change and the dealer told me that the car was badly damaged after doing a multi-point inspection. The referred us to a body shop to see if we could just fix the damage, but were informed that the damage was anywhere from $3000 to $5000. We obtained a second opinion and it site the a similar amount. After the dealer pulled a [redacted] report, it showed that the vehicle had been in an accident and was totaled by [redacted] of Hattiesburg, MS on from accident on February 20, 2015. After observing the title in lieu of information, we found that the title had been altered with stickers that appeared to be a part of the document covering the words salvage on the title, (duplicate sticker on back of document). We contacted the seller and was told that it was just a finder bender. Only the light and the bumper was replaced only, nothing else wrong. We told him the info we gathered from the dealership and Seller responded that the dealership was lying. He further stated that he no longer had the money because he had to pay his taxes. We were lied to and cheated. We would not have bought a vehicle knowing it is salvaged. We are able to include a copy of the [redacted] report, an estimate for damage, text communications, and the posted ad stating the title was clean. We just want our money back and to return the vehicle. Thanks, [redacted]Desired SettlementSpeak with the company about refunding the money and receiving the vehicle back as if this never happened. Posting this occurrence to your website to let others know that this happened and they practice deceptive business practices. Notification of media. Other advice on how to rectify the problem.
