Nationwide Debt Busters

Review: I turned in seven invoices for collection and they have collected nothing. They also keep calling back to ask for more money to pursue judgments etc. According to the court records nothing has been issued to any of the debtors I turned over. The last time they wanted $1500.00 to move forward. I refused and asked for more money back. There has been no contact with them since. I feel they are a scam. Debt collectors are supposed to collect debt not from their clients.Desired Settlement: Return my money for the retainer I paid.

Review: We hired Nationwide Debt Busters to collect on two accounts for our business, Select Comfort Systems on 1-7-14. Their contract states they don't charge a fee unless they recover your debt. Tony was our rep. They called a couple of months later and said we needed to pay them $750.00 for attorney fees to freeze the account of the person who owes us money. We sent them a check. We have talked to them several times and keep getting told the person who handles our account will have to call us back. No one ever calls back. On 5-21-14, Sophie Fox the supposed manager told us the funds were secured and we would see our money in a week. All of the phone numbers we have for them are disconnected. ###-###-####, ###-###-####, ###-###-####.Desired Settlement: We would like to get our money back.

Review: Nationwide Debt Busters called and agreed to collect on 2 of our clients in our small business that did not pay. Of course, they guaranteed they would get collection. WE PAID them $677.00 and then heard nothing and we can't reach them. Believe this has to be a scam. The address that they gave us was Nationwide Debt Busters, [redacted] W Gonzales Rd, Ste 206, Oxnard, Ca. 93036Desired Settlement: That we get a refund on service paid but not completed on collecting unpaid bills. We need a refund !

Review: Nationwide Debt Busters called..."[redacted]" he talked us into using their company for collections... we sent the information and he called and said he had already held all the peoples money from their bank accounts and needed a check right away to get the process going as since the money was there he would have it back in 3 months.. the amount we paid them and the amounts from the customers since they already had their account on a "hold" . We sent $5862. to them on 12/4/13 and yesterday I left the millionth message.. I talked to "Tony" 3 weeks ago and he assured me all was going right and he would call on Monday to let me know when our check would be returned to us and when the customers money would be collected. Now TODAY all the phones are out of service and I can no longer fax. I have not seen complaints about this company online and really thought it was legit... Review: Contacted by company stating they are a collection company and would like to collect our companies past due accounts. Account sent to them, paid huge "legal fees" up front, stated account was ready for payment thru the courts in January. As of this date, no funds have been sent, no documentation showing they actually tried to collect on the account, and am no longing able to contact them, nor have they contacted me.Desired Settlement: Would like all legal fees paid to be returned along with release of account sent to them for collection OR Total amount they stated that I would be receiving sent. Deliver what they promised.

Review: Was informed this company could collect debt owed to us from customers who never paid. Sent them invoices as to who owed us. They told us they contacted our customers they acknowledge they owe the debt so it should be a win win case. Sent them our check for $3,262.00 and never heard from them again. The phone just rings and rings and some number, their website are disconnected.Desired Settlement: To be paid back what money we sent them, the $3,262.00.
