Review: On June 13,2013 I placed a $2,200.00 deposit on a sofa, loveseat, and chase. The store sales person [redacted] informed me that they did not have the merchandise in stock, so I order a similar floor sample that I like from their store catalog which was a total of $3,424.00.He stated that it was just a simple matter of ordering it from the warehouse and I would have it in two weeks. After two weeks had pass and I did not received the merchandise as promise, I called the store to inquire about the status of my order and he stated they did not know when it would come in. On July 17,2014 I went into the store to find what was going on with the order, that when another sales person informed me that the furniture was being made overseas by [redacted] Furniture and would be shipped in when it was ready and they did not know when that would be. I was shock! informed them that I was not told this in the beginning and the promise me two weeks from date of order. I also informed them that I had gotten rid of my old livening room set, and was moving to my house in the [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like my deposit of $2,200.00. back.

Review: A living room suite was purchased through a layaway policy. The sellers agreed to an extended layaway process as long as payments were made. For approximately 11 months, payments were made. When I went to pay off the layaway, I was told that it had expired because layaway is only for three months, but if I wanted to reinstate the purchase it would cause an additional $75. I pointed out that they had consistently accepted payments beyond the three month layaway period because they had said that I could have an extended layaway. Nevertheless, after reinstating the layaway, I was told that the furniture would arrive at the store with a week or a week in a half. Five days later, the store manager, [redacted], called and spoke with my mother. He said that only one piece of the suite had arrived. They did not have the other two pieces but if I wanted it, I could pay $150 and they could get it in two months. Later that afternoon, I called and also spoke to [redacted]. He denied that he said this to my mother and told me that the entire living room suite had arrived but they were waiting for my check to clear. I asked him if that was the case then why was he calling me? He claimed that he just wanted me to know that they had good service. Then he asked me, "Honey, (the 2nd time he referred to my by this term) when do you want the furniture delivered. I responded that I thought he was waiting for the check to clear. He said that he was and it would be no problem and would did I need it delivered. When it was finally delivered late, they could not fit it into the door. They wanted to charge me an extra fee to break down the furniture in order to get it through the door. The problem was there was nothing in writing on contract that stated how much this fee was. The manager, [redacted], gave us two different prices plus he claimed that I did not pay for the delivery serviceDesired Settlement: The manager told the furniture movers to return the items to the store. Instead, they loaded the sectional back into the truck, but did not load the matching chair back. They left if in the house I told the that I wanted them to take the chair back too, but they left. I went to the store and personally spoke to the manager. He was very defensive. I asked for the store owner's name and information. He did not want to tell me the owner's last name or provide any contact information. He kept saying that I had to pay a delivery fee (which I paid in advance) and the extra fee for breaking down the furniture. When I gave him the check number and amount that I had already paid, he backtracked on the delivery fee. Finally, he agreed to waive the breakdown fee and the furniture is supposed to be delivered on Tuesday.

Review: NEVER RECIVEING ONE NITE STAND

On July 29, 2014 I visited Nationwide Furniture and Mattress Inc. (Furniture and Mattress Gallery) , [redacted], to purchase bedroom furniture. (Sales Order # [redacted]) I order one king bed, two nightstands, a dresser with mirror and chess with a down payment of two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) cash. I was told it would take ten to fourteen days before I would receive the furniture.

On August the 12th I returned to the store to check on the delivery date. This was the start of a nightmare.

On the Wednesday evening the 13th I received a call and missed it. No message was left. So I returned the call leaving my name and phone number, that evening. Then I called again in the morning.

On Thursday the 14th at 6pm I received another call from [redacted] asking to come in and look at the bed.

Friday morning August the 15th about 11:30 am, I went to the store, [redacted] states to pay in full before the delivery. I did not go to the store with money. So we discussed I would pay when the delivery man reached my residence. I returned to the store and paid two thousand five hundred and fifteen dollars ($2,515) cash and the delivery would be about 4pm.

I waited for a call and by 5:30 pm. I received no call. I called and was told there would be no delivery that day and if I wanted I could return and get my money. I did return that August the 15th and got my $2,500 back. I was also told the furniture would come in on Tuesday the 19th. When Tuesday came I was told I would have to wait until the Tuesday the 26th. Tuesday I went to the store, 11:30 am, and paid the balance of $2,500.They showed me an anwa and stated I was receiving that instead of a chest to make up for the delay in time. Then the wait began the delivery people arrived the 26th at 7:30 pm. They only delivered a king bed, one nightstand and the dresser. They said they would return later that evening but they did not.

They came back the 27th at 5 pm only with the amwa. I asked about the nightstand and they said they did not have it. I called the store and [redacted] said I would receive it on the following Tuesday September 2, 2014. When September 2 came, no nightstand came. I was told I could not get a delivery because the company no long accepted checks for items they were purchasing, they needed cash. At the time their manager was not available to give them cash. .

When returning to the store, [redacted] made the statement on September the 8th, “I would get my nightstand soon if God was willing.”

On the 10th I went to the store, [redacted] showed me an invoice where he faxed it to the company ordering the nightstand. He stated I would receive the nightstand on Friday the 12th. Waiting again, Friday 7:30 pm I called the store, I was told by [redacted] I would receive the nightstand on Saturday September 13 at 2pm. As of today, September 14, I have not received a night stand or a call from the store.Desired Settlement: I would like my nightstand to be delivered and I would like my delivery fee refunded.
